PLP and a scare

The last few days have been going well. I have managed to find the time to get yoga done most nights and I have been able to meditate before going to sleep. I still have got so much to do with the kitchen. It has become the dumping ground for things that we have not been able to keep in the living room due to the younglings getting hold of them so it is now very cluttered. I have been doing my best to get bits done every day and then if I manage to keep the clean bits clean I will be able to get that room sorted. Well that is the plan anyway but it is not going as well as I had hoped. We will get there though.

Zander had his PLP (personal learning plan) at nursery this week. It seems like a really good idea. Instead of having a yearly report to how they are doing I get to know what is happening several times a year. We also get involved as well with it and the younglings can see their PLP folder anytime they want. It looks really funky.

I had a scare with Zander today though. I decided to walk home part of the way with my friend and her daughters. It was very sweet when we started walking from school as one of my friends daughters held my hand as we walked. As we were walking Zander was running ahead and even when I called after him he was not listening to me and just carried on running. At least I could see him and my friend’s eldest daughter was walking ahead so I was not too worried. The scare that I got was when he decided to run out onto the main road. Even when I shouted after him he was not listening. Thankfully there were no cars on the road at that time. Sadly people go along that road far too fast for a built up road and it was in that same spot that a few days a go when a car crashed after overtaking another car. It happened when there were school children about in the morning and it was amazing that no one was hurt.

I have decided that the next time I walk home with my friend I will tell him that if he runs off again I will keep him close to me by means of a wrist strap before he gets the chance to run into the road again as next time he might not be so lucky as he was today.

The twins are funky though. I have noticed tonight that Elbereth is teething again. Maybe that is why she has been objecting when I have cleaned her teeth. Elbereth has developed a habit of sitting against something and then rocking back and forward bashing her head against it. Like when I put her in her cot she will sit against the side and bash her head into the side. This means that at her bed time all I could hear was a constant thump, thump, thump of her before she falls asleep. As a result the cot has been shook apart. I have not put Malach in her cot and her in Malachs travel cot. I need to get them a new cot bed each though as while they will not be in a cot for much longer they are not ready for a bed yet.

It has been a while

It has been a while since I last posted on this.

I have been so busy that I just not had the chance to do so. I have started doing Yoga at night and during the day now that Wolfie has started nursery I do not get much chance to then, especially as I am trying to declutter the flat and clean up as well as decluttering the shed.

The twins are doing really well and I cannot believe that they are 20 months old already. Time really has flown, they are no longer babies but are now toddlers. In the last few months their personalities have really developed. They are so cute. Elbereth is such a little lady and Malach is so funny (his giggle is just so cute) they both like rock music and will often dance when I put some music on. It is very cute but both Malach and Elbereth’s favourite song is a live version of bring your daughter to the slaughter. They both dance in their own way. Elbereth likes rocking back and forward where as Malach likes to sway from side to side and tapping his foot.

Wolfie is also getting on funkily. He is still mad and has so much energy it is scary but he is funky. He is doing really well at nursery and has settled in really well. He still is not fully toilet trained though. It feels like I have been doing this forever. He is mostly funky during the day but the problem is that while he is nappy-free during the day I am reluctant to take away his nighttime nappy as he mostly has a messy nappy in the morning. We will get there though. The only other thing that we have to work on is how he plays with toys. He is far too rough and has sadly broken most of his toys (including a funky kitchen set which I have got for him, each piece of the set is damaged in some way which will now meant hat when I have done with it I will not be able to take it to a charity shop)

Once I have managed to get the decluttering done and got on top of the housework I am planning on using the time that Wolfie is at nursery to start planning what I will do when I start working from home. I am luck that the twins take a daytime nap when Wolfie is at nursery so I get some free time during the day.

I am not really sure what I am going to do but I would love to make and sell collages. I have also been thinking recently of developing my writing skills so that I can write short stories. I think what I will have to do is write down all of the possible things that I could do and work from there.

I think that is it for now though I will do my best to keep this updated more often from now on.

Here is a funky picture of all of my younglings sat on the sofa reading (Malach was reading and the at last minute he looked at Wolfie) it was lovely when they did that and it has sadly not happened since but I am glad that I was able to get a picture of it.
