It was my sons first school assembly today. It was cute to see him and he did well. It will be better next year as we will be back in the proper school. The school is due to be finished being built in August. The old school had to be demolished (it was nearly two years ago when they found the problem with the building and they had to set up an alternative building to use for the school and nursery.
It still went well and I saw my friend there so I was able to chat to her for a bit (well in between acts that is)
The weather was really hot today so I was really grateful for my friend giving me some long skirts as they have helped me so much. I think I will have to get some more long dresses and skirts. I will have a look in the charity shop the next time I am out shopping.
I am a little annoyed with my partner. I was out of the room (he knew I was out of the room at the time) but he still did not keep a proper look out n the younglings and they have damaged one of my items. Thankfully it is easily repairable but that is not the point. That sort of thing does not happen when I am around but when but it does when my partner is looking after them. He says that he will leave the computer off but he just does not do it and you cannot concentrate on the job that you should be doing when you are concentrating on that. Maybe one day he will actually switch it off and do what he has said that he will do.

Monday 28th
I decided to have a nice lazy day. I watched some cheesy TV and relaxed for a bit (when the younglings had gone to bed that was)
It was nice to do for a change.
The twins had their sing along at the nursery today. They were great and my son sang really nicely. He was complimented lots for how well he did. I got lots of pictures of them.

Much better now
I am pretty much over my cold now. I am very pleased about that. My partner was lovely and gave me a nice lie in today. I got up earlier than yesterday as I had got some jobs to do.
The first being sorting through the clothes in the younglings bedroom. I sorted out lots that are too small for them and it looks so much better. I need to make sure that I keep it like that. Or if it does start to get disorganized sort it out as soon as possible.
The younglings have not been too bad. My daughter has had her moments though, one when she was scattering things about (like cards and salt) but it has not been too bad. She got time out when I caught her scattering the salt though. We just need to keep doing that so that she gets the message.
It was funny at one point when I looked across at the park and saw the twins there playing. They had escaped from the garden and gone over there to play. If I knew that they would stay in the park then they could have stayed there but I know that they would have gone exploring, so they had to come back. Though they are getting to the point when they will be able to go there and play without me having to be there with them (it will be good for them to start to get some independence)

Beginning to feel better
I still have got a cough and I am a little bunged up but I do feel much better in myself. I had a good lie in today and that really helped.
Another thing that helped was that my partner took the wee ones to his mums. They had dinner there as well. I might not have spent much time relaxing as I was cleaning the living room but it was still nice to have the peace and quiet to do it. It gave me chance to move the computer desks and clean under them. I was doing it to not only clean under there but to check if there was any mouse poo. There thankfully was none and there was no insects there either (A while ago I found some wee beasties under our computer desks, thankfully there has not been any for a long time)
Another good thing happened today. Even though my partner told my eldest son that he would not be playing the car computer game for a week due to him getting too upset while playing it, he let him play it...all morning. Shortly after I got up and had got back from returning some library books he was once again getting upset while playing the computer game. I decided that enough was enough. I got him off the computer and told him that he was not going on it again for the rest of the day. He was not happy about it but after a while he accepted that he was not going back on.
I also started sorting through my photography magazines as well. I finally feel that I am beginning to get organized. As well as organizing my time better and getting my priorities right (I spent too much time on the computer looking at things that were not worth wasting my time on)

Not well today
I went to bed a bit too late last night and of course it did not help that I am not too well at the moment. I managed to get up without too much problems this morning but I did not feel good and my voice does not sound good.
In some ways it is is a good thing as I am not able to shout at the younglings, it is forcing me to find a way of dealing with them without shouting at them or raising my voive.
I have taken some Lemsips and after a short cat nap in the afternoon I have started to feel a lot better. My partner has told me that I can get a lie in tomorrow as he is not going to his friends house tonight. I am looking forward to that.
My partner has not had an alcoholic drink for a fortnight. I think he is doing really well. I know that when you are in the habit of having a few drinks regularly it will feel strange not to drink but I think he is doing really well not to drink.

Coming down with a cold
Even though it was my lie in day I did not really get a lie in as I was up early to go and visit my friend. I will have to make sure that I am in bed at a good time tonight. There are some things that I would like to get done as well. I would like to do a tarot reading for myself and for a friend.
Visiting my friend went well this morning and I told her that I would still like to visit during the holidays. Before I only visited during term time but I would like to still visit once a week through the holidays. Hopefully I will be able to do this. She said that she will take me up to a shop so that I will be able to get some simple board games to play with my eldest.
After visiting her I called in on another friend on the way home. It was nice to see her. She will be having her future sister in law coming over to stay with her for a while. She will be looking after her wee ones when she returns to work. It is going to become really cramped in her home though. She is in a two bedroom flat. She lives with her fiancé, three children and soon her future sister in law. Hopefully it will go well for her.

I was feeling fine until shortly after I had put the wee ones to bed (they are not settling off that well at the moment and I do not know what is causing it, the only thing that I can think of is the weather) but I have got a sore throat, have started coughing and I feel a bit sick. Tired
Maybe it is the weather that has been affecting me but I am feeling really tired. Thankfully I will get a bit of a lie in tomorrow. It will not be that long though as I will be going to my friends house in the morning.
I would have normally gone over this morning but it was the twins teddy bears picnic. I like to go along and help out. I think it is lovely to be there and see what they get up to. I really enjoyed today.
One of the teachers at the nursery had some clothes to pass onto my daughter. I thought that was lovely of her to do that. The clothes are lovely and I think it is so nice of her to think of me. I always feel so grateful when people do things like that.
One sweet thing that my twins did today was start to help me with my cleaning mission. They have been seeing me clean a lot recently and they are doing the same. They were taking sponges and washing tables, doors and my son was cleaning the bathroom. It was so sweet to see them.

A bit crabbit
Today started off well. My partner was doing the school run so I was able to get a lovely lie in.
I then started work on cleaning the bedroom and I have made good progress (the only thing left to deal with is a small pile on my chair)
I started to get in a bad mood though during the day. I think I let myself get influenced by my partners bad mood and by my youngest son playing up. He was taking things like my daughter normally does. She thankfully has been good but he has not been.
Getting them to bed was a challenge. It was past nine before I had finished reading to them and my partner needed to take over as well. Thankfully the were all asleep not too long after that.
I need to make sure that it is not too late before I crash as it is the teddy bears picnic tomorrow.

Traveling back and not feeling too good
Even though I got a good sleep I still felt tired this morning. I think the last few days were catching up with me.
We managed to get ready quickly and get out in plenty of time to get the train. We had enough time to go into the pound shop there. We managed to get some great things and some toys for the younglings, as well as something to eat on the train.
The train journey went really well and we got back home in good time. We even had time to relax before collecting my eldest from school. My partners mum bought the twins back over to us.
I did not do too much cleaning today as I have not really been feeling that good as well as being really tired.
I was not impressed with my partner. He has been helping fix my computer and while that is great I was not happy with how he reacted to our daughter. What she did was not good though, she switched off my computer while he was working on it. He had been working on it for a while. He was so mad with her that she wet herself, the poor wee poppet.
He did feel bad about it once he had calmed down and has said that he needs to work on his temper. he really does as I would not tolerate it if he did what he did to her to me.

Youngest son not well
My youngest son is not that well at the moment. It is sadly the same problem that he has had before. He is getting his inhaler lots at the moment. I am worried about him. He does not seem really bad at the moment, but he really seems to be struggling at night at the moment and is not getting a good sleep. Last night he came into my bedroom at around two in the morning. That is not like him at all.
I do hope that he starts to improve soon. My partner thinks that his turn for the worse is linked to the weather. It is hot at the moment and it feels really stifling. It also does not help that I have put up a lot of layers on the curtains to keep the room dark as that negates the effect of having the window open. The vent does not seem to be doing much either.
We will keep an eye on him over the next few days. He seems fine during the day though. He was not having any problems with breathing or coughing when he was at nursery. I have been trying to get him to sleep upright as that will help him with his breathing but he does not like it. I need to find a way to wedge him into a more upright position, but one that will be comfortable for him.
I have just tried tying back the curtains to let some cool air into the room to see if that helps. I will close them when I go to bed but hopefully the fresh cool air will help him. The last time that that we went through to him he told my partner and I that he was hot. We will see what happens in the next hour.
Thankfully the others seem to be in good health at the moment.

Better day
Well from my daughter that is. She did have her moments but her McGrawing was not so bad. Well not as bad as it has been. Thankfully I was able to catch her in the process of Mcgrawing and able to get her to stop. I will just have to keep vigilant with her.
My eldest son did something that shocked me. I had collected him from school and while in the park he told me that he needed a wee. I was in the process of telling him to hold on to it until we got home when I saw him with his bit out weeing in the middle of the park. I did not find it amusing at the time but now it is, when I asked him what he was doing that for he told me that he was watering the grass. I was not happy with what he did, but he has told me that he will never do that again.
I had a look at his learning book today. I had to put a comment in before sending it back. I will get it to keep at the end of term. We are going to ahve to work on building up his confidence and improving his concentration.
When I was at my friend house this morning she was giving me some tips about things that we can do with him over the summer holidays to help him so that he does not relapse too much before he starts P2.

A busy day
It was my turn for a lie in. I really needed it too. I had meant to get up at nine and get some housework done. However I got up at gone ten and by the time I had torn myself away from the Internet it was gone eleven.
I managed to make up for my late start though by getting a lot of work done. I did some work in the living room and kitchen before sorting out the washing.
In the afternoon I spent a long time in my bedroom but I really managed to make the room look nice. It is great to see it look so tidy, I really need to make sure that it stays like that. I have not sorted through the wardrobe as I thought I would leave that for another day. It will take a long time to sort through there.
The younglings have been playing up. My boys have been not too bad. My eldest takes a long time to get settled off at night but that is sadly not new. Sorting through
I do not know what is causing my daughter to be such a pest at the moment but she cannot be left alone for long at all at the moment. She is getting worse at getting things that she should not get. I am going to have to look through the book that I got on children's behaviour.
I am really tired today, so I am looking forward to getting a lie in tomorrow. It will not be the longest lie in but it will be enough to make sure that I get a good rest. I need to continue my blitz on the flat. I have got to clear my desk after I put stuff there today and there is stuff in the bedroom that need to be sorted as well.
My mum phoned me today to let me know that they had made it back. Bless them but yesterday was not a good day for them. Someone broke into their car, thankfully not a lot was taken and what was taken was a dirty pair of golfing trousers, but yesterday when traveling back mum got a nasty nose bleed that would not stop. It took her ages to get it to stop and she needed to get some help. Then when they got home dad realized that he could not find his wallet. Three things in one day, hopefully that is the challenging stage over with.
I have been through the DVD's today and sorted out the ones that we do not watch and am going to sell them. this was the pile that I sorted out. There are still a lot that we are going to keep but they are the ones that we have not watched for a long time (one of them is still wrapped in cellophane). If I really want to see them then I can rent them out.

Getting organized
I managed to get a lovely lie in this morning. I needed it after yesterday.
After I had that I started working on the housework. I started clearing the clutter from the chair in my room and when my partner took the younglings to him mums home I worked on the living room. I managed to make good progress. I have been watching some cleaning programmes as it has been helping motivate me to get the work done. I have been watching Anthea Turner's perfect housewife and How clean is your home.
I do not know what has happened to my computer though. Well it is not my computer but my Internet browser. The browser is an updated edition but it is like it has been deleted and reinstalled. All of my bookmarks have gone and all of my add-ons and tool bars as well. It is very strange. It was annoying to lose my bookmarks, but then when I was thinking about it I never spent any time reading through them so I do not know what I am missing. I am going to make sure that I keep my new books marks well organized so that I can find them better. I have had some fun trying to find different funky craft sites.

Trip to Aviemore
Today has been a long day. I took my eldest son to Aviemore today. I have never been to Aviemore before so it was good to get there. It was also nice to get to spend some time with just one of my younglings. It was also nice to see my brother. I have not seen him for a long time. It was lastly also nice to get the chance to see my mum and dad again before they go back to Cornwall.
It was a love day even though it was very long. I had to get a bus back from the changing place as I was not able to get a connecting train. At least I was able to get a train though.
I was not happy n I got home though as I found that my daughter had scattered a lot of my stuff. The worst McGraw day ever.

Typically
As the younglings were back at school today they decided that they would sleep in. I had to wake them at about quarter past seven. I could have done with that when they were off.
Though I really have to do something about my daughter. She really is getting bad at touching things that she should not. I will have to find a way to get her to stop her going for the things that she should not be going for.
I did get the school photographs of the younglings today so that was a good thing about them. It was lovely to look at them in the pictures. I have had to contact the studio though as I have not received the E-Mail copy of all three of them. Hopefully it will not be long before it arrives.

Playing outside
I decided that my younglings have been spending too much time on the computers so they should have some computer free time.
When I get them off the computers however they just run around and be very noisy. There sadly is not the room to do that here, so I sent them out into the garden. It was not that warm this morning but I put them in appropriate clothing and got them in wellies and they were happy enough when out.
It just gave them the chance to get out and have the freedom to run around and make noise without me having to tell them to be quiet.
I used that time to clean the kitchen. I still have got work to do in there but at least the sides are looking much better again and free of clutter. I could do with Kevin's help with the housework but even though he said he would help he has not. He used to be good at cleaning the living room at the end of the day but he is not doing that very well. He picks up the toys but he is not sweeping up (well if he is it does not look like he is) It just means extra work for me and I really am struggling not only to stay on top of the clutter but sort through the clutter that we have got.

I could do with Kevin's help with the housework but even though he said he would help he has not. He used to be good at cleaning the living room at the end of the day but he is not doing that very well. He picks up the toys but he is not sweeping up (well if he is it does not look like he is) It just means extra work for me and I really am struggling not only to stay on top of the clutter but sort through the clutter that we have got.
I have started recording a couple of cleaning programmes that will hopefully give me some tips on how to get through the junk.

Another busy day
I have been busy again today. Mum helped with the cleaning as well. I have been watching Anthea Turners perfect housewife. There was some tips about folding towels. I went through where the bedding and towels are and I refolded and organized it. It looks so much better now. I am really glad that I have done it. It did not take long to do either.
My dad and my partner took the pile of garbage that we had sorted out to the tip. It was nice to see more space in the garden.
The younglings though did play up during the afternoon and went really loud. They are spending too much time on the racing game and even when they are not on it they are running around and being far too noisy. The neighbor above put his music on really loud. We were worried that we had made him unhappy about the noise and he was retaliating with loud music. The volume was not really the problem but the bass was. At one point we could not even hear the TV.
My partner went up to ask him to turn the TV down. He said that he was not bothered about any noise the younglings were making though. I was pleased about that.
I did take the cop out way when my partner went over to visit his mum with my parents. I let them go back on the computer as while they were playing the game again, they were at least not running around and being so noisy. Though sadly when my eldest got up to go to his brothers computer he knocked the desk and that then in turn knocked R2's dome onto the floor.
Thankfully the new superglue made the job much easier. We did get a worry though when my daughter picked up and took off with the superglue. I do not know what she did with it but I know she must have got some on her lip. She was not impressed with it but thankfully it seems that she has not consumed any. It was a worry though.
When the younglings had settled off I sorted out the books that need to go to the charity shop. I have got three bags of books and one bag of DVD's. I still have more books to go away. It will be good to get the space.

Monday 7th - A very busy day
My mum and dad took the wee ones away to St Andrews. I decided to stay at home as I had some jobs that I needed to get done and that would make it an ideal opportunity to get them done. It was also nice to let my mum and dad spend some quality time with the younglings.
I spent much of the time that they were away in the shed putting all of the stuff that was on the floor into bags. It is mostly paper stuff. I will have to go through one bag at a time and see what I can get rid of.
Once the younglings had gone to bed I then decided to clear the stuff out of the cupboard in the hall after my partner mentioned about it today. I thought it would be good to move the clutter now that there is the room for ti in the shed. I left some things in there that were needed but it now means that there is more room in the cupboard and we can get in with ease.
Because I cleared the shelves it meant that there was then room for the shoes to go. I will keep some shoes in the hall for easy access but I moved all of the shoes that were in the porch and put them out properly on the shelves.
I then cleaned out the porch. I am really pleased with what I have managed to get done.
I do think that we will all need to go to the doctors. I agree with my partner in thinking that we have got a bug of some sort. We all seem to have the same symptoms. We are generally in good health it is just some aspects of it. Hopefully we will be able to find out what is causing the problems and get it fixed.

Off to Falkland palace
I wenht out again with my mum and dad.
We all went up to Falkland. We were going to the palace that is there. I think it is such a pretty place. It looks like a proper traditional village. Because it was Sunday the palace opened later but we were able to walk around a bit and go to a tea room for drinks to spend some time before it opened. It was really nice there and the younglings behaved pretty well. They did play up a wee bit, but it was understandable, going around old buildings generally does not hold much appeal to wee ones.
By the time I got out it was raining. I spent a bit of time chatting to some of the volunteers who sit in the room to offer bits of information about what is there.
The others went back to the car (I think it was more my mum and dad not wanting to be in the rain) but I spent some time walking around the gardens taking lots of pictures. I alway find that when I go to places like Falkland palace I have to spend as much time in the garden than I have spent inside. I feel that it is as much of the experience as the building itself. I would have like to have take pictures inside though, but sadly they are not allowed.
After Falkland we went to Asda where I was able to start getting my eldest son's school uniform ready for him starting school next year. I think my mum thought I was mad at first and she did not seem impressed but I like to be prepared and start getting it in small portions so that the expense does not have too much impact. I was only able to get jumpers. I did get a gym kit but I got the wrong size for some reason. It will do for my youngest next year. I would have got trousers but they did not have the adjustable elastic in them. That would mean that they would not have fitted properly. I do not understand why they do not have that.
At least I was able to get something though. By then it was getting late but we all called in one of the family pubs for something to eat. We were very fortunate that we were able to get a table in the play area. There was a great climbing frame for them. It gave them somewhere to play so we did not have to worry about keeping them still and entertained while we were waiting for the food. It also gave us chance to eat our desert in peace. I did not have anything and I know that they would not have managed it (I could have got them something at home if they really wanted)

A lovely day at the beach
I went to the beach with the wee ones with my mum and dad.
It was really nice at the beach and thankfully while it was hot at times it was not unbearably hot and there was times when there was a nice breeze and it was cooler.

Parents up
I have been really on edge today. I think it is because I have been doing so much rushing about.
I did get a lie in this morning though. I am shattered now though so I am glad that I did. I did have a strange dream this morning though. I think that is the time of the day when I seem to get the strange dreams at the moment. I had a dream that I was walking trhrough the wood at the back of my home when I got a phone call from a character from Star Wars called Trever Flume. He was not thirteen like in the book though he was seventeen (he did not say, I just knew) but I was chatting away with him and before long I was meeting up with him and we were having an affair. It certainl was an interesting way to start the morning. I would not object to that happening every day. I could have lots of affairs with a variety of celebrities. Lots of fun with no risk.
I spent the morning cleaning up before my parents arrived. They brought with them a table for us. It is pretty funky and whilt eI think it is too big for the room we have managed to make it work. We went off to the sports day and then after that I went home while my partner and parents went off to the awards ceremony at the college. It usually is stressful when I take the twins to collect my eldest as it is hard to get them to listen to me.
Tehn when my partner got back my dad was telling me about the things that we should do for the next few days and helping us clear our clutter. I reallt do appreciate their help but I can find myself getting stressed when I get overwhelmed. I get stressed very easily when I am around my parents. I can also find them bullying in some ways. They are putting pressure for us to go to stay with them over summer and I want to take a year off. I want them to come up this year for a change. I will happily go down next year but I just want to take a year off. I wish they would stop.

I have been a very busy bunny today.
My mum and dad are coming up tomorrow for a few days so my partner and I have been working on cleaning the place up. My partner did some good work in the kitchen and in the bathroom, while I worked on my corner.
I have sorted out a big pile of books that I am going to get my friend to take to the charity shop. I have got so many that I have had for years that I have not even read that it is time to get rid of them. I am sick of the clutter. It will also mean that there will be less stuff to take with us when we eventually move. Though I have not got a clue when we will actually be moving.
I also went to visit my firend this morning. I usuaally go to see her on a Wednesday morning but she was busy that morning, so I went today instead. I am glad that did as I would not have been told about the sports day tomorrow. I must have lost my letter about it. It will be good to see his first sports day. I will keep the younglings off nursery so that it will not cause a problem with collecing them at the end of it.

No lie in
I was looking forward to having a nice lie in this morning, but sadly I was disturbed by my partner. This put me in a cranky mood. I was unable to get back to sleep. I just lay in bed and read instead. I finished the last of the Jedi series. I really enjoyed it. It was a pretty sad ending, there was some happy things that happened but it was a surprising ending for a Star Wars book series and one that has been aimed at 9 - 12 year olds. It was a great series. I will be getting more of them as they were a good read. I will be reading them again.
I got something for the younglings today. I like getting magazines for them if there is something worth getting. There was a wee board game on the Pepper Pig magazine. It looked cute and when the twins were getting too excited I decided to get them to play it to calm them down. they really enjoyed it. It was nice to spend some time doing something fun with them. It was also nice to introduce them to board games. I love board games, card games and roe playing games. It would be great to be able to do that with them. I think it is important to do things together as a family.
It was sweet later on though. I was looking for the Star Wars book to read to the younglings. I was not havimg any luck finding it but eventually when I found it I gave my partner a hug and a kiss. My daughter giggled when she saw us and my youngest son joined in with the affection. It is nice to see the positive affect that showing affection brings.
