The night shift went well. I was a little later in going to bed that I had hoped but I was not too late though. I managed to get all of the jobs that I wanted to get done.
I forgot to mention in last nights entry that I managed to get to speak to mum last night and get an update on how dad is getting on. Mum says that he is recovering nicely and that they have once again put a small drain in. They told him that if the wound continues to heal like it is now he might be able to go home on Thursday. Mum says that he is in a lot better spirits now that there is a chance that he is going home.
Malach settled off nicely to sleep but it was Elbereth’s turn to not to settle last night. I took her into bed with me where she settled nicely. They both woke once nor twice in the night an I managed to get up early in the morning.
Devil boys mum and dad came to collect him so that we could get the twins registered. Devil boy decided to phone the office in the town where we live and ask again about registering there. They actually said that they would this time. I was really annoyed because when I went into the office they told me that they did not register baby’s there. Devil boy still had to go out and get a present for his grandma’s birthday. The office phone back later and told us that we have an appointment to get the twins registered tomorrow at 11 in the morning.
I managed to get some things done as the twins slept for a while and shortly after they bought him back I got the twins ready to take up to the clinic to get weighed. I also called in at the local charity shop and got new frames for my collages and material to make them. I also managed to call in at the bank on the way.
When I got to the clinic I also got Elbereth’s nappy rash looked at. The health visitor told me that it was thrush and gave me some cream for it. When she checked Malach she said that it looked like he had the same as well so she prescribed him some cream as well. They were both weighed and I was so pleased with how they are doing. Elbereth has gone from 2.58KG (5.11lb) to 3.44KG (7.7lb) and Malach went from 3KG (6.6lb) to3.9KG (8.91/2lb) The last time they were weighed was on the 30th January. I think they have done wonderfully. Elbereth is now back on the 25th centile. This was what she was on when she was born.
On the way back home I decided to call in and see a friend. I did not stay long as I was already running late but I have arranged to go again on Friday morning..
When I got home Devil boy phoned his grandma to wish her a happy birthday. I spoke to her as well to say the same and then accidentally got Devil boy into trouble. He had not told his mum that we had changed the arrangements about getting the twins registered and did not know this so I mentioned about getting them registered tomorrow. Opps LOL.
The twins had a good feed and I sorted out the washing and shortly after Devil boy put Wolfie to bed.
I have spent most of the night feeding Elbereth and watching police squad. It was such a shame that the show was cancelled after only 6 shows. Malach has slept quite well so I am imagining that tonight it will be him that is unsettled and will have to join me. But we will see how it goes. I need to make sure that I get an early night as Devil boy is really feeling tired and needing a good night’s sleep.

Never ending jobs
The night shift started a lot later that I wanted to. I managed to get into bed at 2am. Malach had still not settled so I put him alongside me and me fell asleep nicely.
I needed to feed them at about 6.30 after I had gone to take Wolfie through to Devil boy. I then was able to get another good sleep (with a really strange dream in which I was Frodo from Lord of the rings and I was on the run form the Ring-wraiths. It was also strange because I ended up at the town that I grew up in and there was Aunt Petunia from the Harry Potter books)
I got up late which while I needed the sleep I really do not like getting up late so I am going to make sure that I go to bed earlier so that I will be able to get up earlier. Though I will have to get up earlier tomorrow as we are going to get the twins registered. We should have got them registered a while ago but we have not got around to doing it yet.
When I got up I had some breakfast and then took Wolfie through to try and get him off for a nap. I was also happy to see that the Star Wars book tat I ordered recently has arrived. I am building up a nice collection of Star Wars books now. While I was changing the twins I noticed that Malach had got a little nappy rash. I put some cream on I but when I changed Elbereth her rash was a lot worse. The rash looked really nasty. It had white bits and was bleeding. Thankfully there is a baby clinic on tomorrow so I will make sure we get back from registering them quickly and take them up to the clinic to not only get weighed but so the health visitors can have a look at the rash.
Unfortunately Wolfie did not mange to get off for a nap. He was not in too much of a grumpy mood though as at least my attempt at getting him off for a nap has meant that he has lay down for a bit.
The afternoon went well and while the twins took naps I was able to spend time with Wolfie. He has again been funky. I am kind of feeling like at the moment the jobs are never ending. I looked around and there are clothes that need to be put away, nappies that need to be sorted out, clothes that need to be taken out of the washing machine, two tops that need to be cut up for wipes to use with the twins. Then of course Wolfie needs to be kept happy. Thankfully Devil boy is changing him most of the time. Though I am still not getting off that job as the twins need to be changed, fed and winded. LOL I know it will not be like this for long but it certainly is very busy at the moment. LOL when I get a spare moment I am a little lost at what to do with the time. Though I would not have it any other way. I am feeling the happiest that I have felt in a long time and while I still have my moments they are a lot easier to deal with than before and they are a lot less frequent.
I am very pleased with myself though as I have now learned a little Gaelic. I have only managed to look at the language website a few times in the last week but I have managed to learn this ‘Ciamar a tha sibh?’ which means How are you? (This is the formal version. For the informal version you say thu instead of sibh) it is not a lot but it is a start which is funky. I have even been saying little bits to Wolfie as well when I have had the chance. He looked at me a little strangely though.
Wolfie settled off to sleep nicely again tonight and when I got back from going out to get Soya milk I managed to cut up one of the tops into wipes to use with the twins and then the rest of the time I have spent the rest of the time changing, feeding and winding the twins. I have managed to get some competitions filled out while feeding them though, which is good. I am still hoping that my ship will come in one day.
The things that I have got to do before I start the night shift is to sort out the nappies, sort out the clothes that came off the radiators and put the next batch of clothes out. I am hoping that I can get all of that done and still get to bed earlier than last night (I have my fingers crossed)

A funky day
The night shift went the same as usual. I went through to the back room earlier than normal but I was hoping to be able to settle the both of them in their baskets.
It did not work out that way though. I managed to get Elbereth settled in her basket but I eventually gave up with Malach at around 1.30 as I was ready to get some sleep.
Once they had settled they slept well for a few hours and at around six they both woke again and took a while to settle but I was able to get a good sleep after that.
The morning went well and as Wolfie had got up early I managed to get him off for a nap.
I spent most of the afternoon either feeding changing and winding the twins and when I was not with the twins I spent time with Wolfie. I had a really nice time drawing with him. I was writing out numbers and he tried to copy me in his own way. He holds the crayon really nicely but he is mostly happy just to scribble lines but he is getting there.
The afternoon went really well and the twins slept for a few hours so I was able to tidy up while Devil boy put Wolfie to bed and had a bath.
Elbereth woke up and I changed and fed her but she was happy to sit in a little baby bouncer and watch me putting the nappies into the machine.
It though has been a busy evening. It has been a non-stop round of feeding, winding, changing and then changing again. Some nights it is non stop nappy changing. There was also a very amusing programme listing the best comedy moments on the TV so I have not got a lot done tonight well apart from feeding, changing etc LOL I am even late posting my blog.
The programme has still not finished yet so I will have to run around like a loon getting ready again for tonight’s night shift.

Managing to get up to date (well getting there)
The night shift did not go too badly. Elbereth is really good at settling in her basket at night but Malach again needed to come into bed with me from the beginning.
I managed to get a good sleep though and Wolfie had another funky night’s rest and woke up at 6.30 again.
I defiantly need to make sure that I am getting more iron into my system though as even though I got a good sleep I felt very dazed when I woke up and it took a while before I did not feel dazed. I am also looking pale so I ate some broccoli and bran flakes this morning. I am also keeping tea to the minimum as even though it is decaffeinated hot drink also stop the absorption of iron into the system.
Devil boy took Wolfie over to his grandmas in the late morning and I fed and changed the twins and put their pillows in for a wash (I feed them on a pillow and then when I move them into their basket I just move the pillow with them on into the basket) They managed to get good feeds before I got them ready to take them out.
By the time I had got over there though Devil boy had already left with Wolfie and his daughter. I had decided to put Malach in the pink snowsuit and Elbereth in the blue suit for a laugh. Devil boys noticed after a while though and she thought that it was amusing.
I had a nice afternoon over at his grandma’s house. I chatted to his grandma and his mum and the twins slept all the time while I was there.
When I got back Devil boy was making the dinner and thankfully the twins still stayed sleeping while I ate my dinner and watched the rugby. I have to admit that I thought it was funky that Scotland won (LOL though my mum would not be impressed to hear me saying that)
Wolfie and Devil boys daughter were running about like loons and the twins woke up and took good feeds before having a little break before waking again to stock up for the nights shift.
I have managed also to almost get up to date with my competitions again. All I need to do now to get up to date is fill out both of the magazine competitions by tomorrow night ready to send off and I will be up to date. I will try to but I will not be too bothered if I do not manage it. I have also managed to reply to a few more messages to my friends and catch up a little.
I will be taking them thorough earlier because Devil boy’s daughter will be staying. Mum said she was going to call but whether she will remember is another thing.

A very productive day and some news about dad
The night shift did not start off too well. Wolfie did not wake tonight but unfortunately Malach would not settle off at first. I eventually brought him into bed with me at 2am, as he did not seem for settling off. Elbereth settled off at bout 1am but not him.
He had a good feed and then he settled off nicely. He slept well then and they both woke up at around 6am for a feed. Wolfie woke up at around 6.30 so I am hoping that his sleeping patter is getting funky again.
I got up at around 10.30 and when I went though to the living room both Wolfie and Devil boy were in bed watching cartoons. It was quite cute to see. Wolfie looks cute as he sits in bed properly.
I managed to get a wash load in and then I got some breakfast and then dealt with the twins. I am really enjoying eating porridge for breakfast and Wolfie shared quite a bit of mine. I must admit that I am really happy that he still loves eating porridge as I think that is the best breakfast for him.
I was planning to take Wolfie and the twins up to Kevin’s Grandmas when we got a phone call from Devil boys mum. She was in the area and she wanted to drop off some clothes that Devil boy’s dad’s sister had passed on to us. They called in and dropped off the clothes (very funky as well) and they took Wolfie up the road with them to his grandmas.
I was just about to get the twins ready to take them up when Devil boys mum phoned to say that they were taking Wolfie out with them. I started then working on clearing the back room, as the twin’s were asleep at that point. I wanted to sort the twin’s clothes out as they are in such a mess at the moment. They are just scattered about the place and I wanted to organise them so they were easy to find and the outfits were all in one place. I managed to get that mostly done as devil boys mum had called to say that as they had set out later they would bring him back home.
The twins were really good while they were out which meant that I was able to get lots done. When they got back they told me that Wolfie had been fed his dinner and that while they walked around the shops he was really well behaved. He held Devil boys mums hand while she walked sown the street and was really well behaved in the shops. Bless Wolfie though he cried when Devil boys mum and dad left. That is the first time he has done that.
He settled off to sleep really well and while Devil boy went to his friend’s house I phoned up my friend. It was really funky chatting to her and I chatted to her for ages. I am really looking forward to seeing her again at some point.
After I had spoken to my friend I phoned up my mum to see how dad was getting on. I have not heard from her in a while. I spoke to her for ages. Dad is still unfortunately in hospital and he is very down that he is not making a quick enough recovery to go home. Mum is not happy about the standard of his aftercare. She told me that while she knew that the hospital did not have good reports but she hoped that they heart department would be good. She was telling me that she had to complain to get the light bulb replaced in the toilet on his ward. Mum told me that she had not wanted to phone me and worry me as I already have a lot to worry about. I told her that she must phone me up as I think she is trying to do to much and she is bottling up things which is not good for her. She was glad that I called and she said that she would call tomorrow. She was telling me that dad is very depressed in the hospital and beginning to regret getting the operation done. Hopefully he will recover enough to go home soon as I am sure that once he is home he will make a quicker recovery and begin to feel much better. I hope that mum will phone more often to let off steam. I can still managed to feed and wind the twins while chatting to her on the phone and it is good for her to have someone to offload her worries onto as she can not say them to dad as he is feeling down enough. It will also help mum to look after dad. I will also phone mum up more often just to make sure that she does chat about it as well.
Though because I was on the phone so much I was only able to reply to a couple of the messages that my friends sent me. I will have to try and catch up tomorrow instead as I am getting tired now and I need to get ready for the night shift.

Another hectic yet funky day
The night shift went really well again. Wolfie woke again at around 11.30. Though I think that Devil boy shouting due to playing a computer game did not help. He settled of nicely the first time though. I did give him some Calpol though as I noticed that his cheeks were red earlier so I think he is teething again. The twins though settled off by about 1 and I quickly got ready for bed and took them though.
Malach woke up a couple of hours later but he settled quickly next to me. Elbereth though slept until 6am. I am hoping that they are now beginning to get a nice routine. I am also going to try and make sure that if Malach wakes during the night like last night I will get him to settle in his basket instead of next to me.
My clock was slow this morning so I got up a little later than I wanted. I managed to have my breakfast and get then twins ready for Homestart when they arrived.
I was looking at Wolfie in the minibus though as I was going to the group. It suddenly struck me how much he is looking like a little boy rather than a baby he is. His hair is growing really nicely and is getting a lot thicker and longer. His hoar has lovely curls in it and he looks so cute. His face is developing really nicely though but I had not noticed how much he no longer looked like a baby. I know he is not a baby anymore but now I can see it. Even with the tantrums he is such a funky little boy and I love all of the silly things and watching him learn (especially when he is at Devil boys grandmas when he copies what his grandma does while giggling)
The group went really well. I spent a while feeding Elbereth but thankfully for a while my friend sat with her on her lap and winded her and then another woman who works at the group took her away to show the other women that work there. I mad e the most of my time to relax and I sat and while I only managed to complete a few competition this week as I could not be bothered to I just had a nice time chatting. I forgot to weigh myself today so I am not sure how my plan to lose weight it going. I will try and remember next week.
I also managed to have a chat with my friend at the end of the group. She had noticed that I was looking pale and down. While I am not feeling down today I have had my moments lately. I think it is only to be expected that I would be feeling down and I was warned to expect it but the fact that I am pale is making me think that I am becoming anaemic again. I know that feeding the twins are taking it out me by feeding them so I have to make sure that I try and eat as healthily as possible. I am also going to try and get up to visit her next week during the week. She is giving me one of her high chairs that she no longer uses. That will be good for either Wolfie or the twins when they are ready for it.
When I got back though I have had plenty to keep me busy. I firstly needed to go out ho the shops to get more Soya milk and a few other things. When I got back I needed to wash the nappies and then clear the clothes off the floor that Wolfie had scattered.
I then needed to change and feed the twins, get dinner, clean Wolfies toys up while Devil boy put him to bed.
The rest of the night has been a continual round of feeding, changing, winding, changing (and messed outfits) as I am hoping that as I have been so busy I will get a reasonable sleep tonight during the night shift. Though even though I have been busy all evening I would not have it any other way. I never thought I would say that but I am so happy to have twins as well as a very funky toddler. I think it sounds wonderful to say that I am a mother of three children and I am really looking forward to teaching them many things in the future and watch them develop their own personalities.
Malach woke up a couple of hours later but he settled quickly next to me. Elbereth though slept until 6am. I am hoping that they are now beginning to get a nice routine. I am also going to try and make sure that if Malach wakes during the night like last night I will get him to settle in his basket instead of next to me.

Non stop mad, hectic but funky day
The night shift seemed to start out badly. The twins thankfully settled nicely but as I was getting ready to go to bed we noticed that Wolfie had woken up. I decided that as I was still not too tired I would try and settle him in his cot.
I went though to him and gave him some Calpol and I cuddled him and left him for about ten minutes. When I went back through I cuddled him a few more times and left him again. I noticed that as I left the room he was a lot more settled. Thankfully he settled back off to sleep that time. I was really happy that he had settled off that time, as it is better that he settle in his own bed.
The twins also slept in their baskets for a while. Malach was the first to wake but Elbereth slept until 6am, which is really funky. Wolfie woke up at 6.30, which was really good for him and at 7.30 I the postman knocked on the door with a parcel for me.
I got up later in the morning and I opened my parcel while I was eating my breakfast. It was a lovely present for the twins from one of my friends. She had tie dyed some suits for the twins as well as for Wolfie. They were really funky. I thought she had bought them like that until I read her card. They have been really well done.
The rest of the day went well but really hectic. I feel like I have barely had a break since I got up. Even though Devil boy took Wolfie to his grandmas in the morning I was non-stop feeding, changing and winding the twins. As soon as I had settled one the other would start. It carried on like that until mid afternoon when they napped for a bit and I then made Wolfie some dinner.
But the round of dealing with the twins started again. I have managed to read a bit of the Star Wars book that I had been reading at night. I am really enjoying it and the plot is really beginning to develop nicely. I had a look online to see if it was still available to buy and I managed to get a really good bargain on a copy of it. I know I will want to read the book again when I get the chance.
I have also been looking on the Internet about Buddhism. I am seriously thinking of becoming a Buddhist. I have been thinking about it for a while. I am not really sure why but I feel drawn towards it. I think it is really funky and really interesting.
The Tesco order arrived later in the evening and I managed to get the shopping away before the twins became disrupted again. Then followed the next round of feeding and winding. I am about to go and change their nappies before I feed, wind them and hope to get them settled before the night shift. I hope they will settle soon as I am beginning to feel really tired now. I was going to fill out competitions tonight but I cannot find the magazines. I am worried that Wolfie has run off with them and shredded them. I will make a star t on the ones that need to be sent off next Monday instead. Though that can wait until tomorrow LOL.
Here are some new phots of Wolfie, Elbereth and Malach :D

I am feeling much happier today.
I managed to find my mobile phone so I was able to text off my competitions before the deadline. The rest of the night shift did not really go that well unfortunately.
I managed to get Elbereth settled in her basket but unfortunately Malach did not settle and at around 2.30 I was too tired to carry on so I put him alongside me.
Wolfie woke up at 5am and I needed to feed the twins again. I still managed to get a good sleep though and while I got up a little later that I hoped I did not feel too bad about it. I thankfully then felt a lot better than I did yesterday and while Devil boy went to his grandma’s house I changed and fed the twins while trying to get Wolfie off for a nap.
I was not able to get Wolfie off for a nap today but he seemed happy to have had a lie down while I read to him.
I was due to take the twins out to a baby massage group and then to get weighed but it seemed a shame to wake them up after it took me so long to get them settled in the first place and secondly I could not be bothered to. I will get them weighed next week. I can see that they are getting on funkily.
The afternoon went well. I managed to get the nappies washed and as the weather was nice I managed to put the new washing line on the poles and get the nappies hung out to hopefully dry. I checked the weather on the Internet and the weather should also be funky tomorrow as well. That is the best thing about the spring and the summer. I have also made a good start in my plan to save up for a car this year. I have decided that, as I will not be able to travel easily on the train with Wolfie, Elbereth and Malach that it would be a good idea to get a car so I can visit my friend, brother and my mum and dad. The only car that I can drive without having to take my car test is a Robin Reliant so I am going to save up to get one of these. Hopefully I will be able to get one by the end of the year.
I had a lovely afternoon with Wolfie. I played a lot with him. I swung him about and chased him and tickled him. I am going to ask one of my friends whose daughter goes to gymnastics if she knows anywhere that Wolfie can go to. He loves things like that and he is so agile so I think something like gymnastics would be really good for him.
Devil boy was not unfortunately feeling well at the end of the afternoon but he was able to bathe him and put Wolfie to bed. Wolfie is settling off to sleep really nicely. Devil boy has found that if he does not read to him for too long he settles really nicely. I get to read to him during the day so it works out nicely.
I have managed to get work done on the kitchen tonight clearing out the recycle corner. There has been thankfully a plastic bottle recycle facility near us, which is really good. I have sorted out the bottles and paper to be recycled tonight.
I have decided that tonight I am going to see what competitions I can get filled and when I feed the twins I am going to read my Star Wars book instead of browsing the Internet. I love reading at the moment so it will be good to make the most of the times that I do get to read.
I have also decided that I will take them through to the back room earlier so that Devil boy can also get an early night as he is not feeling too well.
I am glad that the way that I was feeling yesterday has passed by me. I have been working a lot on trying to make myself feel better and I seem to be finally winning the battle. I just need to work on my short temper as well but I am feeling very optimistic about the future. I am also looking forward to trying to get my hoe projects working and planning toward m moving to the north.

Feeling down
The night shift went rather well. I had to get up a few times during the night but thankfully they settled well.
It is the mornings that I am having the problems. I am really struggling to get up in the morning and it is now beginning to get me down. I really do not like getting up late. I think that that was the reason why I was feeling down this morning.
I managed to get Wolfie off for a nap in the morning and after I sorted the twins out I managed to get some things done.
Devil boy was wonderful as well and made a really good job of tidying the kitchen up. There is still a bit left to do but I am sure we will be able to get it done.
After Wolfie got up I had to rush out and up to the local school to see if I can apply for Wolfie to go to nursery. I was told though that the procedure has changed and I do not need to apply until the end of the year.
The rest of the day has passed rather uneventfully and Wolfie settled off to sleep really nicely. Hopefully he will sleep well tonight. OI am not really sure why he wakes up at such varying times during the night.
I have spent most of the night feeding and changing the twins. I have also managed to get some of the competitions filled out. Unfortunately when I went to use Devil boys phone to send them off there was not enough credit in the phone so I have not been able to send them off. Well unless I find my phone in the next half an hour.
The rest of the night has not gone too well. Devil boy and I have fell out and he has managed to break part of his desk. I am really annoyed about this, as we have not had the desk for a year.
Hopefully the rest of the night will go better.

I have had a good day with Wolfie
The night shift went well. Elbereth settled nicely and while I needed to bring Malach into bed with me he too settled nicely. He might have settled well but I went to bed earlier than usual.
Unfortunately Wolfie woke up a lot earlier than usual so I think from tomorrow night I am going to see what I can do about getting him to sleep until later. When I took him through Elbereth woke up and needed to be fed and winded. I then needed to sort out Malach as well and it was over an hour and a half before I could get back to sleep.
I managed to get a good sleep still and I managed to get up at 10 am. I think that it is a better time. I get a good sleep but I am not getting up too late.
I managed to change the twins, feed them and get Wolfie off for a nap after I managed to get a bowl of porridge for my breakfast. I am glad that I am managing to get him off for a nap every day. He is much happier for it during the day and he is on longer so crabby when it gets closer to his bedtime.
He also managed to eat a good lunch when he got up, which is something that he has not been doing recently.
Devil boy went off to the football during the afternoon and I had a lovely afternoon with Wolfie. Thankfully the twins slept while Devil boy was away so I was able to spend my time with him. I was really happy with myself, as I did not snap at him once.
I managed to sort out the nappies as well s sorting out our clothes in our wardrobe. They were in a shocking state. It was really cute when I was sorting out the nappies though. I was putting them into a pile when Wolfie decided that he would carry through the nappies from the to-fold pile. He just looked so sweet carrying armfuls of nappies through to his room. Bless him he was trying to put them on the radiator.
I am so glad that I have been able to spend some time with him today after what happened yesterday. I also got lots of cuddles and kisses form him as well, which was lovely.
He also managed to eat a good dinner so I am hoping that because he has eaten well he will sleep well tonight. We will see what happens and then work from there.
Once he had gone to bed I had a lovely soak in the bath and I feel so much better for it.
I have spent the rest of the night feeding, changing and winding the twins while browsing the Internet. I have managed to get Malach to settle I just need to work on Elbereth Now.
I have managed to also send off the competitions for the magazine. I have managed to fall behind again so I will have to work on getting up to date. LOL I just cannot be bothered tonight.

Wolfie does not seem to be interested in me at the moment
The shift started off quite well. They were beginning to settle nicely but as soon as I tho8ught they had settled one would wake up.
I went though to the back room a little later than I wanted to and while Elbereth settled nicely in her basket Malach did not. I ended up with him in bed with me. I just felt tired. Thankfully he settled of nicely and I managed to get a good sleep before I needed to get up for Wolfie.
I had another long sleep but I got up later than I wanted. I know I need the sleep but I do not like getting up late.
Devil boy took Wolfie out to his grandmas shortly after I got up which gave me time to get the nappies washed and get the twins ready. By the time he got back Wolfie was very tired and I managed to get him off for a nap. He did not have a long nap but at least he managed to get a nap.
I am feeling a little down today though because Devil boy has been spending so much time with Wolfie that he is not coming to me for comfort at all. He does not seem interested in me at all. I know it is just because I do not have much time to be with him but I do not like it. I must make more time to spend with him.
Devil boy was also mentioning trying to get Wolfie to sleep for longer in his cot. He has been waking a little too early recently. While he does settle of to sleep really nicely and self settle he mostly wakes up early (He will have good night but not too many)
Devil boy’s daughter is over for today and stopping the night. Thankfully it as gone well and there has not been too much screaming. She and Wolfie have run about like loons but thankfully not too noisily.
I know it is still early days but I ma getting a little frustrated how unorganised the flat is at the moment. Clothes seem to be scattered all over the place and in no particular order. The clothes in our wardrobe are a mess and it seems that as soon as I get some of them sorted out they get cluttered up even faster and more so. It feels like a never ending job (LOL and a lot less interesting than the never ending story) I know that I will not be able to get much tonight as well unfortunately.
Wolfie settled off to sleep funkily first time and I managed to get out to the shop to get some things. I have decided that I am going to start eating porridge for my breakfast.
When I got back from the shop both of them were crying. I was about to change them when mum called to update me about dad. He is getting a few pains but he is still making a good recovery.
I have changed the twins and I am in the process of feeding them ready for the night shift. The night shift will start a little earlier because of Devil boy’s daughter being over. I am hoping that I will be able to get to bed earlier tonight so I will be able to get up earlier tomorrow and spend some time with Wolfie as well as cleaning up.

Trying to get things organised
The night shift started off the same as usual. I have noticed that the twins are at their most unsettled before bedtime (they are getting into a routine of sleeping for some time at night I think)
Elbereth though seemed to be very unsettled and it was about 2.30 before I managed to get her settled in her basket. I was just about to get off to sleep myself when Malach woke up. I just decided to pu him in be with me as I was exhausted by then. The good thing is that I managed to read quite a bit of the Star Wars book that I am reading. I am really enjoying it.
Malach settled nicely though and Elbereth slept though until 7am when Wolfie woke up so pretty much a good night for us all.
For some reason I was really tired and I slept until 11. I had planned to get up at 10 but I could not get up for then.
I managed to get Wolfie off for a nap and see to the twins nicely enough. Unfortunately though I did not manage to get out of the house in time. I had hoped to get out with the twins between 1 and 2 but it was nearly 2.30 when I left.
I went up to book an appointment to get the twins registered but when I got up to the office I was told that they no longer do that and I have to go to the next town to get it done. Thankfully we do not have to make an appointment but I would like to make sure that the certificates are handwritten like Wolfies was (It looks so funky)
I then went up to the school that I would like Wolfie to go to. Unfortunately I got there a bit too late so I will have to go again on Monday. I thought I was in the catchment area for the school but I am not. I am hoping that I will be able to get him to go there as I think it is a nicer school than the one he is supposed to be going to. We will see what happens on Monday.
After that I called in to see Devil boy’s grandma. She is lovely. We sat and chatted for ages about this and that before I went home. I always try to call in to see her when I am out and about as I do not get the chance to visit otherwise.
The twins remained settled for a while after I got home. Was chatting to a friend on the phone when Elbereth woke up but I managed to feed her while I was chatting on the phone. It was funky chatting to her as I have not spoken to her for a while.
Wolfie settled off funkily tonight and Devil boy has gone around to his friend’s house. He left a tin of lager for me to drink. I do not think I will drink another tin of lager for a while. It has gone right to my head and I am not enjoying this feeling. I cannot believe that I used to go out and get blitzed. I think it is rather funky how life can change and the many funky directions life can go in. Though after tonight I can see myself becoming a very occasional drinker and maybe even teetotal.
I have managed to get some cleaning up done in the kitchen when the twins have been settled (they have been good so far tonight) but I will leave cleaning the floor until tomorrow. The only thing that I have left to do is to see to the twins as and when I need and hopefully get them settled in their baskets tonight ready for the night shift.

Another busy day
When I took the twins through I managed to get them settled quite quickly before I managed to get some sleep.
I needed to get up at around 4.30 to take Wolfie through to Devil boy and I also needed to feed Elbereth.
I managed to get up at 10.30 and I got the twins ready. Wolfie got up a little later than usual so I decided that I would not bother trying to put him off for a nap as Homestart were coming to pick us up and by the time I will have got him off for a nap he would not have had much of a nap.
I managed to get a wash load done and get the twins ready for when the minibus came to take us to homestart. I also managed to do it without getting into a flap.
Homestart went well. Wolfie really likes going there now. The girl who picks us ups daughter bought some stuff in that she no longer fitted in (I picked a realy funky pair of jean that I hope to fit in once I have lost the pregnancy weight) I also got a bag that she does not want. It was a present to her and has never been used.
When I got back form the group Devil boy had gone out to his grandmas and then to his brothers. It went quite well. I snapped at Wolfie a couple of times though, which I felt bad about. Thankfully after that it went really funky.
I made some dinner for us and I dealt with the twins as and when I needed to.
Devil boy got back in time to give him a bath and put him to bed. He settled of to sleep first time and hopefully he will get a funky night’s rest.
I then needed to go out to the shops as I had nearly run out of Soya milk. I managed to get it done while the twins slept. LOL though within 5 minutes of getting in Elbereth needed changing and fed. It will be Malachs turn soon.
Recently I have decided that I am going to stop swaddling the twins. I swaddled Wolfie for a bit to long. They seem to be getting along nicely with not being swaddled. I am also getting along nicely without growbags as well. I might need to get them when they are more active but so far it is going well.
I have just decided that I should have a relaxing night for the rest of the night and deal with the twins as and when needed.
LOL it might be Malachs turn but it is Elbereth that has woke up and has decided to have a n unsettled night tonight. I am hopeful that I can get her settled before 3am though. I will read to them when I take them through though (I am enjoying reading the book anyway)

A challenging night shift
The night did not go to well. Both of the twins were very unsettled and I spent most of the night dealing with them. I had planned on getting things sorted once Wolfie had gone to bed but that did not work out.
I took them through in the end and I managed to get Elbereth settled at around 2am.
I could not get Malach to settle though. He would fall asleep and then when I put him in his basket he would wake up. In the end at gone three I put him in bed with me, as I was shattered.
I managed to get a good sleep and I fed them both in the morning and got up a bit later than I would have normally done but I needed the rest. I have to admit that I am very grateful that Devil boy does not work at the moment as it means that he can look after Wolfie in the morning which means that I can get the much needed sleep.
The rest of the morning (what was left of it anyway) went well. I managed to get Wolfie to take a nap again and I dealt with getting the twins ready. They then needed a bit of feeding but thankfully by the time Devil boy’s daughter cam around they had both settled off.
When his daughter was around I decided that I would get all of the job’s that I wanted to get done last night done now. I thought that it was going to be more than likely that I would not get a chance during the night.
I managed to get a few things done but unfortunately when I left the twins room one of the times the door mechanism broke which then meant that I could not get back in.
I tried several times and Devil boy tried for a while to get in before he had to break the door in the end to get in. By that point I was just happy to get in the room.
The afternoon went quite well. It was the usual Wednesday chaos involving Wolfie and Devil boy’s daughter running about like loons. Thankfully when they scream now it is mostly in Wolfies bedroom so that does not hurt my ears so much.
Wolfie has been good today. I am hoping to be able to spend more time with Wolfie during the day when the twins sleep as he has been spending so much time with Devil boy he is getting rather upset when he goes out, to the toilet etc. It will also be nice just to spend quality time with him.
As I thought would happen earlier on I have spent most of the evening feeding, changing the twins etc. I am dealing with Elbereth while I type this. Though it seems to be going better tonight than it did last night (not so many nappy changes as well so far) I am hoping that the night shift will go better. I have to be up at a certain time tomorrow so I have my fingers crossed for how well tonight goes. Malach is crying again as I type this but he has periods of silence. He has been fed, winded etc so I think he is just in the process of settling off to sleep.

It’s Valentines Day (And my dads birthday)
After the eventful evening the night shift went by thankfully without drama. They settled well in their baskets and even though I needed to feed Malach he settled quickly and back in his basket.
They slept for some time and I managed to get some good sleep.
I managed to get up at not to long after 10. I think that is a good time to get up. It is enough time to get a good sleep but not too late so I feel bad.
Devil boy managed to find out what had happened with th3 e neighbours. It was not the flat next to us but the top flat above them. His girlfriend had left him and he had wrecked the place. The window was smashed and there was glass all over the floor. There was a saw and a baseball cap in our front garden along with glass.
Devil boy had to go out in the morning. I managed to get Wolfie to take a nap this morning. The rest of the time I was busy changing, feeding and winding the twins. Thankfully I am able to browse the Internet whole I am feeding them. I got a lovely message from one of my Internet friends, which really made my day.
Wolfie got up as I was dealing with the twins and he was not in a good mood at all even though he had managed to get a good nap. He was crying for a long time and it took a while before he settled. He did not eat much of his lunch.
Devil boy came back with a valentines present and card for me. The card was funky and he got me dirty dancing on DVD. I really love that film. It is really funky and Patrick Swayze is so dishy in the film. I would love to learn how to dance at some point. I think I would like to learn how to swing dance as well as jive dance.
In the afternoon I managed to get out with the twins to the bank and get some fruit and vegetables. I also managed to get a valentines card for Devil boy. It was the last one in the shop and I was lucky to get that as it was in a place that it should not have been. It was unfortunately a husband valentine card but I managed to scribble out the husband and still use it, LOL. It made Devil boy laugh as well. I also got him a fake flower to put by his computer. I thought it would be cute for a change.
I managed to get the nappies washed today. I did not leave it as long this time so that while it was a full wash it was not as packed as last time. I am really glad at how well it is going with having all three in cloth nappies.
Wolfie went to bed a bit later this evening and he did not settle well unfortunately. I read to him but after I read to him I just cuddled him and after the second cuddle he settled off to sleep. I hope he still get a good nights rest. Apart from being woken by the neighbours he slept well after that.
Most of the night has been spent feeding changing, winding, feeding and changing again. They are beginning to settle again so I will run about getting ready for bed. I have cleared the food order away that arrived earlier (Praise be for being able to order on the internet and home deliveries)
While I was feeding the twins I started to look though one of the Gaelic language sites. I managed to say a couple of the things. The website has sound files which really helps with the pronunciations. I managed to say ‘How are you?’ To Devil boy when he walked in through the door. I am not expecting to do much but I will just do what I can when I can. It would be really funky to learn Gaelic. When I have learned that I am planning to learn German.
I am really looking forward to seeing Dirty dancing tonight as well as reading a bit more of the Star Wars book (I think I will have to order that when I make my next Star Wars book order)

A very eventful day and night
The night shift went well last night. Unfortunately though I really struggled to get to sleep. I was aching a little but even though I was tired I was also seemingly wide-awake.
The twins woke several times during the night but then were quick to settle.
Wolfie also managed to get a really good night’s sleep as well and woke up later than usual this morning. I am hoping that because he is now getting a nap during the day he is sleeping better at night.
I slept a little later that I wanted to which got me into a little flap. I wanted to get up a little earlier so that I could get Wolfie off for a nap before the health visitor cam around and I went to the group in the afternoon. I got a really funky parcel fro a friend of mine on the Internet. She sent some really nice clothes for Malach to wear when he has grown a little.
The heath visitor came early as I was getting Malach ready but thankfully she could not manage to bring the scales with her. This worked out for the better. Devil boy took over getting Wolfie off for a nap and I then chatted with the health visitor. She told me how well she thought I was getting on. That was really funky other to say that. I think that I am only managing to do so well because I have been getting so much help form Devil boy.
I got into another flap though as I was getting ready. I was on time for getting out when Elbereth made a big mess which required a big clean up. I was late then getting out and rather late for the group. Wolfie though was so worn out from his walk that he happily sat on my knee while I sang nursery rhymes to him. The rest of the group went really well. Unfortunately during singing one of the rhymes I needed to stand up and as I went to kneel down I must have positioned y knee awkwardly so I really hurt it. It is swollen now and still hurts
Wolfie took a visit to paddisville on the way to visiting Devil boys grandmas house. Thankfully she lives close to the centre and he was able to get some food there. Devil boys mum is in the area for a fortnight. She is planning on moving back to the area so she is house hunting.
When I got back Devil boys new computer bits had arrived along with my new speakers. They are very funky but it now means that I now need a new sound card. I unfortunately was very much on edge and very critical of myself. I have not done this for a long time but I was calling myself names as soon as I did anything slightly wrong. I thought that it was ironic after what the health visitor said to me this morning. I am sure that I will be all right again. I have been working on overcoming my depression for some time now and while I am managing to make really good progress I have dips from time to time.
Wolfie managed to settle off to sleep nicely tonight and I then was able to have a lovely soak in the bath.
The night went well. Dad managed to call me from the hospital. It was wonderful to talk to him; I was not expecting it so it was a really funky surprise. I managed to say happy birthday to him. Bless him he was really emotional at the end of the phone call. He has been getting down, as while the surgery was brilliant his aftercare has not been so good. He has had a few problems but mum has managed to get something sorted out about it.
I then called mum afterward to ask her about something that I am planning to get dad for his birthday. I am also planning to send off the puzzle books that I got for him tomorrow along with a DVD that I got for mum.
The twins have been very unsettled tonight. I have now managed to get Malach settled but Elbereth is still awake. While I was talking to mum Wolfie also woke up. Devil boy went through to see to him and after I stopped speaking to mum we found out what had disturbed Wolfie.
There was a big noise from next door. At first we thought that they were doing some home improvements and we were not too happy as it was lat. As things progresses we realised it sounded like demolition rather than improvement. It was a huge noise and there was lots of smashing noises going on and crashing. I was quite scared but thankfully there has been quiet for sometime and the police are around now. I do not know what has happened but I dread to think what their place looks like now. Thankfully their children did not sound like they were in.
Devil boy thinks he has managed to get his computer working funkily now. He has had a very challenging afternoon with it but he has done a really funky job of getting it to work. I have also managed to find some websites where I can learn Gaelic. I would love for Wolfie, Malach and Elbereth to learn Gaelic so I also thought hat to help them I should learn it as well. It will be a while before I can go to college so I thought I could make a start now.
I am hopeful that this incident has passed now and that out nightshift goes well. Thankfully Wolfie has settled back to sleep, the poor wee poppet.
The twins woke several times during the night but then were quick to settle.

Alone with all three for a few hours today
The night went quite well. I took them through earlier than usual as Devil boys daughter was stopping over.
They settled nicely after I took them through and I decided that I would go to sleep rather than sort out the room and make the most of resting my back. They woke up several times during the night but they thankfully settled off nicely. One of the times that I woke up though I struggled to get back off to sleep. It took over an hour and a half to get back to sleep.
His daughter went back home in the morning and Devil boy went over to his friend’s house to watch the football. My fun started then.
I firstly started off by trying to get Wolfie to nap, when I got back through I had to change Elbereth and feed her. I then went to read to Wolfie and when I got back though I sorted out some washing and cleaned up Wolfies toys.
I managed to get Wolfie to take a nap and when I got back through I needed to feed Malach. Thankfully though I am able to browse the Internet while I feed them as soon as I went into the kitchen to make soup I heard Wolfie crying as he had woke from his nap. He was really grumpy and upset. He cried for a while and it took a lot to calm him down. Elbereth was crying a lot as well but I had to leave her while I sorted out dinner and Wolfie.
He ate his soup though and once I had fed myself I fed Elbereth. Devil boy then cam in after that. I was pleased with how well I managed as not at one point did I get into a flap even though there was so much screaming so I gave myself a big pat on the back for that.
I managed to clean up a little in the kitchen today. There is one shelving area which really needs cleaned. I will finish it off tomorrow though.
I went out with the twins to the shop. It was quite a walk. I am trying to make sure that I get out as much as possible to help burn off my pregnancy weight. Unfortunately I ate a few too many biscuits when I had got home so I have undone the benefit of getting out. Ah well back on track tomorrow.
I managed to get to read to Wolfie tonight as he did not settle off to sleep strait away and I just decided to rest tonight and watch the first series of Red Dwarf.
The twins have settled now and I am going to take them through into the back room soon. I am ready to strait clearing up ready for the night shift.

A very busy day
Did not go so well for Devil boy. For some reason Wolfie woke up and would not settle again so Devil boy took him though with him. He managed to get a good sleep though thankfully.
Elbereth would not settle last night so I just pit her alongside me as I was really beginning to feel tired. I managed to get a good sleep in the end but the twins were quite unsettled this morning. I unfortunately got up later than I wanted to though. I have decided that I am going to take a clock into the bedroom with me so I can keep a check on then time from tomorrow. I really do not like getting up later.
Because Devil boys daughter was coming over and stopping the night I had to make sure that Wolfie had been put through into his bedroom to try and get him to take a nap before his daughter arrived.
After I took him through I ha to try and wash the nappies as quickly as possible. Once I did that I went through to Wolfie to calm him down and change him. As soon as I had done that I then had to come through and change the twins. Then once I had done that I had to go and settle Wolfie off into his daytime nap (Getting him off for a nap is a strange process) He went off for a nap quickly though thankfully (I am enjoying reading Lord Of The Rings though) I then came through and fed the twins.
It took a while for them both to be settled (as soon as I had managed to settle one the other would wake up) and as soon as they settled I needed to go out to the shop and get something to eat. Once I had eaten I managed to rest for a little before I needed to put the nappies out on the radiator.
I managed to start cleaning the kitchen. I have made good progress with it. It has got very messy and cluttered. I will carry on working on it tomorrow but so far it is looking much better. I am going to work on the twin’s room tonight.
The rest of the afternoon went quite well. I was in a flap at one point but one Wolfie had gone to bed Devil boys daughter calmed down and I started to feel much better.
I have just decided that I am going to have a restful evening and as Devil boys daughter will be sleeping in the living room I will take the twins through earlier than usual (with a few DVDs to watch)
LOL Elbereth managed to make a large mess (especially for such a wee thing) but this means that I am going to have to wash her feeding pillow tomorrow.
Hopefully the night shift will go well tonight as I have another busy day planned ahead (though I am definitely making sure that I get a soak in the bath at the end of the day)
Elbereth would not settle last night so I just pit her alongside me as I was really beginning to feel tired.
Trying to do too much at once
The night sift went much better than I could have expected. When I took them through Malach woke up so I fed him and changed him. He settled off to sleep nicely and I managed to get him to settle off to sleep in his basket.
I managed to get a really good sleep before I brought them alongside with me. They settled nicely. Though I had to completely change Malach one of the times, as he was rather messy.
I managed to get to sleep again and after waking several times I eventually got up and was not happy with myself that it was 12. I really must get up earlier. I know it is wonderful that Devil boy helps out in the morning but I should really be getting up earlier. I know it is early days still but I should be trying to do a little bit more day by day. Even if it means that I get up at 10 that will be much better. I really do not like getting up so late as I feel like I have wasted a lot of the day. I would also like to take Wolfie out for a walk in the morning so that Devil boy has some free time during the day.
The afternoon went well and I managed to get a wash load and clear up before I took the twins out to get some shopping.
Unfortunately Wolfie did not get a nap so towards the end of the afternoon he started to get cranky and overtired. Another reason why I would like to get up earlier in the morning is that I will get more opportunities to get Wolfie to take his daytime nap.
The twins slept for several hours during the day after I got back from the shops, which was really good. This also gave me some time to spend with Wolfie. For some reason though I was in a really irritable mood and even when I was calm it would not take much to wind me up. I think I am trying to do too much at once again and trying to run before I can walk. I would love to sort out our flat as it seems really chaotic and I am annoyed that I cannot get it done instantly. I am going to have to make a proper plan though. I will have to get that sorted out tomorrow.
Wolfie settled off to sleep first time tonight, which was good as the twins at this point had woken up and have up to this point been either awake or unsettled. Hopefully because they have not only had good feeds but also been alert tonight they will get a nice sleep to begin with tonight. I will have my fingers crossed. LOL even if they are unsettled when I take them through I will not be too bothered as I will get the chance to read to them.

Being busy but feeling like I have got nothing done
The night shift went well. The twins were more disturbed than last night when I took them through but they settled nicely which allowed me to get a good sleep in-between feeds. I am happy that I am still managing to settle them without using a dummy. I have decided that I am going to try and get by without a dummy. I am sure that Malach will be funky to continue without a dummy as he is not really a sucky baby but Elbereth is a sucky baby. Thankfully she is managing so far nicely. I have my fingers crossed that it continues this way.
I managed to get my usual much needed lie in. when I got up I leisurely got them ready and fed them. I took some photos of them as I thought it was about time I started building up a huge collection for dad to have a look at.
There was no homestart today because the schools are on holiday until Monday. I spent most of the afternoon sorting out one twin or the other and then browsing the Internet.
Devil boy made the dinners for us and I made some soup for Wolfie. Thankfully he ate it and enjoyed it. I am glad that Wolfie likes garlic as I do like using that a lot. His diet has not been the best recently so I have been planning on getting it back in order. I have managed
Wolfie did not settle off to sleep first time but that meant that I as able to finish reading The Hobbit to him and start reading The Lord Of The Rings to him. I have not read that book since 1997 so I am really looking forward to reading. Also because I will be reading it out loud I will also take things in much better than I did when I first read it. When I first read it I managed to read it in five days. There is no chance that it will happen this time but I am looking forward to reading it. I prefer reading a book to watching a film. While I do like watching films I much prefer reading books as you can get so much more in a book than what you can get in a film.
Devil boy’s computer stuff arrived today. He started putting together his new computer once Wolfie had gone to bed. Unfortunately it is not going well and he is trying his best to work out why there is no life in the computer so far.
The twins have been unsettled tonight as well. It has felt like a constant round of feeding and winding one baby, getting them settled and in their basket to immediately have to repeat the whole process with the other.
This has then meant that today has kind of passed in a haze and that I have not really managed to get a lot done. I have been busy but it feels like I have not got anything done. It is gone 11 now and even though it will not be long before I go to bed it seems like I have got so much stuff to do. The only thing I can do is see what I can manage to get done. Hopefully the twins will remain settled before I crash.

A good night with the twins
I had a really good night with the twins last night. It started off well when I managed to take the twins through at the time that I had planned on taking them through (I was determined to give Devil boy the chance to get a good night’s rest)
I cleared the bed and I thought hat they would wake but they did not. I got into bed and managed to get some sleep and rest my back before Malach woke up. I fed him and he settled off to sleep.
The both woke up twice during the night. I managed to get a good lit in and felt refreshed. Devil boy also managed to get a good sleep as well. Wolfie did not eat any of his breakfast though which was not so good.
The morning and the afternoon went well and I managed to get a wash load in and I also managed to get Wolfie to take a nap before Devil boys daughter came around. I did not manage to get anything done in the back room. I will just do what I can when I can.
I took the twins out in the pram as well as I needed to get my magazines as I had not managed to get the copies from last week as well as more Soya milk for me.
I do like getting out for a walk though as it does not make me feel so bad for the fact I seem to be eating so much at the moment. When I got back we had our dinner. We managed to get Wolfie to eat something thankfully. He is not eating too well at the moment. I m not too worried though as he will not starve but I want to make sure that he does not accidentally fall into a unhealthy diet as that can so easily happen at times like this.
Wolfie settled off to sleep when I had read to him and then I had to then change and feed the twins after. It took them a while to settle and Malach filled his nappy not long after it was changed but I will change that once he has woke up.
Devil boy went to his friend’s house to watch the football tonight. I do like having the house to myself at nights. I like listening to radio shows. It is really good that I can listen to shows that I do not get the opportunity to listen to. Tonight I listened to Giles Peterson and the blue room. These shows are too late for me to listen to (Well the blue room is too early in the morning)
I managed to get the competitions finished that I would have sent off on Monday. Tomorrow I will start the competitions, which I will send off on Monday. This will mean that I am up to date with them. I just have to hope that one time I will win one of the competitions.
I am going to make sure that I take through the twins into the back room at the same time that I did last night. If they are unsettled at first I am going to start reading the Star Wars book, as I did not get the chance to last night.
I am still shocked about how well things are going though. Not only that but how clear I feel. I felt really fuzzy when I had Wolfie and even though Devil boy was helping lots I still felt fuzzy. Though it does help that it does seem so much easier this time. LOL though I have still been late registering them. The twins still have not been registered (the office was meant to phone us back to arrange a time but they have not done yet) We will have to get something sorted out tomorrow.

Clearing out the twins room
The twins remained unsettled for a while and I had to run about to make sure that I managed to quickly clean up.
Unfortunately as I was bout to take the twins through to the back room I heard Wolfie crying. I went through and read to him in the hope that I could get him to settle. The wind was loud in his room so I knew that he would not settle. Devil boy took Wolfie through with him when he had got ready for bed.
The twins took a while to settle as well but thankfully when they did they slept well. I managed to get a good sleep in the end and I managed o get up a little bit earlier in the morning.
While Devil boy took Wolfie over to his Grandmas hose in the morning I started sorting out the twins room. It is very cluttered and there are clothes all over the place. I thought that it would be a good idea to clean it up. I watched the bonus DVD which came with Star Wars Revenge of the Sith while I cleared up.
I managed to make good progress on the room by the time Devil boy got back. I gave Wolfie some lunch and I managed to get him to take a short nap. He is getting much better with his daytime napping so I am hopeful that he is back into the habit of taking his nap.
The afternoon went well and I managed to sort out the nappies and get another wash load done. The only downside to using the cloth nappies is that the twins legs are still very skinny and do not fill the legs of the plastic pants which meant that there can be problems with leaking. Thankfully it does not happen all of the time.
The rest of the day went well. Wolfie is not really eating well at the moment though unfortunately. He did not eat that much for his dinner. I am going to make him some Lentil soup tomorrow. I am sure it is just a phase he is going through. He is also teething so maybe that is also affecting him.
He did not settle off to sleep the first time but thankfully he settled off the second time. I do not mind though as I get an opportunity to read to him which I enjoy. I am looking forward to reading to the twins. I might start tonight on the night shift. I am itching to read a Star wars book. It is about Luke and his wife Mara Jade. I have only read a little bit of it but what I have read is really funky.
Mum phoned up tonight to update me about dad. He unfortunately had a bad day today. Mum was telling me that they have not been washing him, which is not good. He had to ask to get a wash. He is not able to get up and about and he cannot wash himself. He is getting down and while he is making good progress they also rushed him which mum thinks is why he got the clot that he has. There was a problem with that which has resulted in him needing a blood transfusion. Hopefully tomorrow will go better tomorrow for him.
The twins were quite unsettled tonight but they are quiet so far so I am going to take them through to the back room soon so that Devil boy can get a good nights rest as he is shattered after his unsettled nights rest last night. The only thing I have to do in my room is clear the bed of all of the clutter and fill out some competitions.

Getting better at getting out and about and good news about dad
The night shift went well. They took their time settling but I managed to get them settled in the end. Thankfully they settled nicely separately which made it easier to deal with.
I managed to get up earlier than I expected (9.30) so I went back to bed to get some more rest. I managed to sleep until 11.15.
When I got up later I got the twins fed, changed and dressed for going out to the group that I go to in the afternoon. I had a nice lazy morning and Devil boy got Wolfie ready to go out while I put the twins in the pram.
Wolfie managed to do really well walking to the group, as it is a long walk for them and it is up and down the hill. Malach cried most of the way, as he was ready for another feed.
I managed to get to the group on time this week so I now know how to time leaving the house for next week. The group went really well. I had Malach sat on my knee and after I fed him I sang nursery rhymes. Wolfie normally runs about the room and will not sit still but as I had Malach on my knee he wanted to happily sit on my knee as well. LOL I joked that I now knew a way to get Wolfie to sit still for a while.
I found out today that the woman at the group is pregnant (she is due in late August) I think it is an unexpected pregnancy but she is really happy about it. I have told her that I will keep hold of some baby clothes for her. She is going on holiday to America in a couple of weeks to America. She told me that she was really happy that she has managed that the holiday is happening at this stage in her pregnancy. LOL she is already falling victim to the pregnancy brain as she called Wolfie by the wrong name.
He was also very cuddly during the group and hugging a lot of the toddlers. Wolfie was not a happy bunny on the way home though. He cried most of the time and threw many strops. On the way home it was Elbereth’s turn to cry most of the way home (thankfully Malach slept through it all) Wolfie though; poor wee poppet was really tired and hungry as well as thirsty. I had to carry him part of the way (thankfully just the last part) Next week I am going to make sure that he has not only eaten lots before we leave the house but also that I take a snack for him to eat on the way back. He will get used to it though.
We had our dinner shortly after we got home and I washed the nappies when I had changed them all. Elbereth had an interesting explosion, which resulted in her having to be completely changed.
Wolfie settled off after the second time of being read to and after he went to sleep I fed Elbereth and had a lovely soak in the bath.
My friend called me tonight. I am really looking forward to seeing her. I am not sure when she can make it up but it will be wonderful when she can. I love living up here but I wish that she were living up here as well.
I also phoned my mum as well to ask how dad is getting on. The phone was really rather strange when I I called. It rang, was answered and then I heard ‘oh, god…is that you John?’ I said no and when mum realised who I was she was shocked as well. She had just picked up the phone (obviously before it rang) but she was just about to call me to update me about dad
Dad is getting on really well and is off most of the drugs and tubes that he was on. He had a clot (like a blood blister though), which the body can normally get rid of but this is a little too big for him to get rid of so they are draining it. The said it is no problem and it should be gone by tomorrow. He is still receiving a little extra oxygen into his system but he should be off that tomorrow as well. He has been moved out of the intensive care though and is in the normal ward which is really good news. I will send a get-well card along with the crossword book that I have got for him in the next day or two. Mum was telling me that she is not happy with dad’s brothers. She has told them about his operation and none of the have phoned to ask how he is. She has spoken to one though and told him that she is not happy about his lack of phoning up. He was really upset as he said he did not realise dad was so ill and I think he is going to go and see dad soon.
He is making a nice recovery at least. Mum thinks he will be in hospital for the full ten days but that is not a bad thing. Mum was telling me that she thinks that he expected to feel better strait away but he is still making a good recovery though.
The twins have now been fed and the only thing I have left to do tonight is clean up a little and put the nappies out on the radiator before the night shift begins. The competitions can wait until tomorrow. I have not managed to get them done tonight as I was talking on the phone (an enjoyable diversion though)

Others comparing Wolfie to his niece and saving money
The twins were a real challenge to settle last night. I managed to get them settled in the end but I was truly shattered and I did not bother settling them in their baskets, as I was too tired to do so.
They woke several times in the nigh but I managed to get a good sleep.
I got up earlier than usual which gave me change to get some things done. Devil boy took Wolfie around to his grandma’s house so I managed to tidy up a little sort out our sock baskets, cut out liners for the twins nappies and wash clothes.
When Devil boy got back I gave Wolfie something to eat while telling me that his niece was around at his grandmas as well with his brother. His niece is only 5 ½ months younger than Wolfie. When Devil boy’s brothers ex was pregnant I was worried that there would be comparisons. This again happened today. They were happy with her because she was saying Wolfie name. They obviously think Wolfie is behind with his speech. I really do not like this. He is not even two. There is still plenty of time for him to develop his speech. He has concentrated on his movements first. He has wonderful balance (he can stand on one foot and put his other foot in a shoe) and he runs about everywhere) babies and toddlers do everything in their own time. I really do not like the pressure that is involved with their milestones. Unless there is a problem why cannot people let babies learn things in their own way?
Devil boy also confessed to me that he had also been handing money to his grandma to save for him. He has now saved enough to upgrade his computer. I am so impressed that he has managed to do this. Before I dated him he was shocking at saving money. It is great that he is doing so well. LOL though I have not been able to save anything for a while. I am going to have to start putting some money aside so I can buy Star Wars books from time to time.
After Wolfie had something to eat I managed to get him to take a daytime nap again. I am really pleased that he took another daytime nap I am not sure I will manage to get him to take a daytime nap tomorrow because of the time of the group but we will see what happens.
The rest of the day went well and Wolfie was mostly well behaved. The twin’s were disruptive and I spent most of my time changing them, feeding them, winding them and feeding them again. They are sleeping now but Malach is stirring. I hope that they are not so challenging to settle tonight.
Devil boy did annoy me a little. Devil boy was passing Elbereth and Wolfie tried to take her and Devil by slapped him lightly on his head. I really do not like this, as I do not think it is a good way of disciplining. When I told him he told me that I was becoming like Ned Flanders from the Simpson’s. That really annoyed me as just because I do not like that form of discipline does not mean I am like that character. He said later that he would not hit him though. You can discipline a child without hitting
Wolfie did not settle first time tonight but he did when he had been read to for the second time. I have to confess that I do like reading to him though.
I also managed to get the twins in cloth nappies. I am really happy that I have got them in Terries now. I was worried at first as they seemed so small so I though that if I used all of the disposables that I had been given and brought I would change then over to Terries. I have just about ran out now so I decided to try Malach in a terry earlier and it fitted fine so I put Elbereth in a terry and it did not totally swamp her which I was worried about. Now starts the fun with the amount of nappies that I will need to wash.
I managed to get the magazine competitions sent off tonight. I am running behind with them so I will have to spend the next few days catching up with them. I am sure that by Thursday I will be up-to-date (fingers crossed)

A bad night for Devil boy but hopefully starting to get Wolfie back into his old routine
I got the twins through to the back room and they remained settled for some time. Enough time for me to rest for a while before I needed to attend to them.
I unfortunately heard Wolfie wake much earlier than usual. He really does not settle well some nights and I could tell by his cries that this would be one of those nights. Devil boy took him through.
The night shift went well again and while they woke several times they woke separately which made it easier to deal with and they settled quickly.
I heard Devil boy telling Wolfie off in the morning, which woke me up. Wolfie had managed to get hold of Devil boy’s glasses and bent them out of shape. Devil boy was in a really grumpy mood, as he had not had a good night’s sleep.
I decided that I would take Wolfie out for a walk and try and get him to take a day time nap so that Devil boy could get a rest.
I managed to get Wolfie and the twins out for a walk in the early afternoon. It went quite well. Wolfie was keep to potter along but unfortunately he also wanted to stop and pick up stones, sticks, rubbish etc. I am sure that our walks will get better when he gets used to walking alongside the pram. He did also want to help push the pram at points, which was really sweet.
When I got back I managed to get him to take a daytime nap, which I was really pleased about. Wolfie is so much happier for having a daytime nap. I know it is still early days but it really does feel like we are getting back into a normal routine. I have decided that I am going to take the twins and Wolfie out for a walk every day.
Devil boy needed to go out though in the afternoon as his brother was having problems with his computer. Thankfully the twins slept while I kept Wolfie entertained. The afternoon went well and Devil boy was back in time to bathe him.
He did not settle first time but thankfully he managed to settle off the second time. Hopefully he will get a better night’s sleep than last night. I am going to make sure that I get to bed earlier in case he does not settle well through the night.
I decided that I would relax tonight and watch some of the new DVDs that arrived. We watched the animated series star wars: The clone wars, which were really funky. The animation is really cute.
Malach is stirring so I am hoping to get a good feed before we start the night shift. Devil boy has him while I write this out. Though he is a rotter at times. Malach is a heavy breather and Devil boy keeps telling me that he is snuffling for truffles. LOL he has just held him to the carpet and asked me if he was snuffling for truffles nicely, LOL. Poor Malach.

Getting out and about but an unsettled evening
The night shift went well. They again woke several times during the night but thankfully they woke separately which made it easy for me to deal with them and they then settled quickly so I got a good sleep.
When I got up mum phoned me shortly after I got up to let me know how dad was getting on. He has made good progress during the night and he has had the breathing tube removed and only has to wear a breathing mask now. They have also managed to get him sting in his bed and he managed to drink a cup of tea. It is really good that he is making such good progress. Mum is feeling so much more positive.
I got up late and Devil boy went over to his grandmas with Wolfie, which gave me time to have a look around for my digital camera. I actually managed to find it so I took some photos of the twins before I went out.
I went up to the bank and get some things (crossword books for dad and a book from the charity shop) before I then went up to his grandma’s house. I took the pram that my friend gave me, as it is narrow enough to get through his grandmas back door.
I met my friend on the way to his grandma’s house and we chatted for a while. I met Devil boy at his grandma’s house. He was just leaving as I got there. Wolfie was getting really cranky so he did not stay for long before he took him home. I stayed for about an hour before I went home. I think his grandma is really funky. I have not been able to get over much since the twins were born so hopefully now that I am getting back into a normal routine I should hopefully be able to visit more often.
The night went well. Wolfie while he was acting up a little was also being good. I think I am going to try and get him to take a daytime nap tomorrow, as he is much better when he has had a nap. He did hug Malach though before he had his bath which was really sweet and he also kissed him on his head a few times.
He did not settle off to sleep the first time but thankfully after I read to him he settled off. While I was reading to him mum phoned up to let me know how dad was getting on. From what Devil boy told me he is still doing well but he managed to eat a meal but unfortunately he did not keep it down. It is still early days though.
I had planned on getting a few things done in the evening but the twins have been really unsettled which has meant that I have not been able to get anything done. I think if I can manage to put the pram down and clear space for their baskets in the back room then that will be good enough. I did manage to have a soak in the bath though so I am very happy about that.
I am hoping that they will settle soon as I really would like to lie down for a bit as my back is aching a lot at the moment.

Dad had his operation as well as a busy day for me
The night shift went well. The twins woke up in turns and I decided that I would have to go through to the bedroom at nearly 2am so that Devil boy could get some rest.
They were unsettled at first but I managed to get them to settle nicely before I got a good sleep. I had to feed them several times but they settled quickly afterwards.
In the morning I pottered about on the internet too much which meant that I had to rush about to get the twins ready for homestart, while Wolfie was running about and trying to jump on me as generally get in the way. I got into rather a flap at one point but I was ready on time. Thankfully though the mini bus was late though which gave me chance to get extra things ready and find some of the things that I originally could not find.
The group went really well and the twins went into the double buggy that my friend had taken up to the group for me to use. I asked if I could take it home and then bring it to the group each week instead. It is a narrower buggy than the huge one that I have so if I have to get out in a hurry then that would be a really good pram to use. It was really nice of my friend to have through of me when finding a new home for her old double buggy. It would have been really easy for her to have just thrown it away.
A woman brought in some clothes that her daughter had grown out of so my friend sorted through for clothes for her daughters and any clothes that were too small for her daughters went into a pile for Elbereth. They will not fit her for a while yet but it is always good to stock up on clothes. Malach will get all of Wolfies old clothes so it is good that Elbereth also has clothes ready for her to grow into.
Wolfie seems to be getting so much better. He does not seem so eager to slap. He still needs a lot of attention and reassurance and he does still act up but he is a lot better. When I went to get him from the crèche at the end of the group he ran up to me and gave me a big hug. He will also kiss the twins when I ask him to so I am really happy with how he is doing.
Mum phoned me up to let me know how well his operation went. She told me that all went well from what they could tell thankfully. He will be heavily sedated all this evening and he is still on the ventilator. But gradually through the night they will take him off the various machines as he starts to recover and his heart gets stronger. I am so glad that he has got through the operation funkily though. I just have to keep my fingers crossed that his recovery goes just as well. I am going to go out and get a card for him tomorrow as well as some crossword books so that he will have something to do. The recovery will be so long and he will not even be able to lift a kettle for a while so he needs something to do to keep boredom at bay. He will not be able to lift a kettle due to the surgery. Because they have had to open his chest and wire it back together any strain could damage the work that has been done so he has to wait until the bone starts to mesh together again. I must admit that it is a huge weight off my mind to know that he has at least got through the operation. Hopefully when mum calls again tomorrow she will be able to let me know how he is recovering.
Wolfie settled off to sleep first time tonight and after Devil boy had done that he went off to his friends house for the night. He has not been to his friend’s house for a while now so it has been good for him to get out.
I have also enjoyed being on my own as well. I have been on the radio 1 website and listened to the show called the Blue Room which is a repeat of the show from last Sunday. It is a really funky show. I have not listened to a radio show for a while. When I lived in Nottingham I listened to the radio all of the time as I did not have a TV. I especially loved listening to John Peel. I must try and listen to the radio shows that I used to listen to more often as I am embarrassingly behind with the new music that is out.
The twins have been really good tonight. The have taken good feeds and are now sleeping. Malach was a little unsettled but I managed to clean the kitchen and the back room before I needed to go and see to him.
I am just relaxing now before going to bed ready for the start of the next night shift.

Night shift not going too badly followed by quite a productive day
The twins were unsettled and as soon as I settled one the other would start crying. It went like this until it was gone 1.30 and it was nearly 2 before I managed to get to bed.
The woke very shortly after I got to bed and after a round of changing, feeding and winding I managed to get them settled off. They woke a couple of times during the night and they settled quite well .I managed to push the bed against the wall though so I was able to get a better position to save my back.
The morning went well and I received a present for the twins from one of my online friends, which was really funky.
Mum phoned in the morning when I was in bed to let me know that the card that I had sent dad had arrived in time and that he really appreciated it (and the message from Devil boy)
Devil boy’s daughter came around in the afternoon so our household became chaotic for a while. I managed to get the nappies washed and Devil boy’s daughter ran around screaming after Wolfie. She was not that fussed about the twins today but then again they are not very interesting at the moment while they sleep. She held Malach when he woke up though.
I managed to make my weekly food shopping order while his daughter was here. It will be delivered tomorrow morning.
She will be stopping overnight this weekend for the first time since the twins were born. We will see how it goes. Hopefully it will go well.
I discovered that Wolfie is teething again. I noticed that he has another tooth coming through on the bottom. I am hoping that those are the last of the teeth coming through. I think that is why he did not settle off to sleep well tonight. He ate well today and he did not have much sweet things.
I unfortunately ate some cake today so I am getting worried that I will be putting on weight rather than losing my pregnancy weight. I have decided to delay weighing myself until next week when hopefully I can get back on track.
The rest of the night has gone well and while the twins were a bit unsettled they have now slept for a few hours. This has meant that I was able to put the nappies on the radiator, download some things and hopefully tidy up a little bit before I go to bed. I have to make sure that I do not get up too late so I can get ready for homestart and put the bin out in time. LOL I lead such a rock n roll lifestyle at the moment.
