I joined the library

The night shift went really well again. Elbereth slept until 9 in the morning and Malach slept until 6.30 but he settled quickly after a feed. I am really pleased that the twins are getting into nice sleeping habits. I am still struggling to get up in the morning but I think that is more due to feeding twins so I need more sleep.

The morning went well. Devil boy took Wolfie over to his grandmas and I sorted the twins out while he was away.

When Wolfie got back I was really wound up for some reason. I was a little snappy but I just decided that I would get out and join the library so that I would get some fresh air and be calm by the time I got back.

I got up to the library only to find that I had forgotten to take something that I needed so I could not join. I did remember to bring the slips for the twins to I could sign them up to the doctors. I also saw a woman in there who used to go the massage group that I went to with Wolfie. She has just recently given birth to her ninth child. She is one of those lucky women who not only do not really put on much weight when they are pregnant but also regain their figure very quickly. To look at her you would never guess that she had a baby about a month ago.

When I got home I then sorted out sending the competitions that I fill out in Take a break and Chat. I have not managed to find my mobile phone so I have decided to send them in the post. I should hopefully get one of them in just in time. I also filled out my form to get physiotherapy and sent it off as well

I looked at the time and I realised that I still had time to get back out and join the library. I managed to take all of the things that I needed and I joined up and I also got memberships for Wolfie, Elbereth and Malach. The really funky thing is that with the library membership cards that I have means that I can get books from any library in Fife. I think that is really funky.

I also checked my money while I was out and that was good. This will mean that I will be able to put more money towards the credit card bill next week. It needs it as during the problems with the benefits not only could we not pay off much but we had to use the credit card a few times to get food.

Thankfully by the time I had got back I was feeling much better. I think two brisk walks today has really helped.

After dinner Wolfie had his bath and as per usual settled off to sleep without any problems. I then had a lovely soak in the bath and came through and dealt with the twins and watched a really interesting programme about patterns in population growth in the UK.

The twins have been quite unsettled tonight but hopefully that will mean that when they have settled they will settle for the night.

I cannot find my mobile phone

The night shift went really well again last night. Malach is settling later that Elbereth though but once he has settled he will sleep for a good few hours. Malach woke up at around 6 and Elbereth woke up at around 7.30. I am really pleased that they are sleeping well. This means that I can get a really good sleep. I am giving them a quick feed before I get up and make their breakfast but I am finding that I am falling asleep when I feed them. I managed to get up at 9.30 though this morning and I woke up swiftly so that was good.

I made breakfast and then I got the twins ready for homestart. I managed to quickly go out and get the magazines that I read and fill the competitions out of. I am going to make sure that I take a photo of a tip that I will be sending off to Take a break. If they print it I will use that money to treat myself to getting some Star Wars books.

The homestart went well. There were a couple of people not there as they were seeing their children in the Easter services at the schools. One girl did not make it so there was only one other along with me. It went well and I enjoyed myself. Wolfie managed to paint an egg and I managed to start work on a collage for a friend. I just need to work out how I m going to sew the fairy in.

The afternoon went well. I managed t get the council tax paid and ask about what I need to join the local library. I will join tomorrow. I will also join up for Wolfie and the twins. I also spent some time looking for my mobile phone so that I could send off the competitions from the magazines. It is unfortunately switched off so I cannot ring it. I cannot even remember where I last saw it. I will have another look tomorrow.

When I got back we had dinner and I had to tell Wolfie off a few times. He was not only getting a bit rough when he was climbing all over me (pinching my neck, slapping and pulling my hair) but he was also slapping the twins. I got him to kiss the twins though afterward. I am finding it a lot easier to deal with though I think that the more times I need to deal with his temper the better I will get at dealing with it. I am trying to make sure that I do not lose my temper with him, hit him or shut. I am doing one thing from Supernappy that I like. When I tell him off I always go over to him and get down to his level to tell him off (in a authoritative voice)

After he went to bed I had a soak in the bath and when I got out my friend called for a chat. It was lovely chatting to her. I will miss her birthday soon, which is a shame. I would have liked to have gone out for her birthday. I really miss not seeing her often. I wish that I could get to visit her more often. I am really looking forward to saving up and getting a car so that I will be able to get down to see her more often. There is no way that I could manage to get all three down on the train on my own.

I have spent the rest of the night getting some supper and then replying to messages and E-Mails. I am going to clean up and read for about half an hour before I go to bed. The twins are sleeping at the moment but I would like to get a quick read before I take them through.

Getting up to visit a friend with all three children

The night shift went really well again. The twins took a while to settle off in the night and at first I was not sure that Malach was going to settle as when I took him through he was stirring but. I just left him to make his noises and if he cried I would deal with him. Thankfully he settled off though and they both slept through until Malach woke at around 6 and Elbereth woke at around.

I fed them and then I got up and made breakfast for us all. Wolfie made a bit of a mess but he ate most of his breakfast. I got the twins ready while Devil boy got Wolfie ready/. He then went off to the dentists and I got ready and went up to visit my friend.

The journey was challenging. Wolfie fell over a few times and he cried lots of times. It is a long walk for him an he was very tired at the end of it. He was happy though while I was at my friend house. Unfortunately my friend’s husband was sick. She had sent me an E-Mail letting me know this but unfortunately I did not see it before I left the house. You cannot avoid everything though and if I get ill I will deal with it. The twins are easy to sort out. I just need to make sure that I get plenty of fluids.

Wolfie was mostly very funky. He did not throw tantrums when he was told not to do something and he did was he was asked to do. Though this stopped when he got increasingly tired and I had to stop him on many occasions from going up the stairs. I knew it was time to go home though when he started hitting one of my friend’s daughters. I felt so embarrassed. Wolfie has been getting into such a temper when he is tired.

I phoned up Devil boy though and he came up and met us. He was then able to carry Wolfie home. We got him something else to eat when he was home and he seemed a lot happier when he was home. I did discover that he enjoyed playing with the Star Wars potatoehead. I will have to get him one of those.

The rest of the afternoon went well. I managed to get out for a walk in the afternoon. I have not been eating too well this week (more that I have been eating a little too much rich in calories food) so the walk was god for me.

I then managed to get the nappies washed while Devil boy’s daughter was over. I am going to be baking cakes with her on Saturday so I will need to get the ingredients soon.

I have then spent the rest of the night busy trying to find my mobile phone so I could send off the competitions. Hanging out the washing, folding up clothes, cleaning up and sorting the twins out. Elbereth has been sick a few times this afternoon but she has at least settled off now and kept the last feed mostly down. Malach is the one that is stirring. I unfortunately did not manage to get any reading done tonight though. I will make sure that I will get that done tomorrow.

I am not sure whether it is my imagination though or I am getting wheat my friends husband has got but I feel very tired and a bit sick. I have not had an E-Mail from my friend to say that anyone else is ill so I am hoping that it is my imagination. I will have to make sure that I get to bed as soon as possible tonight. I have not got a lot more to do before I go to bed thankfully.

Wolfies two-year check and the twins birth story

The night shift went really well again. Once again both twins slept through the night again. Malach woke up at around 6.30 and Elbereth woke up at around 7am. After I had fed them I slept for a bit longer before I got up.

When I got up I read my Emails and Devil boy cleaned up a little before I got my breakfast ready. I was just about to start eating my breakfast when Wolfies health visitor arrived to give him his two-year check.

That went really well. He stacked up the blocks nicely and he also drew lines and circles. Wolfie holds his pen really nicely. He much prefers using pens that using crayons. The health visitor was also happy with his speech. He has not been that bothered about speaking and has concentrated mostly on movement. Though he has recently really started to develop his speech nicely. I am not worried about it though. He will learn to speak when he is ready.

The health visitor also had a look at the twins and she was really happy with how they are coming on. She said that she can tell a difference with them already and she only saw them a couple of weeks ago. It always reassures me that they are getting on well. I can see that they are getting on well but part of me also worried that they are not doing well because while they take proper feeds they are also having big gaps between feeds. It is reassuring though to know that someone else can see that they are getting on nicely.

In the afternoon I sorted out a lot of the clothes in the back room. The clothes had become scattered about the room and a lot of their sleep suits and vests had gone AWOL. I managed to find them all and put away most of the clothes. I also sorted out a bag for the 9 – 12 month clothes for the twins.

After that I got the twins ready to take up to the doctors with me. When I got there I needed to change and feed Elbereth. I then saw the doctor. He seemed in a very good mood today and we had a nice chat. He has given me some paracetamol for my back and he told me to fill out a form to ask to get some physiotherapy. I will get that sent off tomorrow. Hopefully it won’t take too long to get sorted.

After the doctors I went to get some things form the shop (I treated myself to some silly things) and while I was in the shop getting my prescription as well I looked up to see a woman who I used to chat to a bit form one of the baby groups that I used to go to. I was really shocked to see her as I was not expecting to see her. She had moved to another town before I found out I was pregnant. She then got a shock when I showed her the twins though.

After that I went around to my friends house. Her husband is home from university at the moment revising for his exams so I had a good chat to the both. She has had a funky new haircut. It really suits her. I was reminded by seeing her new hairstyle that I need to get my hair sorted at some point soon.

After I got home I had had to phone up Take a break to give them some details about the twins birth story. They are going to print the story. I am really pleased about that. I am going to buy lots of copies when it comes out in May. After that I had some dinner and Wolfie then went in the bath. Wolfie decided though tonight that he would do a poo in the bath. That was not much fun to clear up and it was rather messy.

I cleaned up his toys and gave the bath a really good clean before I then had a bath.

I then managed to catch up totally with the competitions form the Chat and Take a break. I have not been that up to date for a long time. Tomorrow I am going to have a night reading.

Devil boy has not been feeling well though unfortunately so I am going to try and get the twins through ASAP so that he can get some rest.

Got a doctors appointment and I have a funky temporary bedroom door

The night shift went really well last night. Both Malach and Elbereth settled off really well and by the time I had got ready., taken them through it was 12 o’clock. I thought it was 1am so I was really happy about that.

They both then slept all the way through. I was not expecting that and it was such a wonderful surprise. Malach woke up at 7am. Wolfie woke up at 7.30 and Elbereth woke up at around 8am. I felt really good for getting such a good sleep. After I fed Elbereth I got up and had a light breakfast before going up to the doctors to make an appointment. I have an appointment at 3.30 tomorrow afternoon. I am happy to know that I am going to get something done about my back.

When I got back Devil boy told me that the rhyme and time had been cancelled for the afternoon. I decided that I would still get out, as I needed to take some things to the recycle buckets.

I was able to get Wolfie off for a nap though and I managed to get some work on my friends door sign for her children that I said I would make ages ago. I had made some good progress on it by the tie I set off with the twins n the afternoon. I took the things to be recycled and then called in at Devil boy’s grandmas on the way back. I managed to finish the door sign then (Bless his grandma as she gave me a needle so that I could finish it how I wanted)

I fed Elbereth while I was there and Devil boys mum spent some time with her. She then settled off to sleep on the way home.

I have not managed to get any clearing out done in the shed today but I have not had the opportunity to do so. I am hoping that I will get the chance to continue tomorrow.

I got some dinner and while Wolfie was in the bath I started work on making a temporary door for the twins room. I put up a curtain rail and I then put in a new hem to a sheet that I have had for years. I originally bought it to use as curtains and then over the years it has been used for many different things. It latest use is as a door. That worked out funkily and I now have a good temporary door. I now also have curtain rail for the curtains for the bookshelf that I am going to make.

The rest of the night has gone well. Malach has been a bit unsettled but I have managed to get some competitions done while feeding him. It was a struggle to get them done as even though I know that they needed to be done I was really in the mood tonight. I have done well though. Elbereth though has slept all afternoon and night. She is still in the suit that she was in when I went out. She has stirred but I will get her up in a minute so I can get her ready for bed and give her a feed.

The mass clear out has really begun

The night shift did not go too well last night. It started off well. I took the twins through and I enjoyed reading to them. Elbereth settled in her basket but Malach would not settle off. It was not too late but I was feeling really tired so I just decided to put Malach in bed with me for tonight. Most nights they are settling in their baskets so I was not too bothered about one night. Elbereth also woke during the night but one off night is not bad.

Wolfie slept well though so at least I managed to get one out of three. I got up and made breakfast for Devil boys daughter, Wolfie and I. Wolfie made a right mess this morning but the cat was feeling obviously hungry and ate a lot of the porridge off the floor.

I started work on the shed again and I start3ed sorting through some of the bags and chucking out some of the things. I always find this part the most challenging of it. I usually find things and think ‘Oh I really like this’ or ‘I will keep this as it does not take up much room’ I was good today and I managed to get rid of a lot of things. I think that now I have started the decluttering I will really manage to get rid of the clutter that I have wanted to get rid of for years.

I came back in after a while and while Devil boy took Wolfie I changed and fed the twins. There is quite a difference in their characters already. Elbereth is quiet and serious looking. She does not look at you for long and is much more interested in looking at around about. She is also much more of a sucky baby than Malach. She sucks her hand quite a lot. Malach though is more vocal than Elbereth and is much more interested in looking at you rather than around the room. He smiles so much and makes lots of really cute noises. It feels like you can have a conversation with him. You say something to him and he smiles and coos back at you. It is lovely.

After they had both been fed and entertained I started work on the kitchen. I decided that I was going to sort it out. I managed to spend most of the afternoon on the kitchen. I cleared the table of stuff and organise the side where I had my recycle corner. I have fond a new home for the recycle corner and sort out the recyclables to take out tomorrow.

I also organised the cutlery draw, which was a right mess. It looks so funky now. The kitchen is really beginning to look good now and it is looking bigger and more efficient. I am really proud of what I have managed to get done.

I had to take a break at one point as my back was really aching and I was getting stomach cramps. Thankfully they did not last too long and I spent most of the night relaxing on the sofa while feeding the twins and watching a funky programme on UKTV history about the British Isles.

The twins have now both settled off to sleep so I am going to relax for another half an hour before getting ready for bed. We will see what tonight begins.

I have been like a woman possessed

The night shift went really well. Elbereth slept though the night again, which was really funky. Malach woke up at about 5.30 same as last night. I am sure he will get there though. It is great that one is though. I am sure that this will come to a stop when they have their 3-month growth spurt but I am enjoying it while it lasts.

The morning went really well. I did get a shock when the credit card bill arrived. This inspired me to take some photos and send off my birth storey to Take a break. Devil boy had a hangover this morning so I was in charge of changing all three and feeding them all. It went really funkily though and when Devil boy went out to get his daughter he took Wolfie along as well.

While they were out I managed to get some cleaning done in the kitchen. I really have to get that sorted out as it is far too cluttered.

When they got back devil boy tried to fit one of the doors on the twins room but it did not fit. This will mean that when Devil boy’s dad is next up in the area they will trim the door to fit.

The afternoon went by crazily but funkily. During the afternoon I decided to have a look for one of the spare mop heads in the shed. When I go in I turned into a mad woman possessed. I then started clearing out stuff and chucking out things. There is far too much junk in there. I need to sort it out as I have had enough of it. I am so tired of having to negotiate around junk. I threw out the recycle pile that I have resigned myself to the fact that I am not going to sort out. It has been there for months but I will keep on top of it from now. I also threw out Wolfies old play pit as I have not managed to mend it and it is not expensive to replace. LOL for all of the times I tried to replace I spent half of how much it cost in the first place.

I also have moved a lot of the card into out paper recycle bucket. While I was doing that our neighbour came around to see me. He had a cabinet that he did not want anymore and thought we might like it. It is really funky so I took it. That was so nice of him to do that. We have no room in our kitchen for it so I am going to turn it into a bookcase. It will fit a few in. I am going to make some curtains for it. I also managed to clear out enough room in the shed for it. I will find a new home for it once I have cleared space for t. This summer will be the mad clear out summer.

The rest of the day went well. Though the door handle on the bathroom is not working well so I got stuck in there. That was not nice but thankfully Devil boy was able to open it from the other side.

I must admit that I was glad when Wolfie went to bed as thing begin to greatly calm down after that. Sometimes Saturdays can get too chaotic.

I have spent the rest of the night rushing around tidying and replying to my friend’s messages and E-Mails ready for taking the twins through earlier than usual. I will be glad just to relax though and read in peace. I will have to hang a curtain up by the door to hopefully muffle some of the noise while the door is off.

Elbereth slept through the night again

The night shift once again went really well. The twins settled off really nicely and I managed to get a good sleep before Wolfie woke up at around 4.30. Occasionally he has some bad nights and as that was his first bad night for a while I took him through to Devil boy.

Malach then woke up at around 5.30. Elbereth again slept all night, which I think is really funky. She woke up at about 10am. I changed and fed the twins once I’d had my breakfast.

The morning flew by and shortly after Devil boy took Wolfie to his grandma’s house I notice the time. I had told my friend that I would call in at her house as it was her birthday. I noticed that it was 1pm. She leaves to pick her daughter up from school at around 2.30 so I needed to leave the house ASAP. I managed to get ready to go out in just under 15minutes. I thought that was really good, as I had also brought the washing in. It had just started to rain.

By the time I had got a few things from the shop and got to my friends house the rain was getting heavier. I had a funky time around at my friends. We chatted about a few things and of course some Star Wars. I love being able to chat to someone who loves Star Wars as much as I do.

When we set out the rain was really quite heavy. I was really glad that I managed to get the washing in before I left the house. When I got home I made myself a bananatoastie before I realised that I needed to go out and get soya milk. While it is good for exercise for me it meant that I was getting more wet. When I got back from my walk it was not long before I was out again to post the mothers day card for mum. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. Thankfully though that was that for going out and I could dry.

The twins slept brilliantly again which meant that I could tidy up a bit in the kitchen, fold up the nappies and wash the plastic pants that go with the nappies. That is not a nice job. With my old washing machine I could put them in that which saved a lot of work. The new machine that we have destroys them so I have to hand wash them. I have not been very efficient at washing them as it is not a nice job but today I managed to wash them all. I am really proud of myself, as I have meant to do that for a long time. I am going to make sure that I do not let that amount of plastic pants build up again.

The only problem with washing the pants though is that I must not lean over the sink very well. I have now got an aching back as a result. It has not gone even after a soak in the bath. I have decided that I am going to make an appointment on Monday to get referred to a physiotherapist. I know that it will be a wait but the sooner I get my name on the sooner the I can get seen to.

I have worked quickly on getting my jobs done in the evening and replied to my friend’s messages and E-Mails while listening to the radio on the Internet while Devil boy is out at his friend’s house so that I can rest and read tonight. I tried to send an E-Mail to a friend that I have not been in touch for a while bit unfortunately the E-Mail would not work. I will have to try and get in touch with her parents and then get her details again.

Disciplining a spirited toddler

The night shift went really well. I managed to get to bed at a good time and the twins once again settled in their baskets.

Malach woke up at around 5.30 and while Elbereth snuffled she did not stir. Malach took a lot of feed though and was getting disturbed by bad breathing. I think he has got a cold developing. I managed to clear his nose but he still sounded bunged up.

I got up at around 9.30 and Elbereth still had not woken. I am so impressed with how she has slept. I got breakfast ready and then I got the twins changed, dressed and fed ready for homestart.

I took some juice with me to homestart, as I really need to make sure that I am drinking lots of fluids. I have also signed Wolfie up for getting into a crèche for the summer while homestart is closed for the holidays. I will probably not be able to get him in every week but what I can get will be good enough for me. I have also signed up for a sponsored walk. I will not bother with the sponsoring part. I will just give them some money. I cannot be bothered getting sponsors and then having to collect them. I am looking forward to the walk. It will be fun and nice to get out. I will not take Wolfie though as it is too far for him to walk.

The rest of the afternoon went quite well. Wolfie has taken to playing with my stereo though and I had to spend some time by it trying to get him to stop. I will no doubt have to do this for a few days until I can get him to stop. We also have to stop him form playing with the DVD player as well. He keeps trying to put in and take out the Bob the builder DVD but until he learns how to operate it gently I will have to stop him.

He was hitting me a few times tonight so I was remembering supernanny and getting down to his level and telling him in a firm voice that he is not to do that and that hitting is not very nice. I know it is just a phase but I am managing to resist hitting him really well not and so much so that I am not even thinking about it any more. I am also not getting so wound up when he hits which is also helping. I think that with discipline wt is a learning curve. I am sure that by the time the twins are toddling about and at this sage I will be an expert.

I did manage to get some cleaning up done in the kitchen and put the nappies out on the line before Wolfie went to bed. I have managed to also get some cleaning up done in the living room.

I have decided to have a relaxing night. I had a lovely soak in the bath and now that I have replied to all of my friends messages I am going to read for a bit before getting the twins and I ready for bed. I have got a busy day ahead tomorrow so I need to get a good rest.

The night shift went well. Though I was not too happy that I went to bed later than what I wanted to.

The twins though once they had settled off to sleep for a good length of time. I think they are beginning to settle down into nice sleeping patterns. They still wake obviously at night but the foundations are beginning to be laid and so far I think they are going well. They settle off to sleep in their baskets with out fuss and sleep for some hours so I am happy with how it is going. They also are getting on nicely without being swaddled and without sleeping bags, which is also good. I am also really happy that they are managing to settle off without dummies. I do not really mind them but I could not help but feeling a failure with Wolfie because he had a dummy.

The rest of the night went well. I wanted to get up at 9 but I struggled to get up and I only managed to get up at 9.40. I went through and made breakfast for Devil boy, Wolfie and I. Wolfie decided that he wanted to eat his breakfast this morning and while he made a mess it was not that much considering how much porridge he ate.

I was going to go over to Devil boy’s grandmas with all three in the morning but she called to say that she was going out. I then used this opportunity to put Wolfie off for a nap. I then got the twins ready. Wolfie must have been really tired, as it did not take long for him to fall asleep. I then fed the twins while he slept.

I decided that when he got up that as he did not seem himself that I would not bother taking him out. I will try another day. Devil boy made his dinner and I have something to eat before getting ready to go out.

I bumped into my friend while I was out. She had not had a good night’s rest last night and she looked absolutely shattered. We chatted for a shirt while before I headed up to Devil boys grandmas house.

I had a really nice time up there. We chatted for a bit and watched some programmes. I think she would like getting Sky in. She lives watching quiz shows and it would be nice for her to treat herself to it, as there is a quiz show channel. While I was there I noticed one of the funky scarves that Devil boys mum had knitted her. I was looking at it when she said that if I could repair it I could have it. That was really nice of her. It looks easily repairable. She was also telling me that Devil boys mum will be back over at the weekend and that she will be staying at her house for a short while. I think she will enjoy that and it will be nice for both her and Devil boys mum.

When I got back I browsed the Internet and replied to a message from my fiend. I also managed to see the neighbour above us. He has had a door outside his entrance for a while and as we need a new door I asked him what he was going to do with it. He told me strait away that we could have it. I think that was really nice of him, as I would have bought it from him. We will use that door in the kitchen and replace the twin’s bedroom door with the old kitchen door. The door was in really good condition considering that it had been outside all winter. As it was snowing we have the door, which is to go to the twins room in the kitchen. I really have to sort out the kitchen out and soon, as it is too chaotic and not very organised at all. I then tidied up while Deil boy bathed and put Wolfie to bed. He settled off again perfectly. After he had settled off to sleep he took his daughter home.

I then changed and fed the twins. They have been wonderful today. They have taken good feeds and then had good sleeps in-between. They have been asleep all afternoon. While I fed them I start rereading the Star Wars book that I finished yesterday. I felt like reading it again. I also have to look out for clues so I am going to make sure that I read it carefully.

I am going to make sure that I get all of the things that I need to get done before bed done quickly so that I do not go to bed as late as last night.

Feeling down in the morning

The night shift went well. The twins settled off nicely but as I was really enjoying reading the Star Wars book I went to bed a little later that I intended.

The twins slept well during the night. Malach woke up at around 5.30 for a feed but Elbereth slept until around 7am.

The only thing I was not happy about was that I really struggled to get out of bed. I fed the twins but I was really finding it difficult to wake up. I thankfully managed to wake up and I finished reading the Star Wars book. I really enjoyed reading it. I am hoping to either get a list or compile a list of all of the Star Wars books that are available. I am hoping to read them all. I definitely will be reading that book again as it was so well written.

I was not in the best of moods though in the morning and Devil boy and I were rather short with each other. He then took Wolfie over to his grandma’s house.

I though felt really down in the morning. I really struggled to get myself organised. I managed to motivate myself to get the twins ready and fed. Even though I felt down I was still determined to go over to Devil boys grandmas. I hoped that the walk out would help pick me up.

Thankfully it did work. While I was still did not feel right over there I began to pick up al lot quicker than I would have done at home. Devil boy’s uncle came over today. I am not sure why but Wolfie is absolutely terrified of him. As he approached the house Wolfie shut the door on him and when he walked in the house Wolfie ran away crying. He cried a lot when his uncle was close.

Devil boys mum and dad then took Wolfie back home in the car and I walked back with the twins. I am going to take Wolfie around tomorrow, as I need to get him out walking to get him used to walking distances. This will hopefully mean that he manages the walk to Rhyme and time better.

The rest of the afternoon thankfully went really funkily. I managed to get my application for child benefit for the twins sent off and I went to the shop to get some dinner for us. I also managed to get a brush. I keep losing my other brush, finding it and then losing it. I have not managed to brush my hair for ages as a result and as my hair was beginning to matt up badly I needed to brush it.

When I got back I took in the washing as not only was it dry but snow has been forecast for tomorrow so it would be better to get them in case it does really chill tonight.

Wolfie then was put to bed. The poo wee poppet was absolutely shattered. I then sorted out the twins and ran a bath for myself. I was about to go through to the bath when I noticed that Wolfie had woken. I went through to cuddle him and I noticed that he felt really warm. Thankfully though he settled back off to sleep but I am going to keep an eye on him over the next day to see how he is.

I had a lovely bath and after what seemed an age I managed to win the battle of brushing my hair. I have pulled out so much hair though. I am thinking of getting my hair cut off and dyed. I am going to find out if there is a hair dressing college locally so I can get it cut for less money.

I have spent the rest of the night relaxing and replying to messages and E-Mails. I am going to clean up ready for an earlier night than last night. Elbereth has been nice and settled but Malach still has to settle but Devil boy has helped by winding him. I am hoping that he will settle soon. I need to get an early night’s sleep in the hope that I can get up early tomorrow.

A challenging walk to the Rhyme and time group with Wolfie, Elbereth and Malach

The night shift went well and even though I once again did not managed to try and settle them in their baskets during the night feeds they slept for a good few hours in them which meant that I got a good sleep on my own.

I managed to wake up early again this morning. I struggled to get out of bed though but I made use of being in bed and unable to properly wake and I fed the twins before I eventually got up.

This meant that I could take a leisurely breakfast and feed Wolfie at the same time and browse the Internet and relax a little before I got the twins up and ready.

I got them changed, dressed and fed. Devil boy then got Wolfie ready to go out while I got the twins and myself ready. I then set off for Rhyme and time with all three of them. The journey across was very challenging. It was going well until Wolfie fell over and started crying. I cuddle him lots and he did not look hurt but when they crying started it would not stop. I tried time after time to cuddle him and console him but as soon as I had settled him he would start crying as soon as we set off. I even carried him but toward the end he was crying all of the time. I thin he was tired, hungry and not used to walking far. Though I am proud of myself. I felt myself getting frustrated and really wound up at times but I did not snap or shout at him at all.

When we got to the group I gave him his snack and a drink and he settled down soon after that. There was only one other at the group this week. It varies each week how many turns up. The group went well and Wolfie joined me to sing some of the nursery rhymes.

At the end of the group Wolfie was really playing up when I went to put his coat on. He was just having fun and wanting to be chased but I felt myself getting really wound up again. I thankfully managed to stay calm though and I did not say anything to him on the way to Devil boys grandmas house, which I would have done before.

The walk to Devil boy’s grandmas went quite well. It was a challenge but at least he did not cry. There was one point when a woman helped me out by keeping Wolfie entertained and picking him up if he fell. Wolfie has a habit of suddenly dashing in front and then tripping up on the pram.

When I got to this grandmas Devil boys mum was there and they were about to go out. They were picking up Devil boy to take him to drop off a letter so that we can get or benefits sorted out. Thankfully she took Wolfie along as well so I just had the twins to take home. I have decided thought that I am going to take Wolfie out a lot more with me when I go out, as he needs to get used to walking distances.

The rest of the day went well. Wolfie was so tired when he got back but he picked up a little after his dinner. We put him in his bath slightly earlier though and he settled off to sleep really nicely.

I then had a lovely soak in the bath followed by browsing the Internet and replying to my friend E-Mail that she sent this morning. I had planned to take the night off the Internet but I had not planned it well. I did manage to get some reading though. I am enjoying the Star Wars book so much that I am reading it at any opportunity that I get.

I then folded up the nappies that I washed the other day and put out the clothes that I had washed today before getting ready for the night shift. I am going to read for another half an hour though before I go to bed.

Updating Wolfies WebPage and creating WebPages for the twins

The night shift went really well. They both settled off really nicely in their baskets again and they slept for some time before I needed to feed them. I am afraid to say that I could not be bothered in the end trying to get them settled back in their baskets. I will do that but it will have to be another night.

In the morning I fed them before I got out of bed. I woke up quite early so I was able to get this done and still get up quite early for breakfast.

The morning went well. I was able to get the nappy wash out onto the line to dry. I would say it was a really funky spring day. It was not really warm but there was a warmth and freshness in the air that you get with spring.

When Devil boy took his daughter he also then went to watch the football at his friends house. I changed the twins and then tried to get Wolfie off for a nap. After I fed Elbereth I failed to get Wolfie off for a nap so I brought him through and got his lunch.

Mum phoned me tell me about how dad has been getting on. He is having a relay good day today. They managed to get to the next town and dad went into the pub that he usually goes in and he had a cup of tea there. When they got home he walked down to the local club that he is on the committee. He saw some of his friends and then walked home. I think it is brilliant how well he is getting on. He is really nicely recovering well. It will be good for him that not only is he home but also that it is spring. He loves the spring and the summer.

Mum then asked me if I had put some new pictures of Wolfie and the twins on the website. I was a bit annoyed at first. I have so much to do and barely any time to get them done in. I just do not have the time to sort out the photos. I then thought about it and it seemed a shame that she can not see new photos of them as she will not get to see them for a while. Thankfully Wolfie was a wonderful boy and I not only managed to sort out choosing the photographs that I would use but I also managed to rename, resize and upload the pictures. I then was able to create WebPages for the twins and sort out photographs of them. The time that I spent sorting out these though unfortunately meant that I did not really pay attention to the Formula one in the TV so I missed what was going on. Though I am glad that I have managed to do all of the hard work today. This will mean that updating the pictures will be a lot easier in the future and take hardly any time from now on. I am very happy with what I have done today.

After I had done that I made a snack for Wolfie and I and shortly after we had finished that Devil boy got back in from his friends house. He then made dinner and took Wolfie through for his bath and put him to bed. Thankfully he settled off to sleep funkily tonight. While he settled him off to sleep I managed to get the washing out of the machine and out onto the radiators and after he had settled him off I then cleaned and gave the carpet a good hover. Now that Wolfie is mainly feeding himself he is making an interesting mess of the living room. He is rally getting good at feeding himself now. Even with messy foods such as porridge and soup.

I decided that I would have a night off the computer again. I had planned on having a bath and then reading followed by a few competitions.

The start of the night did not go well. As I was changing the twins Devil boy tried something with the computer. It unfortunately did not work and he then had a lot of problems with his computer. He was cursing himself a lot and not in a good mood. He managed to get things back to how they were thankfully so I was able to relax and read while feeding the twins. The book has suddenly taken a very funky twist and one that I was not expecting. I am really enjoying the book.

I decided to cancel the bath in the end as I will not have time for a nice soak and I will get that tomorrow night instead and I will have another night off the computers to get my competitions done as well as read for a bit. I am hoping to get the book finished in the next week. I have already decided what the next Star Wars book that I am going to order is.

The twins have settled off nicely now so I am going to relax and read for the next half an hour before I need to get ready for the night shift.

Devil boys mum and dad visiting

The night shift went really well. The twins during the night settled off early to sleep and I managed to get some snood sleep before I needed to bring Elbereth into bed with me.

They had a couple of feeds during the night but the settled quickly after.

I woke up early and fed the twins before I got up. I then fed Wolfie and I and as Devil boy was slightly hung over I changed Wolfie so that he got a rest from it. When Devil boy got up he helped me sort out the twins.

The rest of the morning went well and I managed to get Wolfie off for a nap and while he was napping I fed the twins.

Devil boys mum and dad are up for a few days. They took Wolfie out for a bit in the afternoon and I sorted out the nappy wash and fed the twins again before I went over to Devil boys grandmas house. I also managed to scan some pictures of Devil boy when he was a child. He looked really cute and so much like Wolfie.

I had a good afternoon over there and it is nice to see Wolfie enjoying himself with Devil boys mum and dad. I lost track of the time but thankfully they made Wolfie and I some dinner before I came back home. They took Wolfie in the car, which made getting back easier for me as I only had the twins to push in the pram.

When I got back Wolfie and Devil boys daughter played for a bit before he went for his bath and then bed.

Wolfie did not settle off to sleep first time though. When I went through to him I had to change his nappy and cuddle him lots before he settled off. He thankfully still self-settled though. He has been very grumpy at times today. The poor wee poppet gets himself so wound up that he is inconsolable. I unfortunately snapped at him a couple of times but I became frustrated when I could not soothe him. I think it is because of his cold.

I just need to run about getting ready for bed before I take the twins though. I will take them though earlier due to Devil boy’s daughter staying over tonight so that they can get to sleep before it is too late.

I am also going to try and get the twins to settle to sleep during the night in their baskets/. It will mean that I have to properly feed them during the night which will be a challenge but I think it will be worth it if I can get them to settle in their baskets during the night.

Getting a good start with the decluttering

The night shift went really well. I managed to get both Elbereth and Malach to settle in their baskets when I took them through to the back room and they slept well before I needed to feed them. I had a good sleep and even though I got up later than I would have liked I must have n3eeded the sleep.

I made up for getting up late though and I managed to get a lot done. Devil boy then took Wolfie to his grandmas house which meant I was able to get more done. I did a little work in the kitchen and I then started work on the cupboard in the hall as the twins were sleeping. I managed to make a good start on that. I made a good pile for the paper recycle bucket and I was able to throw a few things out as well.

I was just tidying around Devil boys computer table when they got back from his grandmas. He said he would have stayed longer but his uncle was there and not only does he not like him but Wolfie is also really scared of him. Devil boy told me that as soon as he saw his uncle he clung onto Devil boy really tightly. I was not too happy with Devil boy’s grandma though. I think she is really funky but I am not happy that she called Wolfie a cissy. She called him that because he was scared of D3evil boys uncle. I thought that was unfair of her and thankfully Devil boy said that he told her that as well.

I then went out in the afternoon. I needed to get more currents for Wolfie. He is really enjoying eating them at the moment so while he is enjoying them I am feeding him lots of them.

The rest of the afternoon went well and I managed to spend time with Wolfie as well as seeing to the twins. I had fun chasing Wolfie around his bedroom and tickling him. It was funny, as he would not let me sit down for more than a few seconds before he was dragging me off my chair and taking me through to his room.

Wolfie settled off to sleep perfectly again and after he had off Devil boy went up to his brothers for a night in with his friends and brother. I then fed and changed the twins and went for a lovely soak in the bath.

I had brought through some books from Wolfie room into the twins room. I am in the process of finding them a new home. I noticed that earlier on that Wolfie had managed to get his hands on them and put them somewhere. At the time I was not sure where they were. Though while I was about to put Malachs nappy into the bucket I discovered where Wolfie had put the books. I was so relieved though that the nappy bucket was empty of nappies when he put the books in and also that I had cleaned it out when I last took the last lot of nappies put of it. I will make sure that not only are the books moved as soon as possible but also that the nappy bucket is as well.

I have spend the rest of the night just relaxing and listening to the radio. While I have not had a night off the computer I have not been on it that much and I am going to have an early night to make sure that I can get up in the morning to look after Wolfie while Devil boy no doubt has a hangover.

Another good night shift and a funky productive afternoon

The night shift went really well. The twins again fed well during the night and when I took them through to the back room they had both settled in their baskets so I was able to get some good sleep before they woke and needed feeding during the night.

They settled quickly during the night and I managed to get up at around 9.30 in the morning.

After I got breakfast for Wolfie and me I got the twins ready and put some washing in. I then went to the shop to get Take a break and Chat and came back to get the twins ready for homestart. Devil boy got Wolfie ready.

The homestart minibus was a little late this week. This meant that I was able to put the washing out on the radiators and fold some of the things up.

The group went really well this afternoon. I managed to get some of the competitions done from this weeks magazines which I have not been able to for a while. On of the women who works at the place was making a fuss over the twins and was really happy when Elbereth eventually woke up so she could make a fuss of her. I managed to weigh myself this week and I was happy to see that this week I had managed to lose some weight. I am really pleased with myself as I had a bad day yesterday. Wolfie also looked like he really enjoyed himself as well.

When I got back I fed the twins and then I set about doing some cleaning in the back room, some cleaning in the kitchen and then I cleaned the bathroom. I am really pleased at what I have managed to get done today. I have made the most of the time that they were asleep, as I knew that the night would be busy dealing with them.

After dinner I spent time with Wolfie and we played games on the Internet. He was really beginning to get crabby though but thankfully it was not for long as he was taken to the bath and then to bed. Devil boy told me that as he left the room he waved goodnight to him as he was turning over. That is so sweet.

The twins were stirring at this point so I changed and fed Elbereth and then went for a lovely soak in the bath.

Since getting out I have changed Malach and fed him and all I have to do before the night shift starts is clean up a little, reply to friends E-Mails and fill out the child benefit application form for the twins.

The twins 6 – 8 week check up

The night shift went really well. The twins took really good feeds and they both settled in their baskets. They slept well for a few hours before Malach needed feeding and then Elbereth needed feeding.

I managed to get up at 9 and get breakfast for Wolfie and I. I then got the twins changed and ready to get out by just gone 10. I had thankfully remembered to take them to their 6-8 week check up.

I unfortunately could not find their red books but I have managed to remember that Malach is now 9lb 2oz and is now 53 cm long. Elbereth is 8lb and 54cm long. I am really pleased with how well they are getting on. My health visitor noticed that Elbereth has got a little dry skin at the top of her nose so she has given me some cream for that.

I them went through to see the paediatrician after a short wait. She checked their eyes, hearts and their bits. Thankfully they were both funky with all of the things and neither of them have a heart murmur like what Wolfie had. I am really glad that they are both funky though and getting on so well. It gives me confidence that I am getting on well and getting things right. They settled off to sleep as soon as they had been checked.

After I got out I went to get some fruit and I went to visit my friend for a bit. We chatted for a bit and I had some lunch there before I went home. Though being at my friend’s house has made me realise that I now would like to live in a house as well. I do not want to move yet as I seriously need to declutter before I do that but I think it would be really funky to live in a house and of course ultimately a house where all three children can get their own room.

When I got back home I rinsed the clothes in the washing machine and got Wolfie some lunch ready and then had a quick look around for the birth certificates of the twins.

Devil boy’s daughter came around in the afternoon and her and Wolfie ran about like loons screaming like nutters. The afternoon went well and I was able to get quite a few jobs done while the twins slept. I put the washing out and put a nappy wash in.

I suddenly remembered something. Last night when I was trying to get to sleep I thought of an area to check where I had not checked before. I went and checked there and not only were the twins red books thee but also their birth certificates. I am really pleased/. I am going to phone up and get some new forms sent out to us in the morning so I can then get them sent off as soon as possible.

The rest of the afternoon went well with Devil boy’s daughter and Wolfie being mad and screaming a lot. Our household does go quite crazy for a few hours on a Wednesday.

After Wolfie settled off to sleep I browsed the Internet a little before I cleaned up the kitchen a little and then got my magazines ready for the night. I have decided that as I have got behind with competitions I would spend tonight just filling out competitions and another night off the computer. I really enjoyed it and managed to get a lot filled out I have really managed to catch up. I had to miss some competitions getting sent off but I decided that I would so that I would have a good chance to catch up. Now that I am caught up I am hoping that I will not fall behind again. I have my fingers crossed even tighter that I will win one of the funky prizes. I have decided that tomorrow I am going to finish the E-Mail to send off to Take a break with my birth story in it. I have done the story and I just need to add some photos, which I will get taken tomorrow.

I am really enjoying my nights off from the computer and I am going to start getting things done at night. I am gong to restart my collages soon. I have a collage to make for a friend that I should have done a while ago.

I have a few things to clean up and sort out before I take the twins through for the night shift.

Busy looking but a better evening relaxing and reading

The night shift did not go well for me last night. I felt really quite down for a while as I had so much to do and not very much time to do it in. I am feeling at the moment that I am kind of working too much to a timetable and have no time to myself at all. The nights go by too quickly and I never have any time to get things done. I do not think that it helped that both of the twins were really unsettled all night. I also had heartburn. I do think that this affected the twins, as I do not think it was just a coincidence that they were very unsettled.

There was a problem with my computer, which has meant that most of my bookmarked websites have been lost. I am really glad that I saved them onto a Word document ages ago so I know where to get hold of them.

They were still up at 2 in the morning but I took them through so Devil boy could get some sleep. I managed to get Elbereth settled and Malach was obviously not going to settle so I put him alongside me. I needed to get a sleep as well.

Even though I had a disturbed sleep I did not feel too badly when I got up. I also did not get up too late. I also realised that I also have to locate the missing child benefit forms for the twins to send them off as soon as possible. Though unfortunately I realised that I did not know where their birth certificates had gone to so my next most important task is to locate them. I will even have to put off the kitchen project to do that.

I spent the rest of the morning ordering a food shop form Tesco and the most of the after noon sorting though stuff in the back room. I managed to find a lot of stuff to go in the recycle bucket though which has cleared space and sort through some more clothes but unfortunately no birth certificates or forms. I am not too bothered about the forms though as we can get them sent out to us but it is essential that I find their birth certificates.

During the day I had a though about the heartburn that I had the night before and which was still slightly lingering on for most of today. I think it was the muffins that we ate last night that gave me the heartburn. I have decided that they are to go as well as the biscuits. Though they need to go as part of my vegan diet. I have been looking on the Internet for recipes. I have found some really funky recipes and I will get some ingredients from Tesco. I will add them onto the order that I have already placed. As the order will not be delivered until Thursday I will be able to do that. I am sure that freshly baked muffins will taste so much nicer than the shop muffins and I will know exactly what has gone into them.

After I had dinner I had another look around while I was tidying up. I needed dot clear the mess that I had made during the day so that I had a bed to sleep tonight. I had decided last night as I was trying to get to sleep that I would take a night off the computer and read my Star Wars book. I am enjoying the story but I have not had chance to read it. I am also in need of taking a break from the computer and resting a little.

Wolfie settled off to sleep perfectly and I decided that before I started reading I would have a quick bath. This turned into a lovely soak, as the bath was too lovely to get out of quickly.

After I got out I fed Elbereth while reading and then had some beans on toast for supper before changing and feeding Malach while reading. I really have enjoyed my night off the computer and I think I am going to do this much more often. In fact I think most nights for the time being will be spent off the computer. It will give me the time to get the things that I need to get done and time to read again. I must admit that I have real missed reading and I much prefer reading to watching TV.

The twins have been so much better tonight and even though Elbereth has cried for a little she has now settled off along with Malach so I am going to rest for a little before getting ready for bed. I am feeling a lot more relaxed than yesterday. The difference between a good day and a challenging day are poles apart. I am now making the most of my good night and getting some relaxing time where I do nothing but something that I enjoy doing.

Managing to get out and about in the snow but leaving Wolfie at home today

The night shift went quite well. Malach not surprisingly enough did not want to settle so he ended up in bed alongside me again. I am sure that we will get it sorted out though. At the moment I am just taking it one night at a time. I am going to have to sort out a routine at some point son but I have so many things to do at the moment so it will have to wait a few days.

I did not sleep too well though unfortunately. While the twins settled off to sleep nicely after being fed I struggled to get back to sleep and I then struggled to get up in the morning. I got up around 10.30 to find that Wolfie had broken our DVD player this morning when trying to put his Bob the builder DVD in.

The morning went well and I decided that I would not take Wolfie to the rhyme and time in the afternoon, as I do not really have any appropriate clothes to put on him. I decided to take the twins along though. My funky pram has big wheels on it, which cut through the snow easily. It was also good for exercise. The group in the afternoon went really well though and I am glad that I made it. I will take Wolfie along next week though.

When I got back I found that Devil boy had cleaned the kitchen. He had done a really funky job. There was still my recycle corner to sort out and as the twins were asleep I decided to make a start on that. There is a lot of clutter in the kitchen and it is too small for there to be clutter in. I have decided that all stuff that should not be in the kitchen needs to have a new home.

I have made a good start and I will continue to get what I can get done when I can get it done.

The rest of the afternoon went well and Devil boy made dinner and afterward I managed to both feed Elbereth and manage with Wolfie perched on the edge of the chair while cuddling me.

Wolfie settled off to sleep nicely as per usual and after he had settled off to sleep I have spent most of the night dealing with the twins and replying to messages and E-mails.

I do not know where the time has gone. I had a lot of things that I wanted to get done but the only thing I have managed to get done is fold up nappies. Time is just going too quickly. I wish evenings would not go so quickly. I just have to change Elbereth nappy and hopefully settle her off before I crash. I am beginning to flag now.

An unexpected guest

The night shift went well. They both settled for a while before I brought them into bed with me. They slept well and woke occasionally for feeds.

I did get a shock when in the morning Devil boy came in to tell me that a dog had been wandering about in our garden. He had brought him into the house but he smelled and was thin.

I got up and went through. Our cat has been scared and was outside but the dog looked in such a state that our cat would be all right to stay outside for a short while. The dog looked very thin and was shaking as well as not smelling that nice.

He was sniffing around the floor for any bits of food and ate anything that iut was given. It even ate pear and toast. We could not put the poor thing outside. The snow that had been forces had happened and there was a lot of snow outside and it was also snowing heavily. Devil boy was phoning around all the places possible and anyone he knew to see if anyone would have him as we could not keep him for long due to our cat.

The dog was really good around Wolfie and the twins though which was funky. Wolfie was stroking him and following him about a bit.

I managed to get Wolfie off for a nap and sort the twins out. Elbereth’s thrush is not really clearing unfortunately and seems to be getting worse again. I have decided to put her in disposable nappies to see if that helps it healing. Maybe keeping the wee away from her skin will help.

After Wolfie had got up in the afternoon and about an hour after we had lunch there was a knock at the door. It was the dog’s owner. He told us that he had taken the dog out for a walk and while the dog was off his lead he had got involved in a fight with another dog and bolted. He had been looking for him and was on his last search for him when he had found out that we had got him and he had then came around to collect him.

It was strange not having the dog around though. Even though he had not been here for long I had got used to him being there.

After the dog had gone I went out to the shops and got a few things that we needed. On the way back I called in at my friends house for a short while. I stayed there for about an hour before I went home.

We had dinner and then Wolfie went for a bath and the to bed. He settled off funkily tonight.
I have spent the rest of the night putting out the nappies onto the radiators and sorting the twins ready fro the day shift. I have been lapse with my diet and eaten too many biscuits so I must make sure that I try and be better from tomorrow. I have decided that for the next month I am not eating any biscuits at all. I really have to get back on track for losing weight. I am going to look out for my exercises and tone up my stomach as well. I am looking forward to fitting into my old clothes again.

Still getting agitated in the morning but not as bad as yesterday

The night shift was quite challenging. The twins would not settle all night. I think they must be going through some sort of a growth spurt because not matter how much I fed them or winded them they would not settle.

I eventually managed to get them to settle at around 2am. I was pleased that they settled in their baskets. Unfortunately Elbereth became unsettled at around 2.30 so I just put her into bed along me. Thankfully she settled off to sleep nicely after that.

Devil boy came in at 3am from his brother’s house. He was quite a bit drunk. I do not know why but it took me a while after that to get back to sleep. Even though I felt tired I also felt awake.

I got up later in the morning that I had wanted but at least I managed to get a good sleep.

The morning went quite well. I felt agitated in the morning and I snapped at Wolfie a few times but I said sorry and I kissed and cuddled Wolfie afterward.

Thankfully I calmed down quickly after that and I was able to change and feed the twins. They then settled after that. Devil boy’s daughter was keeping Wolfie entertained running about with him so I was able to browse the internet.

I managed to get Wolfie off for a nap in the afternoon and while he napped I went through to the back room and started sorting through the twins clothes. The clothes are in a little bit of a mess and I also have to sort out the older clothes so that I know where they are. I have no idea where I am going to store them though at the moment. My plan will be to declutter the shed and then I will be able to put them in there. While I was sorting the clothes out I needed to have a lemsip as I am not feeling that good at the moment. I felt dizzy and my head was stuffy. My cough is also taking hold.

After Wolfie got up I needed to o out the shop to get more Soya milk. I went out without the twins this time as it meant that I could get out quicker. I managed to get what I needed and when I got back I made my dinner and afterward Devil boy took Wolfie through for his bath.

Unusually though Wolfie did not settle off to sleep strait away so I managed to get to read to him again. I am almost at the end of the first book in Lord of the rings. I am really enjoying reading it. When I first read it I read it quickly and I think I missed a lot as I sled read through it. I enjoyed it but I did not take in as much as I have done this time. I am going to have to make sure that I read the book more often.
After that Wolfie settled off without a problem and I then changed the twins and fed them ready to take through. As Devil boy’s daughter is stopping over tonight I will need to take them through earlier than usual.

Losing my temper

The night shift went well. Malach decided that he was not going to settle though so I am going to have to get tough with him and have some late nights so that he learns that he needs to settle in his basket at night. It was amusing though when he was feeding even though I was coughing lots he did not even flinch.

The night shift went well and Elbereth woke at around 3.30 but she settled quickly.

The twins took some feeds between 6am and 9.30 when I woke up properly. I fed Elbereth and went through to get breakfast. I needed to go out to the shop to get more porridge. We are all eating porridge so we are going through a lot of it at the moment.

The morning did not go too badly. I was sorting out the twins and I am not sure why I felt really agitated. I think Devil boy felt the same too and we just seemed to wind each other up. I lost my temper in the end and it was the worst that it has been for a while. I threw Wolfies potty across the room causing a crack in it and then as I was so mad with myself for getting mad I then smashed up the potty in frustration.

I was not happy with myself though for allowing myself to lose my temper like that. Wolfie was not upset but it is getting to the point where my temper will become an influence. Both my mum and dad are short tempered and Devil boys mum is short tempered. I know that if I carry on like I am at the moment all three of them are in danger of ending up like us. I really do not want this, as I really do not like my short temper. I have come so far with it but there are some things that need to be ironed out. I am confident that I will get it done. I have now posted on the Internet for any tips for keeping cool and I am going to start meditating soon.

By the early afternoon though I was feeling much better. I also made sure that Wolfie saw me giving Devil boys a hug to say sorry for how I was earlier on. Wolfie liked that ands he wanted a hug as well.

I needed to go out to the shops again to get some lentils. I am planning on making lentil fritters for Wolfie but I was a bit short on lentils. Elbereth needed lots of feeding before I left but I took them out in the funky huge pram.

I called in at the charity shop on the way up and collected some clothes for my collages and I saw that they had got new frames in so I managed to get 6 funky new frames. I am really looking forward to making some new collages. I am going to start on a collage in the next few days for a friend.

The rest of the afternoon went well after I got back and I have been sending and receiving a few E-Mails from my friend today. It is really funky that I have met such a funky friend through the groups that I go to with Wolfie.

I made some soup for Wolfie and I for his dinner. He does not seem to be eating that much though so while he over the worst he still has some of the cold. I got some fruit when I was out so I was happy when he ate that. He really enjoyed the plums. He likes all the fruits that he has tried.

After Devil boy settled Wolfie off to sleep he went up to his brothers house for a few drinks. I actually like it when he goes out as I relax and listen to the radio show that I like and I potter about getting jobs done.

I managed to have a lovely soak in the bath tonight. After I got out I change, fed and winded the twins. They were very unsettled tonight and I fed them both and winded them lots. They just did not seem ready to settle.

In the end I had to get some jobs done so I left them to cry for a bit. I just had to clear the big pram out of the kitchen (I do not want Devil boy to trip up over it) and organise the dishes into a pole to wash tomorrow and wipe the asides. I was then able to put all of the clothes and nappies into a pile and take them into the back room ready for sorting out tomorrow. I noticed that there was some damp in the back room again so I will make sure that I sort that out as soon as I have had breakfast and sorted out the twins.

After I did this I changed the twins and put them in their baskets while I wrote my journal. Thankfully as I was writing it they settled off to sleep. Malach is beginning to stir again but I will be able to see to him and hopefully get him to settle in his basket. I am hoping that I will be able to do it as I am beginning to flag and my back is aching.

I have got Wolfies cold on top of a chaotic afternoon

The night shift went well. Though Malach decided that he would not settle off in his basket so I had him alongside me. The rest of the shift went well and while they woke up for a feed during the night they settled off funkily.

I did not hear Wolfie in the morning and after I got up and had breakfast I got the twins changed, dressed and fed ready for Homestart to arrive.

Wolfie birthday present arrived in the morning so I passed the presents for him to open. He really enjoyed the presents that mum and dad got for him. There was also some funky things for the twins as well and mum had sent up the old alarm clock that I used to have when I lived with them. It was really funky seeing it again so I have would it up ready to take into my bedroom.

I have picked up the cold that Wolfie has got though but it is thankfully just a runny nose. I managed to remember the DVD that I was going to lend my friend. She had also got some things for Devil boy’s daughter. Her oldest daughter had not opened and had been in the cupboard for ages when she decided that she needed to get rid of them. She also got a pack that they had not used. My friend had not got the time to do the things with her daughter and there would be useful things for my collages in it. I thought that was really funky of her.

The group went really well and when I went to pick Wolfie up he looked like he had enjoyed himself. Though I am not sure when they fed them during their snack as Wolfie seemed a bit hyper. He was like that for a while after but thankfully he called down quickly.

The rest of the afternoon was rather chaotic. Wolfies toys were all over the floor and I kept tripping over them. I am going to have to take some of his toys out of the living room and put them in his room.

I then needed to change, feed and wind the twins. While I was feeding the twins Wolfie was climbing all over me and while he was trying to climb up me he was pinching me rather painfully. After I had fed the twins I made my dinner and then while I was trying to eat it in peace I had Wolfie trying to climb all over me again. I then rushed my dinner a little and felt sick for some time afterward.

Thankfully after Wolfie went to bed I was able to relax a little. I cleared his toys; spoke to mum and then I fed them both.

Mum seemed down on the phone. I think it was because she was not only not able to get Wolfies present to him on time (which is totally understandable as she has got so much to do at the moment) but also for the fact that she can not give them to him in person. It is a shame that we live so far apart. I am hoping though that once I have saved up for a car I will be able to visit more often.

The twins have been good during the night though and I have been able to rest and browse the Internet. I have been looking around J K Rowling’s official site as there have been some updates so II have been seeing what has changed and I have been looking for clues for things about the Horcruxes in Harry Potter.

Though the cold that started this morning is now beginning to really take hold. I now have a sore throat and I have a very tickly dry cough and I have been sneezing a lot. I have almost lost my voice now. Thankfully though apart from that I am feeling funky so I am hoping that in a few days I will begin to feel better.

I have got a few things to sort out before I take them through for the night shift but I am hoping that I can get them settled in their baskets tonight.

A funky productive day and all three of my children have been angels

The night shift went well for us. Wolfie was really good and did not wake until gone 6 in the morning, which is really funky as it shows that he is truly on the road to recovery.

The twins were not too bad. I fed and changed Elbereth and when I came to changing and feeding Malach I must confess that I could not be bothered to settle him in his basket so I brought him into bed with me as I was so tired. I know that was bad of me so I am going to make sure that it is a one off as I really do not want to make a rod for my own back. Getting Wolfie into a good nighttime routine was a real challenge but we got him into a funky routine eventually and I have learned from it. I just need to make sure that I do not accidentally fall into the same trap this time.

I got up at a reasonable time but I still struggled to get out of bed but I am hoping that after a few days of taking vitamin supplements I will begin to feel much brighter.

The morning went well and I put on Cbeebies for Wolfie. He enjoyed it but he kept going to the DVD player and asking for his Bob the builder DVD. Well I say asking it was really him pointing to the eject button on the player and saying Botty.

The afternoon went well as well. The Tesco order arrived and Wolfie and I ate quite a bit of fruit while Devil boy was out. I am really getting confident at dealing with the three of them on my own. I am really feeling confident that when Devil boy goes to the download festival for three days I will get along funkily with all three.

Devil boy’s daughter came around in the afternoon. I gave her the Harry Potter book. I think it is brilliant that she is taking an interest in reading books and I am hoping that she will enjoy reading the book as much as I do. She likes the Harry Potter films and she loves the character Dobby. I warned her that the book would be different to the film so that she is prepared.

The twins have been really funky today. In fact they have been complete angels. They have taken good feeds and they have slept for a while as well in-between feeds which has meant that I have been able to spend time with Wolfie, browse the Internet and wash the nappies.

Devil boy went to his friend s after Wolfie settled off to sleep to help him sort out broadband on his computer.

While he was out my friend called. I have been meaning to call her for a few days but I have misplaced my phone so I cannot find her phone number. We had a really good chat. It is strange how things turn out, I have been so lucky with my friend though that as we have change through life we have changed in the same sort of direction. We both became mothers at around the same time (Even though my pregnancy was not planned I could not have planned it better) and even though we do not speak as often as we like we understand and she was telling me how she is barely drinking at all now. I am also feeling the same and I am considering becoming teetotal. It is funky that our lives are following the same sort of paths without our meaning for it to be. I will have been friends with her for 20 years this year and while we have had our ups and downs she is still a funky friend. I got her E-ail address tonight so we should hopefully be able to keep in touch more often when we cannot phone. I am also looking forward to saving up for a car so I can get to visit her more often.

I just have a few jobs to do tonight before I get ready for the nighttime shift. I managed to get a lot done during the day so there is not too much to clean tonight. (I must admit that I am proud of how good the hall looks now)

A hectic morning and a funky afternoon

The night shift went well last night. I managed to get all of the things that I needed to get ready and not too late.

When I took them through they just needed feeding and then settling off. I reads them some more of the Star Wars book to Malach and a little of it to Elbereth. I am making good progress with the book now and it definitely is getting interesting now. I am really enjoying it. It is really well written and I love the relationship between Luke and Mara Jade.

Malach settled off in his basket but it was Elbereth’s turn tonight not to settle in her basket. I brought her alongside me. Though I am going to make a better effort at getting them to settle off tonight.

Wolfie woke up at 3am this morning, which was not too bad considering that he has not been well recently. I also then managed to get a good lie in. Though I did struggle to get up which was not so good.

I had planned on getting out of the house with all three of them by 1pm. It was going well at the beginning. I put Wolfie off for a nap and I washed the twins using the top and tail bowl that I have. I then got them dressed and went to read to Wolfie to get hi off for a nap.

Unfortunately though today he did not get off for a nap and I was a little off with him. I felt really bad afterward as he had been giggling and happy with me. I should have just accepted that it was one of those things and that at least he was not grumpy with me.

I was in a flap for a few minutes as I run about the living room quickly clearing Wolfies toys up (I like to see them cleared up for at least some time during the day) and then I made some soup for us and then I fed the twins. Thankfully my flap did not last long. Wolfie did not seem interested in his soup today so after I had eaten my lunch I got the twins ready and I rushed out of the house. I decided that as Wolfie had not had a nap I would leave him at home.

I left the house at around 2.45 and I was glad that Wolfie was not with me as it was drizzling. I will have to get an umbrella for him at some point. By the tie that I had got up to my friends house I was quite wet but she liked the tops that I had chosen for her and while I remember I also managed to get her E-Mail address again. Hat is the third time that I have had it as the first time I lost the paper it was written on, the second time I lost the book it was written in and thankfully it was third time lucky.

I then went along to the clinic to pick up the prescription for the twins medication. My health visitor confirmed that they did have oral thrush so I got the gel for them before going home. While I was wanting for the prescription I noticed that there were multivitamin and iron tablet. I also got those to give my system a boost. I am hoping that I will not feel so tired with more iron in my system.

I bumped into my friend on the way home and we stood and chatted for a bit before I set off home.

Wolfie was really good when I got home and he ate his dinner nicely. We have started putting food out on a plate for him rather than just giving him food off our plate and he is really getting along funkily with that.

He settled off to bed really nicely and I fed and changed the twins before mum phoned me. She told me that dad had had a good day today. He had eaten well and felt good in himself. The nurse is coming around in the morning to change his dressing. She is hoping that he will begin to have more good days like today.

I then had a soak in the bath. I have found that recently that I need to have a bath every night as if I do not I feel dirty. The twins are asleep and I am about to get some supper before getting ready for the night shift.

Wolfie had a bad night due to not being well

The night shift did not go too well. Wolfie woke several times with a very runny nose. I gave him some Calpol but his nose kept running so at 2am I took him though to Devil boy.

The twins had settled by this time though and I was able to get a good sleep before they woke up again.

Wolfie had unfortunately had a disturbed sleep and as both Devil boy and I are feeling tired we have decided to make sure that we get an early night in case Wolfie has another disturbed night.

After I had got up and had breakfast I started sorting the twins out when my heath visitor came around for my postnatal depression check. I filled out the things and I had a score of 4, which I think is really good. I also feel confident enough to say that I think I am over the worst of my depression and ready to say that I no longer ha ve depression. It is a big step but I am so proud of myself and how far I have come. I have bad days from time to time but then again who doesn’t.

I asked the heath visitor to have a look at Wolfie when she was here and asked her whether or not I should take him to the rhyme and time group in the afternoon. After we watched him we both decided that I should nit take him. He did not seem too bad but we both felt that he would not have made the walk there and back and it would have been too much for him.

I took the twins to the group as I was hoping to see my friend. Though when I got there she was not there. I will call around at her house tomorrow and see what the matter was.

The group went really well. Elbereth was awake this week. She took a really good feed and then went back to sleep. There were two new women at the group this week and at the end of the chat we all had a really good chat about all sorts of things. I really enjoyed it this week.

When I got back I managed to get some cleaning up done and make the Tesco food order. After we had dinner I played some games on Cbeebies with Wolfie and then I fed Malach and Elbereth.

Wolfie was really tired bless him and he settled off to sleep without any problems. I then started getting things ready so that I could have an early night. I then spotted something that worried me. I saw a packet of paracetamol that had fallen on the floor (It must have been dragged out when Wolfie pulled his birthday cards from behind one of the speakers) I am sure that he has not eaten any (I am sure that he would spit it out as it would taste horrible) but it has made me realise how easy accidents can happen and you have to be especially vigilant and especially with medicine. I have not moved them well out of his reach and I am going to keep an eye on him over the next 24hours and if I see anything that I do not feel happy about I am going to get him checked over.

Mum phoned me up and let me know how dad is getting on. He is settling back home and getting on really nicely new. It is going to be a slow recovery but it is good that he is recovering. He has a nasty cough though which he is trying to shake at the moment. Mum also said that he is also worried for being home as if something happens in hospital the nurses are there strait away but it is not like that at home. I am sure that after a few nights of feeling better he will sleep more soundly.

I have made good progress tonight though and I have cleaned the kitchen and one of the corners in the living room. I am sure that I will be able to get the twins into the back room early and let Devil boy have a good night’s rest.

Happy birthday Wolfie

The night shift went really well. I managed to get them though into the back room at a reasonable time so that Devil boys daughter could get a good sleep before Wolfie got up.

When I took them though they were both crying so I sorted them out one at a time. I fed them both, winded them and changed them before feeding them gain and getting them settled. I also read my Star Wars book while doing this. It is really well written and I am enjoying it.

At around 12.30 though Wolfie woke up again. Thankfully he settled back after a quick cuddle. I was then able to go back through and see to the twins.

I was really happy as I managed to get them settled in their baskets and I got some sleep before I had to deal with them but I managed to get a good sleep.

It is odd because I normally hear Wolfie in the morning when he wakes but for the last three mornings Devil boy has hear him in the morning. I heard Wolfie and Devil boy’s daughter running about and I managed to get up at just gone 9 in the morning, which I was really pleased about. I still got a good sleep but I also got up nice and early.

I sorted out breakfast for myself, Wolfie and Devil boys daughter and I m gave Wolfie one of his birthday presents to open. It was a Bob the builder DVD. I put it on for him to watch.

The rest of the morning went well and I managed to get Wolfie off for a nap. The twins also cooperated and slept for long enough for me to be able to clean the kitchen and bake the cake for Wolfies birthday. It went really well and I felt really proud of myself for doing it. It also tasted really nice when I got to try part of it.

When Devil boy got back in the afternoon after taking his daughter home. I gave Wolfie the rest of his presents to open and after he had managed to do that we lit the candles of his cake and he bless he managed to blow out one of the candles. He was nervous of the candles but we got there in the end. The cake was really nice.

The rest of the afternoon went really well and after I had fed the twins and got them settled I sat at the computer with Wolfie on my knee while I played games for him on the Cbeebies website. I really had fun and I enjoyed telling him a bluecow story. It was quite strange as I was listening to one of my favourite radio shows in the background (the blue room) He stayed happily on my knee until he was taken for his bath and then off to bed. He once again settled really funkily.

I then had a soak in the bath and spent the rest of the night browsing the Internet and relaxing. I am also going to write something about the first two years of motherhood and all of the challenges that we have faced and how I have changed, I had a good think about it while I was soaking in the bath and I thought it would be funky to write it down so that Wolfie can see it when he gets older. I have a few things to do before I take the twins thorough to the back room. Wolfie has just woken up though so I need to make sure I settle him off first.

Getting ready for Wolfies birthday

The night shift went well. Both of them were settled in their basket when I went to bed. I even managed to sleep for some time before I needed to get up and see to one of the twins.

There was a knock at the door at around 7 am with a couple of parcels with birthday presents for Wolfie. I also fed the twins and managed to get some more sleep.

I really struggled to get out of bed though. It took me ages to wake up. I got though and got breakfast for both Wolfie and I before I went to deal with the twins.

Wolfie had got up early this morning so I put him for a nap in-between changing and feeding the twins. I managed to get Wolfie off for a nap and as soon as I did this I went though and fed the twins and went out to the shops.

I got a birthday cake mix and cooking chocolate for the topping. I am looking forward to baking it. I will make it in the morning as once the mix has been made up it will only take 10 minutes bake. I am cheating by using a packet ix but it will be good to get back into the habit of baking again as it has been a long time since I last baked.

When I got back in I cleaned the kitchen. While I was cleaning it up I decided to quickly go over to Devil boys grandmas house to pick up Wolfies birthday present. On the way over I saw one of my friends husband. The have been having problems with their car and it would have cost too much to get it repaired so they have bought a new car. They managed to get a second hand car for just over £400. I asked him where he got it from and he told me that he saw it on Auto trader online. I am going to have a look on there to see what cars I might be able to drive. I am going to check but I think I might be able to drive a Reliant Kitten. I will check with the DVLZ first.

When I got to his grandmas house I saw one of her sons dive below the window and as I walked toward the door I heard the door click. I knew the door would be locked but I knocked and tr3eid to open the door as I usually do. The door was locked but I knew that he was behind the door and I saw him hiding. So I kept knocking. I was really annoyed as it not his house and not up to him to decided who enters and who does not.

Devil boy’s grandma was in the bathroom thankfully and she opened the door and let me in. I stayed for a while and we had a good chat and a cup of tea before I went back home.

When I got back I had to change and feed the twins. Devil boy got dinner sorted out for both Wolfie and I. I spoke to my mum on the phone while Wolfie sat quietly on my lap. I thought that was really funky.

He went for his bath and I got his bedtime things ready and cleared the radiators and quickly put them away. I also managed to then clear the toys up and put the nappies into wash. I also managed to get some plastic pants washed which is not a pleasant job but I unfortunately could not put it off any longer. With our old washing machine I could put them in there, but with our new machine I cannot do that as they get wrecked.

Wolfie settled off to sleep really nicely and I managed to get the twins fed up and back off to sleep.

I have a few things to do before I take the twins through. As devil boy’s daughter is over I will be taking them through earlier than normal. I am going to take through Star Wars the clone wars animated series to watch and reading more of the Star Wars book. I am going to make a list of all of the Star Wars books that I need to get. I have decided that I am going to try and get copies of all of the Star Wars books available.

An interesting day

The night shift went well for me. Wolfie woke up at around 12.30 screaming. Devil boy thought that he would not settle but all I had to do was go into his room cuddle him for a short while until he settled and then put him back into his cot. He thankfully settled back to sleep strait away. I then managed to get Elbereth settled in her basket but once again Malach did not settle so he came into bed with me. I think I am going to have to sort something out about him being able to settle in his basket at night like how Elbereth does.

Elbereth woke up at 3am for a feed but settled quickly and they both needed a feed at around 6.

I was alert early and after I fed them at just gone 9 I got up at around 9.45 and went through and got both Wolfies breakfast and mine.

Devil boy has received a letter about his medical for his incapacity benefit. He has failed this time so his benefit has been cancelled. He spent most of the morning making arrangements. I am not sure now what will happen with us. I am hoping that Devil boy will get the help that he needs though so that he can get a job and then I will feel much more confident about declaring myself self employed. But we will see what happens. He asked me why I did not seem really worried like he was but I think that this could be a great opportunity for us.

The rest of the day went well. The twins took a good feed and slept for a few hours. I spent time with Wolfie (LOL and keeping him away from playing with the curtains and my speakers) I have also cancelled our online computers games to try and cut back on our outgoing expenses. I also managed to reply to a couple of E-Mails that I have meant to do for days.

I went around to my friend’s house in the afternoon but I must have left it late to go around, as they were not in. I will try again in the morning.

When I got back the twins decided to sleep for a little longer which gave me the chance to get the washing out of the machine, fold the clothes form the radiators and put out the clothes from the washing machine before I needed to feed Elbereth.

I made some Lentil soup for Wolfie, which he ate a lot of and he had his clothes free time before he had a bath and was put to bed. He is once again having no problems settling off to sleep. Hopefully he will not wake up tonight.

I have spent some time tonight on the online computer game Star Wars taking screenshots of the pictures that are in the characters. They were the pictures that inspired me to start painting and making collages. I have decided that I will make replicas of the pictures for our home. I am really looking forward to making them.

I have spent the rest of the night feeding, changing and winding the twins while browsing the Internet and listening to the blue room (a show on Radio 1) I have to admit that I quite like it when Devil boy goes to his friends house as I get a little time to myself (well as much time that the twins will let me)

I have to clean the kitchen and the living room before I go to bed. Devil boy had an accident and spilt some beer. In his frustration he also created more mess and cut his finger by accident. I told him that I was clean up the mess though as he was getting more and more frustrated as he tried to clean up. LOL thankfully our kitchen is small so there is not that much to clean up.

Good news about dad

The night shift did not go too badly. Went through with the twins and they were both awake. I had changed them and when I went trough I read to them as I fed them. I then winded them and tried to get them settled.

Elbereth settled in her basket but Malach would not settle so he came into bed alongside me. I have started putting them alongside me on their pillow and once they have settled I move them on to the other side of the bed.

Once they were asleep they slept for some time. They needed feeding again at 6 and I then had to get up at 8 for Wolfie. I then had broken sleep until 11. I really struggled to get up though. I knew that I had to get up though and get ready for homestart.

I got the twins dressed and fed after I got breakfast for both Wolfie and me. Devil boy had also had a lie in as he was slightly hung over after coming back from his friends house tipsy last night.

I got them ready on time and as the bus was slightly late I managed to find my friends copy of the Star Wars book that she lent me to pass back to her.

The group went really well and I managed to get some lunch after I fed Elbereth. My friend winded her while I filled out competitions. I also weighed myself and I unfortunately found out that I had put on 3lb in weight instead of losing weight. I have decided that I am cutting out all cake and biscuits. I have been bad and snacking at bad times. I am from now on only going to eat meals at meal times and if I am going to snack it has to be fruit and vegetables only. Hopefully next week I will have managed to lose weight. Though I have to get the right balance of losing weight while making sure that I produce enough food for the twins.

My friend also came though while I washed the dishes and we chatted for a while. She was telling me that she wished that there were a t-shirt with the slogan ‘Jedi mummy – May the force be with me’ on it. That gave me an idea. I told her that I would make it for her. She has been so funky to me by giving me a load of clothes for Elbereth and a cotbed for Wolfie that I am really happy that I can do something.

When I went through to get Wolfie ready to take home I was given a birthday present from homestart for him. I thought that was really nice and I was not expecting it. It gave me an idea to bake a cake for his birthday.

When I got home I started looking for some t-shirts and tops to use. I am going to let her choose one of them when I see her next.

Devil boy went out for a while and it was really entertaining. The twins were crying and so was Wolfie. I fed them and changed and then I dealt with Wolfie. Devil boy got back while I was making dinner. I put some onto a plate for Wolfie so he could feed himself.

Devil boy made his dinner and also shared it with Wolfie so he has eaten plenty.

Once Devil boy took Wolfie to bed I quickly phone mum up to see what had happened with dad. He has come home from hospital, which is wonderful. He was sick on the way home unfortunately but the doctor checked him when they got home and he was happy with him. The district nurse and the doctor are going around again tomorrow. Hopefully now that he is home he will begin to make a good recovery.

I have been busy tonight sorting out through some of the stuff in the shed. There is so much clutter that I need to get rid of. I am sick of having too much junk. I did well to sort through it. I still have a lot to go through tomorrow but I am planning to sort through one bag and box at a time so hopefully it will not take too long to get through.

The twins have been really good tonight and while they have taken good feeds they have been quite settled in-between (apart from crying for a little from time to time)

I am now really to reply to messages from my friend and then clean up and get ready for bed and the start of no doubt an interesting night shift.
