Mass clean up of the flat

The night shift went well. Wolfie slept until 7am, which was really funky. The twins settled well and even though it was later than I planned I managed to get a good sleep. I managed to get them a night feed as well as a early morning feed before I got up to get some post.

The Star Wars book that I ordered arrived along with the memory for Devil boys camera. I will order the remaining books in the Han Solo trilogy in the next few weeks. I am looking forward to reading about Han Solos youth. The computer game that I ordered from E-bay also arrived along with the sim for my mobile phone. I had some fun working out how to use it. I like finding my way around mobiles and I do not usually need to use the manual.

The morning went well and as the sun was shining nicely I managed to get the twins and Wolfies bedding washed as well as all of the towels. I usually take advantage of a good drying day and get as much washing done as possible. It works well in case the next day is raining.

I started work on the back room sorting through the things that I have got in there. It is a never-ending job but I will be happy once I am on top of it.

I got a phone call in the afternoon from Homestart. A man will come around on Friday to do a safety check on the flat. He will then give us anything that we might need. I think that is a brilliant idea. He will be hopefully fitting us some smoke alarms. We have some in the flat but I do not know how useful they are but I think it will be good to see how safe our flat is anyway.

This means that the next few days I will have to run about like a loon making sure that the flat looks nice and tidy. It will also mean though that I will get on top of the housework before Devil boy goes away next week which should make the time while he is away easier…hopefully.

I managed to make some progress on the back room before deciding that I would make some room in the shed for some of the things from the back room. I will deal with them when I go through the shed.

I fed the twins and then went out into the back garden to help Devil boy put up the tent. Wolfie loved it and kept running in and out of it. I think I will leave the tent out all summer for Wolfie to use. It has not had much use so it will be good to get used a lot.

We then had some dinner and while Devil boy bathed Wolfie I got his room ready and tidied his toys away. It did not take him long to settle off tonight and before long he was crying again so I got him to get into bed and he settled off without a problem.

I then sorted out some sleep suits for a friend who is expecting a baby in August. I will pass them onto her on Monday. I have also put some suits to sell on E-bay as well.

After feeding the twins I got their bottles ready and cleaned the kitchen. I d0o not need to do too much more to the kitchen tomorrow. All I need to do now tonight is reply to some E-Mails quickly before giving the twins their night feed before going to bed. I am going to try and get to bed earlier tonight.

I got the twins weighed at the clinic today

The night shift went really well. The twins settled off really nicely and Wolfie woke up at around 5.30. Malach woke up for a night feed and Elbereth got a feed at around 7 so that is not going too badly.

I then slept until about 8 before I fed the twins before getting up at just after 9. I went through and saw that Wolfie was still asleep with Devil boy. They both woke up when I went through and I sorted out breakfast for Wolfie and I.

After breakfast I had a quick browse of the Internet before sorting out the nappy wash. I had left it a little longer than usual so I was really lucky to get all of the nappies in the machine.

After I did that I went though and changed and fed the twins. Not too long after that the Tesco order arrived so I was able to get the order put away, put the nappies out on the line and give the twins another quick feed before taking them out to get weighed.

One of the women who works at the clinic got Malach ready while I got Elbereth ready. They were both weighed. Elbereth has gone from 4.06Kg (8lb 15oz) to 4.38Kg and Malach has gone from 4.58Kg (10lb 1oz) to 4.76 (10lb 8oz) they are going up the centile chart again, which is really funky. I do not think it will be much longer before they are back on the chart again.

When I got back I fed the twins again before spending some time with Wolfie while Devil boy got us some dinner ready. He then went out to his friend’s house. His brother is going away for two weeks so he wanted to give him a good send off.

I then bathed Wolfie and put him to bed. He did not take too long to settle off to sleep and I came through and cleaned up the living room before changing and feeding Elbereth. I had to change her twice as after I fed her she decided to have an exploding poo, which meant a total change of outfit.

I then got the twins bottles ready and I then went to change Malach. I was just about to feed him when I realised that I had forgotten to pone up for my life coaching session. I tri3d to phone but the phone was engaged and when I got through she had gone to bed. I will have to call tomorrow to say sorry for missing the appointment.


All I have to do now is reply to a friends E-Mail, clean up and fold the nappies, give the twins their night feed before reading a bit and then going to sleep.

A very busy day while feeling exhausted

The night shift went quite well. Wolfie took a long time to settle unfortunately but Elbereth drank all of her bottle, which was really funky.

They both took good feeds before they settled nicely. For some reason I woke lots during the night. Malach woke up during the night so I was able to give him his night feed. Elbereth did not wake up so I woke her up to give her a feed. She was not impressed and she not only did not take her feed but she then protested at having been woken up.

The rest of y night was broken but I managed to get some sleep before I got up at just gone 9 to get breakfast and get ready to go out. I then got the twins ready to take out to the baby massage after I’d had breakfast.

For some reason I thought the baby massage was at a different place to what it was but thankfully I saw the woman that runs it so I was able to get to he group only a little bit late. At least I got some extra exercise.

Th3 baby massage went really well and the twins really loved it. The woman who runs it gave Malach a massage while I massaged Elbereth. It was really nice and I am hoping to make time to give them a massage as often as possible. Think once a week to begin with should be funky.

I then rushed home, had some lunch and then got ready to go out to rhyme and time. I changed the pram that I was using and Devil boy got Wolfie ready to take out. I put Elbereth in the baby carrier and Malach in the pram and I then went out to get to the group.

I was only about 10 minutes late for the Rhyme and time. I needed to feed the twins though, so I sat on the chair and fed them while singing the rhymes to Wolfie. He sat for some of them in the circle and then he came and joined me for some of the, before going of to play.

Then had a nice chat before we went. Though by the end of the group I was feeling tired and a few people noticed it. My friend as well gave me a hug at the end though which was really nice and I did not realise it at the time but it was just what I needed. It has been very much non-stop recently. It has also been non-stop all day and it only stops when I go to bed.


I had a really nice walk home and Wolfie did really well. I do not think it will be too long before he can walk both ways but the system that we are using is also working well at the moment.

When I got home I had something to eat before I lay on the sofa to feed the twins. I relaxed for some time before I decided that I wanted a cream cake. I felt more revived so I set off and took the stuff that needed to be recycled and got some things for us. I saw one of my friends while I was out but we did not have the chance to speak.

When I got back I had a quick browse of the Internet before Devil boy got Wolfies bath ready and I got his room ready for his bedtime. I then bathed Wolfe and put him to bed. I managed to read more than I usually did before I had to leave him. He is not settling quickly tonight. I hope that his sleeping starts to improve soon.

I have decided though that tonight I am going to get what I need to get done as soon as possible so that I can relax and hopefully get an early night as I really need a good rest. Though for the short times that I have managed to rest during the day I feel much better for it.

A funky night off

I have decided that for tonight I am going to have a relaxing night off and write my blog tomorrow.

Elbereth drank most of her bottle last night and all of tonight’s so that is funky.

I am just posting this to get the day heading and I will edit in the rest tomorrow.

My funky new phone and mouse arrived

Malach once again drank his nighttime bottle without any problem and Elbereth had her feed and then she surprised me when she drank 60ml of her bottle. I was really pleased about that as that is at least something.

The night shift went fine. The only down side was that I just could not get up to give them their night feed. I was just too exhausted. I managed to feed them at around 7am. This was the same time that Wolfie woke up. I think that is brilliant. He is still screaming by the door. I hope that will stop soon but I am not going to stop being Sith mummy as he will learn to go to sleep on his own again.

I got up at around 9 and as Devil boy had got in late from his friends house was still dozing as well so I got the porridge ready for both Wolfie and I. While it was cooling I put the nappies out on the line that had been washed last night.

I then had breakfast and browsed the Internet before going and changing the twins. The feeding routine is going well. I am able to feed them a lot and I am still able to get lots. I am also drinking lots of water, which hopefully will be helping.

Mum called up and chatted for a bit and after I spoke to her it was time to feed the twins again. While I was sorting them out Devil boy’s daughter came around. She kept Wolfie entertained by running around like a loon with him. Though we were very lucky that where we live is quiet because when Devil boy’s daughter came around there was a parcel left by the door. It was the mobile phone and mouse that I had ordered from E-bay. The phone is very funky and in very good condition. I need to order a sim for it but it is a very funky phone. I had a quick look on the Internet and managed to order a sim card for £3.


I then decided to have a go at making egg fried rice. My first attempt did not go very well. I do not know why but the rice always sticks together. Hehe by the end it just looked like a big blob. I will have a look on the Internet to see what I did wrong. I will get it right eventually.

The afternoon went well. I fed the twins lots, I replied to my friends E-Mails and I managed to sort out a wash load and put them out on the line once the nappies had dried. It is windy so it did not take long.

I folded up the nappies and got Wolfie a snack for his dinner. He has eaten well today so he did not need much for his dinner. I gave the twins another feed before I had a snack and got Wolfies room ready for him going to bed.

Devil boy’s daughter kept Wolfie entertained while he was in the bath. Then put him to bed. He was settling off nicely until the time that I left when he started crying and it was not long before he ran at the door and started hitting. He still has not settled. He is taking his time tonight.

As Devil boy’s daughter is over tonight I will make sure that I will be ready to go into the twins room earlier than usual. I am going to make sure that I will get plenty of reading done tonight though as I have not had the opportunity to do so recently. I have already cleaned the kitchen so the only thing I have to do is change and feed the twins. I will sneak through later when Devil boy’s daughter is asleep to sort out the twins bottles before crashing.

A late start but a very busy day to make up for it

Malach once again drank his night bottle without trouble but Elbereth would not take any of it at all. Hopefully she is getting enough from me during the day but I will see what I can try next to get her to drink it.

They settled well and I managed to get up and give them a night feed.

I struggled to get up in the morning. Soon after I woke up I fell asleep again which then meant that I got up later than I had intended. I then had to rush about helping Devil boy get ready to go out. I wish he had got me up earlier. I was really not happy for sleeping for too long.

I managed to then get the twins changed and fed before changing Wolfie and sorting out his lunch. I put on some music for us to listen to and I then sorted out some lunch for us.

Devil boy came back earlier than I expected. He had managed to get some contact lenses for him to take to the music festival that he is going to. I need to get out the tent that he will be taking and get that aired and show him how to put it up.


I then quickly went out to get some things as well as pick up the prescriptions for Malach and Elbereth. Elbereth needs eye drops for her sticky eye and Malach needs cream for his eczema. Thought it actually looks like it is clearing up a little.

The afternoon went well. I have been managing to give the twins feeds every two hours. In between that I have managed to have a quick browse of the Internet, go on the Cbeebies website with Wolfie and spend some time with him.

Devil boy sorted out some dinner for us while I fed the twins again and after that I was able to get into the kitchen to wash the dishes and sort out the bottles and sterilise them. I have to make sure that I get this done during the time when it is light as our kitchen lamp has broken, the kitchen light does not work and we have run out of candles.

As Devil boy is going out tonight I said to him that if he bathed Wolfie I would put him to bed. I sorted out his room and cleared up some of Wolfies toys. I then read to him. I managed to read a bit more than usual tonight but at the moment he is drifting off to sleep so quickly that I am making slow progress with the book.

When I got out Devil boy had cleared up the rest of the toys and he then went off to his friend’s house. I was able to change and feed the twins before going to sort out their bottles for the night.

I was sorting out the nappy wash when mum tried to phone. The last thing that I wanted to do was talk on the phone with mucky hands so I left it to ring. I tried to call back when I had sorted out the wash but I had missed her.

I then fed the twins gain and they have settled off nicely now. All I have to do now is tidy up a little and then give the twins their last feed of the day. I have got something that I can try with Elbereth. I have found a little feeding devise that might help Elbereth take some of the formula. I will try it and see how we go tonight. I think I will also have a read for a bit. I have not had much chance to read at all recently so hopefully I will get ten minutes to read before I go to bed.

I went to Holyrood today

The last feed went really well. Elbereth took a good feed but unfortunately she did not take much of the formula. She took about 20ml though which is at least something. I will try again tonight.

Malach though took a good feed and he guzzled all of his formula. They settled off really nicely and while I did not get up at 4 I managed to give them a feed from around 5.30 after Wolfie woke up.

I managed to get a bit more sleep and get up at around 8am. The skirt that I ordered last week online arrived today. It is really funky and because it is a smaller size than I normally wear it fits really well even though it is a maternity skirt.

I then got myself some breakfast and got the twins ready for going out. My health visitor collected me to join the rest of the group going into Edinburgh. I did not take Wolfie, as we unfortunately did not have a car seat for him.

The journey into Edinburgh went smoothly and we arrived at the parliament on time. It looks like a really funky building. We went in and some of the women left their babies at the crèche. There was not room for the twins art that point so I fed them and took them around with me.

We then went to get out lunch and the health Minster Andy Kerr came and had a chat with us before giving us a tour of the parliament. We got to sit in the debating chamber and I sat in the first minister’s chair. IU thought that was really funky. We also got to sit in one of the meditation pods and have a really nice tour.

I really enjoyed the day trip. Andy Kerr is really nice and you could tell that he genuinely really liked children. Hopefully we will get the chance to do that again.

The journey back also went really well and when I got back I was able to change and feed the twins again. They have been really good today but for some reason Elbereth bolted her feed when we first got in and it took me a long time to get all of the wind out of her.

I was about to sort out the bottle feeds for the twins. I had cleaned and sterilised the bottles and I opened the formula box when I noticed that the scoop was not there. I had a quick look around before I then went to sort out Wolfie in his bath and put him to bed.



Once I had read to him I continued my search. I was really annoyed with myself. Why did I not put the scoop back in the box? After a while I had an idea and I phoned the number on the box. The woman on the phone was able to tell me how to measure out a scoop and is going to send me out a new scoop.

I then fed Malach before going to sort out their bottles. I will give them those with the last feed of the night. I then managed to reply to my friends E-Mails (I was feeling too down to do so yesterday)

The only good thing that came from looking for the scoop was that I was able to get the kitchen cleaned up a little and clear some of the sides clear. This means that all I have to do is hae another quick clean up before giving the twins their last feed of the day. We will see how well Elbereth manages with it tonight.

I need to give the twins a bottle of formula at night

The night shift went well. The twins settled off funkily and slept well. Wolfie woke up at around 4.30. Hopefully this will be a one off for him. I unfortunately struggled to get up for their night feed but I managed to feed Malach at around 7 and Elbereth shortly after.

I was just about to get up when I got a phone call from my health visitor. She told me that she wanted to call around and have a chat to me in the morning. She told me on the phone that the paediatrician may want to admit the twins into hospital to get fed up. This really worried me and I got up and quickly had breakfast before going tou to get some things.

One of my friends gave me a list of things that are good for boosting the calorie content of my milk so I thought that it would be a good idea to start as soon as possible. Unfortunately though I was only able to get one item off my list. I was really annoyed that I could not even get brown rice in the town where I live.

When I got back my health visitor was around and she had already weighed Elbereth. She then weighed Malach. She said that they had gained weight in the last few days. She told me that for now it would be a good idea to give them some formula but to also give them a night feed. I have decided that I will get up at 4 to give them a night feed. I have been told to feed the every four hours. It was amusing though because I got outfit for the twins to wear and as Devil boy got them changed he dressed. He put Elbereth’s outfit on Malach and Malachs outfit on Elbereth.

I was really down after that and I managed to give the twins a feed before going out. As the health visitor came around in the late morning it gave me chance to get out to the next town to get some bottles and some formula. I have already got a sterilisor. I also was able to get some items off my list to help boost my milk. I got spinach, almonds and brown rice. I also got some mineral water as I need to make sure that I drink as much as possible.

I managed to get some reading done while I was out. When I got back I got the nappies in fm outside and then fed the twins before making a start on a vegetable soup. I added some brown rice into it. I put as much into it as possible. It was really nice actually. I have got enough to last until tomorrow.

Devil boy’s daughter was over today so she kept Wolfie entertained for a short while before she went back again. I unfortunately then was feeling really down and uptight about what has happened today that I snapped at Wolfie a few times. I felt really wound up.

After dinner Wolfie had his bath. While Wolfie was in the bath I sorted out the bottles for the twins to have tonight. I need to make sure that the formula feed is on top of the other feeds, as I need to make sure that the extra milk does not affect my supply.

Devil boy then put Wolfie to bed. I cleaned up his today and washed the dishes. Devil boy came out and after he took his daughter home he changed the twins and I fed them.

I browsed the Internet for a short while before getting a bath. I thought it would be nice to get my hair sorted for tomorrow. I actually think that baths have a therapeutic quality for me, as by the time I got out of the bath I was feeling much better.


All I need to do now is to feed the twins and clean up a bit before going to bed. I need to try and get as much sleep as possible before I give the twins their night feed and also because I will be up early in the morning. I am really looking forward to going to Holyrood.

The twins need to be seen by a paediatrician

The night shift went really well. I went to bed far to late though but the twins settled quickly after they were fed and I managed to read for a bit bef0re going to sleep.

Wolfie woke up around 1.30 and he got into bed and went back to sleep without a problem. He slept until about 6.30 which is really funky. All is need to do now is start settling to sleep better at night and we will have his sleeping sorted.

The twins also slept well. I gave Malach an early morning feed but because I went to bed late I was absolutely exhausted and I fell asleep and missed Elbereth’s early morning feed. I know I will do a better just tomorrow. I just need to make sure that I get to bed earlier.

After I fed Elbereth I got up and had breakfast and sorted out a wash load. Thankfully the clothes out on the line did not take long to dry so I was able to get the new load out soon after the wash had finished.

The lawnmower that I ordered arrived in the morning…except it was not a lawnmower. It was a strimmer. I thought I must have made a mistake with ordering but when I checked realised that it was not my fault. Thankfully I was able to phone up and they will collect the strimmer on Thursday and replace it with the lawnmower that I ordered.

I then fed and changed the twins before getting some lunch. I was then able to feed the twins again and get ready to go out for my physiotherapy appointment. I wanted to make sure that the twins were stocked up before I went out.

When I was waiting to get seen I was shocked when I was told off by the physiotherapist for missing my appointment. I then told her that the card told me that the appointment was at 3.10. She looked at the card and realised that she had written 3.10 on the card instead of 2.10. She thankfully was able to see me shortly after though. She checked my back and told me that it was going well and that as long as I was careful with my posture and did my exercises I would not need to see her again. She printed off some exercises for me and I asked her what I could do to tone up my underarms and she was able to show me some exercises for that as well.


I had a wait for the bus but thankfully the library next to the clinic was open so I was able to read for a bit. When I got back Devil boy told me that my health visitor phoned and told me that my doctor is not happy with the twins weight and he wants them to not only be seen by a paediatrician but that I should subsidise their diet with formula. Thankfully though my health visitor is still not concerned about their weight and she says that they do not look malnourished. This helped me still feel confident. I have been really good with drinking water today and I am going to eat some things that will be good for the milk. As long as they are putting on weight then I will be happy.

I had some dinner before bathing and putting Wolfie to bed. I then sorted out a nappy wash and changed and fed the twins. I noticed that Elbereth has definitely grown out of the 0–3 month sleep suits so that also made me feel better. I will get the 3–6 month clothes out tomorrow.

I have managed to reply to my friends E-Mails so all I need to do is tidy up a little, make a bid for a new keyboard on E-Bay and then take the twins through for their feed before I go to bed. I will then set my alarm for 5 so that I can give them a nightly feed.

The twins were weighed at home today

The night shift went really well. Wolfie slept through the night and woke up at around 6am. He is doing really well so I am glad that I am sticking with the sith mummy approach.

The twins also slept well and then woke up at around 7am. I fed them before getting up for breakfast.

I managed to browse the Internet for a bit before I went through and changed and fed the twins again. I decided that I would get ready and go out early for rhyme and time so that I could call in and see Devil boys grandma.

I actually managed to get out at the time that I had planned to get out and when I got up to Devil bys grandmas house I found that they were out. I was able to rest in the back garden for a bit through and I was able to change and feed Elbereth before I headed up to rhyme and time.

The group went really well and Wolfie sat on my lap happily during three of the rhymes without moving which is a record for him. He was getting tired though and by the end of the group he was begging to get a little to enthusiastic though and being a little rough. Thankfully though he was really good on the walk home and only moaned a couple of times. I think he is getting used to the long walk but I will keep to just getting him to walk one way at the moment.

Shortly after I got home I got a phone call from my health visitor., she said that as she knew that I was worried about getting the twins weighed at the clinic she could call around to our house and get the weighed here today instead of tomorrow. I thought that was a really funky idea so I told her to call around.

It turned out that it was a much better idea than I thought as while I was feeding Malach I suddenly remembered about my physiotherapy appointment and I checked when it was and saw that it was tomorrow afternoon.


She called around shortly before dinner and weighed them. They have both put on weight but not much. Malach is just on the bottom of the chart and Elbereth is slipping further off the bottom. Malach is just over 10lb though and Elbereth is just under 9lb. My health visitor is still happy and she told me that they look fine and they are at least putting on weight. She asked me if I minded her contacting my GP as they have dropped off the chart but she did say that she is going to contact someone and get some breastfeeding charts for them. She says that it might not look so bad on that chart.

She advised me though to start giving them a nightly feed. I will have to wake them up but she told me that there are most calories in the night than the rest of the day. I am going to try and get an early morning feed and see if that works just as well. I am also going to make sure that I drink lots of juice as I have lapsed with the amount of water and juice that I have been drinking.

I am not feeling so bad this time though which is really funky. I think that was because my health visitor came out to our house. I think I would not hae felt so good if I’d have been at the baby clinic. Hopefully we will get them to put on some more weight though but as long as they just keep on putting on weight then that will be at least something.

After dinner Devil boy put Wolfie to bed. He did cry for some time but he settled off to sleep while I was having a nice soak in the bath. I thought it would be nice to get my hair sorted out before the physiotherapy appointment tomorrow.

The night has gone really quickly. All I have done is feed the twins and browse the Internet. All I have to do now is have a quick clean up in the kitchen and change and feed the twins. If I get chance I will also reply to one of my fiends E-Mails.

I am getting worried again about the twin’s weight

The night shift went really well. I was ready early and I took the twins through and fed them. I decided that I would not do any tidying up but I would read instead. I do not get much time to sit and read so I thought I would take advantage and read for a bit. I made good progress with the book and I am really enjoying it.

I then went to sleep and was woken up at around 1.30 when Wolfie got uncomfortable by the door. When I went in he got into bed and settled off until around 7am. I am really happy about that as even though he is crying before he goes to sleep he is getting good sleep now.

The twins woke for a feed at around the same time that Wolfie got up. I fed them and I had some catnaps before getting up and getting some breakfast. After breakfast I noticed that the rain that was there when I first got up had started had stopped so I decided to temp putting the nappies out ion the line as they really needed to get dried. I thought I would see how much I could get dried outside before having to put them on the radiators.

I then went through and changed and fed the twins. I read for a little bit before making a start on sorting out the back room. Though there was a delay on this when I needed to have a look for Devil boys train tickets for him to go to the music festival. The twins watched my progress from their baskets. Malach has been in such a bubbly mood. He has been giggling lots and smiling so much. Even when Devil boy and I chatted to Elbereth he was happily giggling and cooing at us. All it took was looking at him to get him to grin like a Cheshire cat. Elbereth was also smiling but not as much as Malach.

I was able to find them and put them in a safe place (that is actually a safe place where I will remember where it is) I then fed the twins and stated work on the back room. I cleared all of the stuff out of the cot and put them on my bed. I then put the twins in it for a bit to see how they would get on with it. They did well considering that it was their first proper time in a cot. I will put them in it for some time during the day so that they can get used to it.

They were quite unsettled today though even though I gave them lots of feeds. Maybe they just needed more or they were not getting enough from me. I then had to start the next search of the day for one of Devil boys computer games. He is going to his friend’s house tonight so it was needed. Thankfully it did not take me long before I found it. Then also the twins stayed settled for long enough for me to get some dinner and upload the pictures from my camera onto the computer.

When I was looking through then I started to worry about the twins and whether or not they wee putting on enough weight. I then started to panic and feet really down for a bit. I even snapped at Wolfie, as I was feeling so bad. I felt rotten about that.

I picked up a little and I gave Wolfie his bath and put him to bed. I am to making good progress with Lord of the rings at the moment as Wolfie is falling asleep so quickly when I am reading to him that I have to keep a look out so that he does not fall asleep while I am reading to him.

He was not crying for long and by the time my bath had run he had settled off. I had a lovely soak in the bath and was feeling better.

After my bath I changed and fed the twins. Malach has scratched his face though and made it bleed. I cut his nails but they were not really long. I have wiped his face though now and it looks a lot better. I have to make out a wee list though as I need to ask the health visitor about a few things. He has a lump on his head that I want her to have a look at, he has a rash on the back of his knees and he has a rash on his bits. Poor wee poppet.


Wolfie then woke up earlier than usual so I was able to put him in his bed and he settled off to sleep strait away. I have decided though that if he wakes in the night like the last time it happened I will just leave him.

Thankfully after their feed I began to feel a little more confident about them. They are having lots of wet and messy nappies and if their weight has not improved enough I will contact a breastfeeding councillor to see what they can advise and if it really comes to it I will give them a formula feed at night.

Devil boy was very sweet before he went out and washed the dishes so all I have to do in the kitchen is wipe the sides but I have to clear a spot so that I have a space to sleep in my bed. I think I will also make sure that I have a quick read and relax before I got to bed as well.

A very good night shift

The night shift went really well. Wolfie did not cry for that long before he was asleep and the twins settled off really nicely. I even managed to get a bit of my Star Was book read.

Wolfie woke up but when I went in to him and he managed to get himself back into his bed. He settled off quickly and slept until about 6.30. I fed the twins and got up and had breakfast. I got up a little later than I had planned as I fell asleep after I had fed them.

I had some breakfast and browsed the Internet. I had started raining outside but thankfully the clothes that I put out yesterday were only just damp so I got them in before they got too wet.

The morning went really quickly. I changed and fed the twins and read for a bit and while Devil boy took Wolfie to his grandma’s house I tidied up the kitchen. I then got the twins ready and went out. I went to drop off a birthday present at my friends’ house for her daughter who is 3 today.

When I got back I fed the twins. Devil boy was telling me that there was trouble at his grandma’s house. Wolfie is really scared of one of Devil boy’s uncles. He was really scared so his uncle was not very happy and this really upset his grandma. She is not well at the moment and the tension is really not helping her. I have stopped visiting her on a Monday afternoon after Rhyme and time because of how his uncle scares Wolfie.

I went through and fed the twins and put some cream on Malachs head. His Eczema is getting better but the cream makes his head look really greasy. I really have to get the twins room sorted out though as it is a right state at the moment. I am struggling to keep on top of the housework at the moment.


I went through and Devil boy sorted out dinner for us and I cleaned up the kitchen. I thought it would be nice to get the kitchen clean at an earlier time rather than cleaning it last thing at night and leaving the dishes until morning.

Devil boy then bathed Wolfie and I got his room before I went out to get Devil boy some tins of Guinness. When I got back I heard Wolfie crying by the door but it did not take long for him to settle off. I did not go through to him at all. I am seeing a big improvement in how quickly he is settling and it can only get better.

As Devil boys daughter is over I am going to make sure that I am ready early to take the twins through. All I have to do is quickly tidy up and feed the twins before I take them though to the back room. I will also try and tidy the twin’s room.

I managed to get a letter sent of to my friend

The night shift went well. The twins settled off really well and I managed to read for a bit before Wolfie woke up form sleeping at the door and wanted to be put in his bed. I put him in his bed and he settled off strait away.

He then slept until 5.30 when I took him through to Devil boy and the twins needed feeding at around 8am. I got up a little later than I wanted. It was not too late though. I was shocked to go into the living room and see that Wolfie was still asleep. He was very sweet and he came strait to me and passed me his dummy. I then spent some time with him before getting my breakfast and browsing the Internet for a bit.

I then went through and I changed and fed the twins. While I was feeding the twins Wolfie kept climbing onto the bed and kissing the twins which I thought was really sweet. He also kissed my feet, which I thought was just so funky.

Devil boy took Wolfie over to his grandma’s house. I decided to use this time to properly clean to kitchen. I really managed to get a lot done and I managed to mop the floor. It looks a lot better now. I then was able to properly hover the living room.

I then managed to write out a letter for one of my friends that I have been meaning to write to for a long time. I wrote a letter for her in November but forgot to send it. I got a card for her this morning congratulating me for the twins and that made me determined to send the letter off.


When Devil boy got back I got the twins ready and took them out. I managed to get the letter to my friend sent off. I got all of the things that I needed to get done and on the way home I called on to see Devil boys grandma as Devil boy had told me that she was not well when he was there. She said that she was feing a lot better. Hopefully she is on the mend now. Devil boys mum and dad are also in the area. It was nice seeing them. I was not there for long, as I had to get home for dinner.

I managed to feed Elbereth before dinner and then feed Malach and afterward. Devil boy started Wolfies bath while I sorted out his room and tided up his toys.

I read to him for a bit and then left him. He did not thankfully cry for too long but I know that he will be by the door. Bless him I wonder how long it will b before he learns to put himself back into his bed.

I then had a lovely soak in the bath and sorted out my hair. I felt so much better after having the bath. I am also glad that I have found an easier way of sorting out my hair. It means that my hair does not look tatty anymore. I think I will book an appointment to get my hair cut for next week. I will hold off getting it dyed until mum and dad have visited.

After my bath I changed the twins and fed them. They took good feeds and settled off to sleep nicely. This meant that I was able to have a quick browse of the Internet and reply to my friends E-Mails.

All I have to do now is have a quick read and tidy op before taking the twins through for their last feed of the day and then hopefully getting a good night’s sleep.

Wolfie sleeping is beginning to improve

The night shift went well. I took the twins through and changed and fed them and had a read for a bit before Wolfie woke up by the door and I was able to put him into his bed where he thankfully settled off without any problems.

He woke up at 5am and I took him through to Devil boy where he slept until 7.

I had a good sleep. I woke up at around 8 and fed the twins before getting up at around 9 and getting breakfast. I browsed the Internet for a short while before washing the dishes and cleaning up in the kitchen.

I was glad that I out the bins out last night as they got emptied early this morning. I managed to get rid of quite a bit of the junk that I had got in the shed. I can now get back to decluttering the shed in the next few days.

I got a phone call from my health visitor in the morning. She was asking me if I wanted to go on a day trip with the local breastfeeding group. They are going to Holyrood next Thursday. We will get a tour of the building and then lunch with the minister for health before getting back in the afternoon. I will take the twins with me. I would have taken Wolfie along with me but I do not have a car seat for him. I am really looking forward to it.


I then got the twins changed and fed ready to go to homestart in the afternoon. As the weather is getting warmer it does not take me that long to get ready, as I do not have to put coats on the all.

The group went really well and Wolfie as per usual had a really funky time. I was having a chat to my friend about Wolfies sleeping. She was telling me what she did with her youngest daughter as she has the same sleep issues that Wolfie has. She told me that she left her when she was having problems and it did not take long for her to get sorted. I think I will also do what she did as well. It will make for a few tough days but I am sure that Wolfie will pass through them quickly enough. Hehe I just have to make sure that I do as well.

After I got back I sorted through the nappies that had dried and as the weather looked mostly good for drying things I put a dark load in the machine. I unfortunately put it on the wrong cycle so some of the colours in the clothes have run. Thankfully there has not been too much damage.

The rest of the afternoon went well. I managed to get some more reading done when I fed the twins before I got dinner. Wolfie then came and sat on my lap when I went over to the computer so until his bath time I went on the Cbeebies website and played some of the games for me. I must admit that I find it fun and I am glad for the excuse to be silly for some time.

Devil boy bathed him and put him to bed tonight. I tidied up the room before feeding the twins. Once I had done that I browsed the Internet for some time. I lost track of the time though. I was a little sad as I’d hoped to have managed to get some more of the collage done. I will have to make some time to get more of it done tomorrow. I really have to be good with my motivation at the moment.

I have changed and given Elbereth her night feed through and all I have to do is have a quick tidy up before taking the twins through and changing and feeding Malach before reading and crashing for the night.

After 20 years I went to the dentist today

The night shift went really well. Devil boy was feeling tired so I made sure that I took the twins through early. I changed and fed them and as I was getting ready to go to sleep I heard Wolfie start crying. As I am still in Sith Mummy mode and leaving him at night he has been falling asleep by the door (he has not worked out how to get back into bed yet…bless him) so when I heard him I when in and put him into his bed.

He settled off strait away thankfully though and he slept until 7.30. I am so pleased how it went. I think that it might be beginning to improve. I think that maybe two to three nights will see a funky improvement.

I woke up at around 8am and fed the twins and had a read in bed for a bit before getting up. The morning went well. I had some breakfast before getting the twins fed and changed and then fed again.

I then sorted out some lunch before going out in the afternoon with Wolfie. Devil boy was not feeling well so I thought that it would be a good idea to take him out. The twins were sleeping nicely so I left them at home.

While I was out I remembered that I wanted to register at the dentist. Thankfully it was open so I went up to register. She told me at first that I might have to wait up to a month, as there is a long waiting list. I was just getting Wolfie back in his buggy when one of the assistants came though and told me that the dentist had half an hour free and that he would see me now.


I was really nervous but I thought that it would be good to get it over with. The dentist was lovely though and he was really gentle with me. I have got to have two wisdom teeth out though as they are growing at a bad angle. I will then need two fillings for the teeth that have been damaged by my wisdom teeth. He also said that my gums are a bit loose. He thinks that was due to me smoking.

Wolfie was so sweet thought. He was strapped in his buggy while I was being checked and he did not moan at all and he did not try to get out of his buggy at all. He just sat there and patiently waited. I was so proud of him and made sure that I told him how good he was. The dentist also checked him. He wriggled about but the dentist managed to check him.

Have to get an X-Ray to see what needs to be done with my wisdom teeth and I have an appointment to see the dental hygienist who will clean up my teeth and advise me on how to keep my gums healthy.

When I got back I went to feed the twins while Wolfie was outside with Devil boy. His daughter came around they run about like loons. This gave me chance to have a read in peace. I managed to finish one book and make a start on the next Star Wars book. It is a two-part story. It is really funky.


Devil boy then sorted out dinner for us all and then put Wolfie in the bath while I sorted out his room. The bath was cut short when Wolfie did a poo in the bath but thankfully it did not make too much mess.

As Devil boy wanted to watch the football I put Wolfie to bed. He did not cry for too long and he has settled off now. I really feel confident that we will be able to sort out his sleeping now,

I then spent some time cleaning the kitchen before feeding Elbereth and then replying to my friends E-Mail. I am going to spend a quick 15minutes on the Star Wars computer game before getting the twins changed and ready for bed. As I cleaned up earlier I at least do not need to do that.

Sith mummy day 2

The night shift did not go well unfortunately. The twins once again settled off nicely (Elbereth squeaked for a bit but settled in the end) It was Wolfie (as per usual) that was the challenge. He started crying at around 1.45 and I decided that I would be tough. He would not settle though. I managed to get sleep while he was crying through and I managed to stay tough until 5.30 when I decided that he should go through to Devil boy. He then slept until 9.45.


I got up at around 10.30 and had a look at Devil boys funky new phone that had arrived this morning. Elbereth woke up at 11 so that is very funky for her. I had my breakfast and Devil boy took Wolfie over to his grandma’s house.

I had a quick look around for Devil boys train tickets for the download festival. I did not have any luck but I will find them over the next few days. I then changed and fed the twins. I managed to read for a bit before the Tesco order arrived. I unpacked that and fed the twins again.

Devil boy got back from his grandmas and shortly after I fed the twins before getting up to the health centre to go to the baby clinic. My health visitor had a look at Malachs head and gave some cream for his eczema. She also gave me some ointment to put in his bath. She told me that I did not have to get them weighed and she thought they were looking really well and she said that she could tell that they had put on weight. I was really nervous about getting them weighed after what happened last time.

While I was getting ready to leave the other health visitor came to chat to me. He started making me feel guilty about not getting them weighed. It felt like he was bullying me and I did not like it. He was telling me that Elbereth might have reflux and that I must not leave them for long. I told him that I was happy with them and that I would get them weighed next week. He could not force me but he made me feel awful. He kept mentioning Elbereth though and it was Malach that had lost weight the last time. Elbereth was the one who’d had good weight gain.

Before I left I had another quick word with my health visitor to ask her about Wolfies sleeping. She told me to keep the Sith mummy approach so I will do that but I also managed to get some reassurance from her that she thought that the twins were funky and that it was all right not have had them weighed.

On my way home I realised that I had left the twins changing bag at the clinic but I needed to rush home to make sure that I had chance to bid for a phone on E-Bay before the auction ended. I managed to get in time and win the auction. I managed to get a camera phone for £18. It is t eh same one that Devil boy has got. I am really looking forward to getting a funky phone again.


I quickly rushed out to get my bag back and when I got back I sorted out Wolfies dinner. Devil boy was not feeling well at all so he was not able to get a lot done unfortunately.

It was my night to bathe and put Wolfie to bed though. I nearly read until Wolfie was asleep. He was so tired that it was not long. I caught him in time so he did a big dive at the door shortly after I left and I think it took about an hour and a half before he settled. I am still going to be tough if he wakes during the night. I really have to keep tough, as that is the only way to break the cycle.

I was browsing the Internet when I saw some very sad news about one of my friends. She has had some very bad news about her pregnancy. T seems so unfair. She is such a lovely lady and I really hoped that everything would go well for her.

I have just spent the night cleaning the kitchen and putting things away. I am going to make sure that I get an early night tonight, as Devil boy is really tired now. He is thankfully feeling better. I will just write a little bit for an article that I am working on a the moment before feeding the twins and going to bed for what will no doubt be an interesting night shift.

I am now Sith Mummy

The night shift did not go well again. The twins settled off nicely again and I was just about to get into bed when Wolfie woke up. I thought that it would be good to settle Wolfie before going to bed.

I was not able to get him to settle and I had to take him through to Devil boy.

I managed to get a reasonable sleep in the end but not enough and it was broken so it took me a while to wake up. The twins though slept until 9. I just need to sort out Wolfie sleeping.

The morning went well and the rain that had been forecast had arrived. I unfortunately did not manage to get the nappies dried yesterday so they were getting very wet outside. Thankfully I do not need them so they can stay outside getting an extra wash.

I changed and fed the twins before having a bit of time to relax and browse the Internet before getting ready to go to rhyme and time.

It was rather an interesting challenge getting there. I put Wolfie in the pram with Elbereth and Malach was in the carry pouch. I had to push the pram one handed and hold an umbrella with the other because I wanted to keep Malach dry. I thought that it was good for exercise.

The woman who runs the group was off sick but there were a few that turned up so we were able to sing the rhymes anyway. Wolfie was really good this week and came and sat with me while I sang to him. I think I will have to find time to sit with him during the week. I had a chat with my friend and she has made me realise that I have to take the tough approach with Wolfie sleeping pattern.

As Wolfie was tired I decided that I would put him in the [pram on the way home as well. When I got back I had some biscuits. Though as I had some earlier I then felt awful so I had some water to drink and managed to get out for a really good walk. I made it a really brisk walk so I could see to the twins when I got back.

When I got back I had dinner and then sorted out the twins before getting Wolfies room ready for his bed. I told Devil boy that we are not to read to him until he goes to sleep and that he has to learn to self settled again. I have now become tough mummy or otherwise known as Sith Mummy.


We managed to ignore him bashing the door. We went through to him a couple of times but he managed to fall asleep. I was really pleased that he did so well. I know that it will get better tomorrow. The first night is always the worst. As when he fell asleep he was not in the most comfortable position he woke up about an hour later but I just put him in his bed and immediately left the room. He settled off with no problem. We will see what happens tonight. I really need a good nights seep as I feel really dazed. I am feeling confident to get his sleeping sorted before Devil boys goes away to the music festival.

I was able to reply to my fiends E-Mail’s and get some time on the Star wars computer game. I had fun running around getting the low level quests done. As they are low level I can have a quick half an hour on the game before getting my jobs done.

All I need to do now is tidy up a bit, change and feed Malach and feed Elbereth. I will also have a read before crashing. I really hope that I managed to get a good sleep or that if Wolfie does wake in the night he settles off with out too much trouble.

Securing the garden

The night shift went well. I managed to get a good sleep. The twins not only settled off well but they slept until around 7am. Wolfie woke at 3 but I decided that tonight I would not try and settle him again as I really needed a good sleep so I took him through to Devil boy.

I fed the twins before getting up and getting breakfast. I noticed tat the weather was sunny so I decided to get a wash load in.

While I was sorting out breakfast I was going out and repairing bit of the fence that Wolfie had got though yesterday. I managed to secure the area really nicely. I will go into the next town tomorrow to get a hammer and some nails to get the job done properly. I am hoping that we can also fix the front gate so that if Wolfie ever gets out again he will not be able to get onto the road. I do not think I will ever be able to look at Wolfie the same way from now on. Every time I look at him I cannot believe how lucky I am that he is still with us. Yesterday could have gone disastrously wrong but we are so lucky that it did not. I will also need to have the area extra secure for when the twin are more mobile.

After I had my breakfast I quickly put out the clothes from the washing machine before having a lovely soak in the bath. I also sorted out my hair. My hands have recovered from the nettle stings and the cuts on my legs are also healing nicely.

After my bath I was able to change and feed the twins. I remembered while I was feeding the twins that the formula1 was on the TV so as soon as I had finished I went through to watch it. I also took a lot of the clothes that needed sorting out through with me so that I could fold them up while watching the TV.

I decided to get another wash load done while the weather was funky for drying clothes. I have seen that rain has been forecasted for the rest of the week so I am trying to get as much done as possible when it is good to do so. I managed to get a lot of clothes folded up. I now have outfits sorted out for the twins for the next few days as well.

The F1 was fun to watch and afterward I managed to see the touring cars as well. I put out the clothes from the next wash and managed to get a nappy wash in. I then needed to go out to the shop to get some thing.

When I got back I managed to reply to friends E-Mails before we had our dinner. I just relaxed for a little and then tidied up while Devil boy bathed Wolfie. I then got him dressed and read to him. There was a lot of noise coming from the park so I was glad when he fell asleep. We will see what happens tonight.

I came thorough and fed the twins before actually being able to get on one of the online computer games that I like paying. I was not on for long but it was fun playing it again. I think I will try and get to play it for half an hour a day. It is fun doing something fun during the day.


All I need to do is move the twin’s clothes back into their room and clean up a bit before changing them and getting their night feed. I will make sure that I get a bit of toast for supper and read a chapter or two before I cash for the night shift.

Wolfie went for a walkabout

The night shift did not go well unfortunately. The twins settled off funkily and I was in bed for a reasonable time but it was once again Wolfie that was the challenge.

He woke up at just before 3am. I managed to get him to go to sleep but he woke again at 3.30. No matter what I did though he would not settle back to sleep. I lost my temper with him at one point and I felt rotten for doing so. I had been making really good progress with my anger management but I have lapsed recently. I ended up taking Wolfie through to Devil boy at 4.30. I just knew that he would not settle and I was also exhausted by that point.

I was able to get a reasonable sleep after that but it took a while for me to wake up in the morning. I had to get up reasonably early because Devil boy was going to his friends house to watch the football.

He left at around 10.30 and the morning went well. Wolfie was really funky while I changed and fed the twins. They slept while I went outside with him and I was able to get some lunch for him. I also managed to get a Jedi Padawan braid in his hair. He sat still while I put it in. I will need to get a new band to use but he looks really funky.

After that I took in the nappies that had now dried on the line and put the new wash load out. I went back in to sort out the nappies quickly. I was keeping a check on Wolfie. I checked once and I could not find him. I looked everywhere but he was not there. I was beginning to panic. I had a look in the woods at the back of our home but I could not see him. I went sliding down a steep slope and my hands and legs are covered in nettle stings.


I checked all around the flat and outside again before I realised that I had to phone the police. They were really good and they got someone out strait away. Thankfully though shortly after I got off the phone to the police and I was calling Zanders name I saw some people coming over the road asking if I was looking for someone. They had Wolfie and he was funky. They saw him in the middle of the road and they got him. I am so lucky that he was safe and that he was found before something awful happened. It was funny through. When Wolfie was passed to me the woman who passed him to me referred on him as her. I know that his hair is getting longer but he looks like a boy and he was not wearing girl’s clothes.

I phoned up the police to let them know that he had been found. The police still called around to confirm that he was safe. It was nice to see that the reacted so promptly though. I hope I do not need to use them again like that though.

I discovered where he escaped so both Devil boy and I are going to have to really make sure that the garden is totally safe for him.

I spent the rest of the afternoon in a kind of daze. Every so often I would pick up Wolfie and give him lots of cuddles and kisses. Though I did manage to get some cleaning up of the twin’s room done as well.

Devil boy’s daughter came around in the late afternoon. She will be spending the night. Devil boy timed her coming around for when he got home from the football. He was delayed so I got dinner for Wolfie.

He was not late by long and he was able to get something else for Wolfie to eat and run his bath. He then had his bath and I put him to bed. I cheated again tonight and read to him until he was asleep. I have decided that the next time I put him to bed I will not do that. It will be controlled crying part B.

As Devil boy’s daughter is stopping over I am going to make sure that we go through to the back room early. All I have to do is have a quick tidy up before I go through. I will be done for between 9.30 and 10.

A very funky and productive day thanks to cooperative children

The night shift went well. The twins settled off nicely and shortly after I took them through Wolfie woke up. I do not mind Wolfie waking up before I have gone to bed as I am not so tired and it is easier to deal with.

I managed to get him to settle off and I got a good sleep before Wolfie woke up at around 6am. The twins then needed feeding. I got up a little later than I wanted (Devil boy needed to go out to the doctors) but thankfully it was not too late. It took me a while to wake up though and I was yawning for a while and feeling a little dazed.

Devil boy got back shortly. The doctors went well. He needs to get physiotherapy on his neck as he has had trouble for some time.

The morning went well. I managed to sort out the nappy wash, changed Wolfie and the twins and get Wolfie off for a nap before feeding the twins. Wolfie had a good nap before he woke up. I was then able to get him some lunch, sort the twins out and put the nappies out on the line before going out to get some things sorted. It was also a good excuse for a brisk walk. I have been eating a lot recently so I need to get out as much as possible for walks. I m planning on getting a skipping rope next week.

On the way home it started raining. It had been forecast to be raining but I was hopping that it might have missed us, as there had not been much rain so far. Thankfully it has been forecast as being sunny tomorrow so I should be able to get them dried then.

After I got home I needed to feed the twins again. While I was doing this Wolfie kept coming in and out of the room. He was good though and he was cute when he kept climbing onto the bed saying ‘bed, sleep’ and pretending to snore. It is a shame though that when it comes too proper bedtime he is more reluctant to go to sleep.


After dinner and Wolfie was running about I was able to get some shortbread made. It is so easy to make and does not take long. I also then can make it with vegan margarine.

As it was Devil boys turn to put Wolfie to bed I was able to tidy up while he was sorting that out. I managed to clean up the kitchen nicely as Devil boy said he wanted to have a go at making some shortbread as well but using butter for himself.

The twins had a feed and settled off really nicely which has meant that I have been able to have a quick brows of the internet and get some work done on my friends collage. This has meant that I will have to reply to my friends E-Mail tomorrow but I really need to get this collage finished.

All I need to do tonight is changed and feed the twins and clean up a little.

My letter is in Take a break

The night shift did not go too badly. The twins settled off really nicely and I managed to read for a bit before Wolfie woke up at around 2am. I knew that he would. It too k a while to get him settled off though but I eventually got him to settle off until 5am. I then took him through to Devil boy.

I still managed to get up a bit early and feed the twins before getting my breakfast. I then called around to the shop to get the copy of take a break. The article was smaller than I expected. I have decided that I will use the money that I will get to get some Star Wars books instead.

The rest of the morning went well. I sorted out some washing and then got the twins ready for homestart. As the weather was very warm it did not take long to get them all ready. I just had to change their nappies and feed the twins before I was ready.

Homestart went really well. One of the women who works there has just turned 60. We had a bit of a party. It was really nice. I ate too much cake though but I had a nice time.

When I got back I managed to get some work done on the shed. I put the bin out this morning but unfortunately the new system has started in which the bins will only get emptied once a fortnight. I will be able to last for another week but we will have to be really careful.

I was able to get all of the bottles and jars taken to the recycle place though. I thought it would be a good idea to get a good walk after all of the cake that I ate at the party.

Devil boy bathed Wolfie while I got some tidying up done and sorted out his room. I decided tonight that I would read to Wolfie until he was asleep. I will speak with my health visitor next week to see what she says about his sleeping. Hopefully she will be able to suggest something.


After he settled off I was able to eventually put up the new curtains in the living room. They look funky. Though I noticed that one is slightly longer but I will be able to sort that out.

I then had a nice chat with mum on the phone. I told her about changing my surname and she used that as an excuse to suggest to us about getting married. We do not want to get married. She was saying about us getting married in July when they are up but we do not want this and I am now getting worried that we will get bullied into it.

I then checked my E-Mails and I saw once from my friend so I decided to phone her up for a chat. I have not spoken to her for a while. We had a really funky chat. She also thinks that Devil boy and I should get married. I just do not see the point.

The only things I have to do is tidy up a bit and feed the twins before crashing. I am hoping to try and get an early night so that I can get as much sleep as possible before Wolfie wakes in the night.

A low morning but thankfully a funky afternoon

The night shift did not go well at all last night. I was feeling really down byt the time I got to bed. The twins needed feeding and I really needed to get some time to myself before I went to sleep.

I managed to get some reading done thankfully but that meant that it was 2am before I started to try to get to sleep (I lost track of the time) the only problem though was I was not able to get to sleep no matter what I d8id.

Wolfie then woke up at around 3am. I was too mentally drained to deal with him so I just took him through to Devil boy. I then even6tually managed to get to sleep but it still took a while. Ws very thankful in the morning that I managed to wake up but not feel too tired. I was still unfortunately feeling down and no matter what happened that morning it seemed to make me feel worse.


I changed and fed the twins while Devil boy went out with Wolfie and started to cut the grass. I managed to get some washing done. The weather was so warm I thought I would take advantage.

It was when I got out that my mood began to lift. Thankfully by lunchtime I was feeling much better. I got some lunch sorted out for Wolfie and I and as the first batch of washing done I then decided to wash the bedding.

I then decided to start sorting through the coat cupboard. I managed to clear some space in there so we can get in and out without trouble. I also found some sun lotion that we were able to put on Wolfie as he was beginning to catch the sun. I also managed to find a hat (which he actually kept on)

Te afternoon went really well. I was feeling much better by that point and I was actually beginning to feel optimistic about the summer this year. I had a feeling that the summer will be a very funky one. I am still having my low moments but they are getting less and less and this is good as this is normally the worst time of the year for me.

Devil boys daughter came around. She played with Wolfie before going out. I then kept him entertained in the back garden when Devil boy was mowing the front garden. I managed to make good progress with the shed. I have already got things ready for the bin tomorrow when it gets emptied.

I then had to go out to the shop to get some things before dinner (though I forgot to get the thing that I was after, darn bad memory) I was glad to get out for a walk and after dinner I played with Wolfie. I went onto the Cbeebies website and managed to get a Padawan braid in his hair. I am going to get a tie so I can put a proper one in tomorrow.

Devil boy bathed Wolfie tonight and I managed to get the cleaning up done and feed Elbereth while he did that. Devil boy cheated tonight and read until he was asleep byut I was really not in the mood for a repeat of last night. We will see what happens tomorrow though.

I was able to get out bedding ready and then get a lovely soak in the bath. I always have to have a bath when I have clean bedding.

Hopefully we will all get a funky nights rest tonight. I am going to make sure that I get to bed early again so that at least Devil boy can get a good sleep.

Wolfies sleeping pattern is not good at the moment

The night shift did not go too well. Wolfie woke up at 12 but thankfully settled off without problem but when he woke up at around 3 and I took him through to Devil boy then as I was too tire to sort him out.

The twins also woke during the night but thankfully they settled off nicely. I read for a bit in bed after I fed them before I got up. I then made Wolfie and I breakfast before sorting out the nappy wash.

After breakfast I went through to change and feed the twins. The rest of the morning passed the same as usual. Wolfie had fun in the garden running about and I managed to get some more reading done.

Wolfie was showing signs of tiredness but I decided to wait until our food order had arrived before sorting him out for a nap. Devil boy then went to get his teeth sorted out and shortly after our food order arrived.

We had something to eat and I was able to get him off for a nap. He had a good nap and I managed to get the shopping put away and make some soup before going to feed the twins again.

Devil boy had got bad from the dentist. He has unfortunately had to have one of his back teeth removed. Because there was such a long time in-between appointments the tooth had gotten so bad. I do not know what the dentist could not have seen him sooner than 6 weeks.

It made me think about registering with the local det9ist. He told me that the appointment went well though. I will have a think over the next week what to do.


Wolfie woke up while I was sorting out the twins but Devil boy gave him a dummy so he had fell asleep again. I was able to get some diner and browse the Internet for a bit.

I had to wake Wolfie up but he was not interested in his dinner at all. In the end though we managed to get him to eat some custard and some bread. Devil boy then bathed him while I got his room ready. I put him to bed but he would not settle off.

Now matter what we did hew would settle off. Unfortunately after trying for over an hour and a half I shouted at him. This though unfortunately worked. He settled off to sleep. I hope his sleeping gets back to normal, as tonight has not been fun.

Elbereth has also been very unsettled and what with Devil boy wanting an early night I have had no time to myself at all today.

I am off to bed now.

Too big for pre-pregnancy clothes but too small for maternity clothes

The night shift did not go too badly. Wolfie woke up during the night but he settled off quickly thankfully.

Wolfie then slept until nearly 6, which is really good. The twins also slept really well and they woke up at around 6am for a feed. I managed to wake up at around 8 but I fed the twins and decided to let Devil boy get the breakfast ready today while I lay in bed and read. I am enjoying how the story is developing so I thought I would read for a bit while not feeding.

I got up and as the weather was sunny I put in a wash load. I then got some breakfast and browsed the internet before going to get the twins changed ready for going out to the rhyme and time in the afternoon.

I was sorting through my clothes for something to wear. I am at the annoying stage where maternity clothes are far too big for me but my pre-pregnancy clothes are too small. I managed to squeeze into a pair of trousers though and put a dress over the top to disguise how I have has to squeeze into my trousers. My belly is toning nicely so I am hoping that it will not be too long before they fit nicely.

I decided that I would take Wolfie in the pram on the way over and carry one of the twins and get Wolfie to walk on the way home. The group went really well and while Wolfie was tired he was not too bad. We managed to get him to sit for some of the rhymes. The twins were also wake for the most of the group and I got them to join in with the rhymes.

Wolfie did a really good job of walking home though. He was moaning near the end but that was not only because he was tired but also because the hill near our home is a long climb. He was also really good while I stood and chatted to a woman who lives on our street for a few minutes.

When we got home I managed to get a snack for Wolfie and I as we were both hungry. I then fed the twins before trying to enter a competition online.

Wolfie was by that point getting very grumpy but thankfully after dinner and getting a drink he started to get a lot better.

Devil boy then ran his bath while I started sorting through some of the stuff that I have got in the kitchen. Wolfie pottered around happily enough. Devil boy then bathed Wolfie and put him to bed. He unfortunately read to him until he fell asleep. I do not want this to happen too often though as it will only make things worse in the long term.

I then changed and fed the twins while I chatted to mum on the phone. We had a really funky chat. I unfortunately found out that I would not be able to wear the trousers that I picked today until I have lost more weight as the zip is now falling down a lot due to me squeezing into them. Oops.

After I sorted the twins I cleaned the kitchen, sorted out a nappy wash and browsed the Internet. I will give them another quick feed before I go to bed. I will try and get to bed as early as possible as Devil boy is not feeling too well.

Trying to get Wolfies sleeping sorted out

The night shift did not go too badly. I managed to get to bed at a reasonable time. I was just trying to get to sleep when Wolfie woke up. Devil boy went through to see to him but he did not settle. I went through and I managed to get him to settle.

He then woke up at around 5am and I took him through to Devil boy. I am not sure why his sleeping is all over the place but I hope it gets back to normal soon.

The twins woke up and had feeds at around 6am. I managed to get up at around 8.30 though and get breakfast ready for Wolfie and I. I also managed to clean the kitchen up as well while I was waiting for our breakfasts to cool. I noticed that it was raining as predicted so I decided to leave the washing out anyway. It will dry when the weather changes and there is not anything out there that we really need. It will be good to take a day off washing as well.

The morning went well and I managed to place a order with Tesco for some food before I went to get the twins changed and fed. I also managed to read to them a bit. I am unfortunately finding that with the book that I have it is so thick that I have unfortunately creases the spine. I am not very happy about it. Thankfully it does not look too bad. I will have to be extra vigilant to make sure that I do not cause any more damage. I wish they would make paperbacks in a way that would not break the spine/. I know this is possible, as I have seen it done on some books. All that has to be done is the spine for the pages are separate from the outer cover.

I then had to go out to the shop to get some soya milk and yoghurt for Wolfie. I am using any excuse to get out for a brisk walk to help keep me fit and burn extra calories. When I got back I could not see Devil boy or Wolfie. After a quick search I saw tat Devil boy was truing to get him off for a nap.

I took over when I got in and I managed to get him off for a nap. He needed it as he was getting tired and very cranky. Devil boy then went off to his friend house to watch the football.

I just read for a bit and browsed the Internet while he slept. I brought the twins through into the living room ready for when Wolfie woke. He managed to get a good nap but he was very cranky for a while after that. I thankfully managed to get him to calm down.

I had a funky afternoon. I had some fun with Wolfie and changed and fed the twins. Wolfie was really good while I did this and kissed the twins and tried to help out as well.

I managed to make some dinner for Wolfie and get his room ready for him while he pottered about. I think I am getting to the point where I can leave him alone in the room with the twins without having to worry. I was just bout to start running his bath when Devil boy got back in. I actually was not expecting him back that early but he was able to help out and cleared the toys from the living room for me while I bathed Wolfie.

He unfortunately did not settle off to sleep after I had read to him. It took several attempts to get him to sleep. Devil boy managed to get him to settle while I was in the bath. I really felt like a soak in the bath and I decided that Wolfie was not going to stop me.

I had a lovely soak in the bath and I sorted out my hair. I decided that when I was soaking in the bath the only thing that will sort out his sleeping is going to be the tough mummy approach. It will have to unfortunately be the controlled crying way but I am hoping that it will not take that long for it to get sorted again.




When I got out I managed to add some things onto my food order that I had forgotten to order earlier.

I then browsed the Internet and found out some really ad news about one of my Internet friends. She went for a scan recently and she found that there was a problem with her son. She’s had such bad luck and I really hoped that everything would be well for her. It seems so unfair.

I then sorted out the twins and gave them their night feed after changing them. I could not help think about how blessed I am while I was feeding them.

I went to the parentcraft class reunion

The night shift went well. Wolfie did not wake up during the night and slept until 7am. I thought that was really funky.

The twins woke up at around 6am for a feed. I think they are having a growth spurt as they have been taking a few feeds.

I managed to get up at around 9 though and get breakfast ready for Wolfie and I.

I changed and got the twins ready and while they napped I tidied up a little in the kitchen and sorted out some washing. Devil boy took Wolfie over to his grandmas while I got ready to go out to the parentcraft reunion. Devil boy did not want to come along to the reunion with me.

I did lose track of time at once point but thankfully all I had to do was put jackets on the twins and put them in the pram and dash out for the train. I was worried at first when I got to the train station, as there was no one there. Thankfully though it was because I was there early and I was able to get the train. I had a funky chat with a nice couple on the train on the way over.

The reunion went really well. It was nice seeing some of the other women that went to the parentcraft classes with me and see not only how some of the twins have got along but also to see the twins that have been born since the last reunion.


There was a woman who was due a day or two before me and she had her twins on new years day. She was telling me that she is really not looking forward to going back to work. She was also telling me that they are not being very nice to her as well. She was trying to work out different things so that she would not have to go into work often but still work the same amount of hours but they were not cooperating at all. She said that she never thought that =she would feel like this before she has her twins.

There were a few of us that had one boy and one girl. There were four sets of boy/girl twins. The twin’s were really good and the midwife who was running was lovely to me. She held one of the twins while I dealt with the other. He also made me a cup of tea. It was really nice and I had a funky chat with the others.

I managed to get a bit of reading on the train back home as Elbereth and Malach fell asleep. The afternoon has been exciting for them as well.

When I got back I sorted out the washing. I took the nappies off the line and put out the new washing before feeding the twins and getting some lunch.

They settled quickly and Devil boy asked me to go out and fetch some Guinness for him while he bathed Wolfie. When I was out at the local shop I decided that I would go to a different shop as they still have the special offer on them. I also felt like a nice walk as well. The weather was nice to walk in.

I was happy when I got back to find that Devil boy had managed to get Wolfies room ready so I did not need to do anything apart from feed the twins. Devil boy read till Wolfie was asleep. He thankfully stayed asleep though. We will see what the night brings though.

He was going to tidy up the living room when I told him that I would do it. After I had got the twins settled I managed to clean the toys up, and clean the kitchen and fold up the nappies and clear the sofa just in time to give the twins their last feed of the day. I also watched the documentary the blue planet. It is so interesting.

I changed and fed them so all I need to do is quickly wipe the sides in the kitchen get a drink and rest and read for maybe 15minutes before crashing.

Now that I have started sorting the shed I cannot stop

The night shift did not go to well unfortunately. Wolfies sleeping pattern is not good at the moment. He woke up at around 12.30 but thankfully I managed to get him settled off back to sleep.

I then was able to get to bed but at 4am both Elbereth and Malach woke up. Malach woke just before Elbereth so he got fed first. I had eventually got them both settled off by about 6.30.

Wolfie got up at around 6.45 and by 7 Malach needed feeding again. Thankfully I managed to get naps while feeding them. I intended to get up at 8 but I fell asleep again until around 9am.

It took me a while to wake up when I got up. I sorted breakfast for Wolfie and I and I managed to get Wolfie and the twins bedding washed. The day was looking like it would be a good clothes drying day so I thought I would take advantage.

The morning went well and I managed to get the twins sorted out and I got some reading done while I was feeding them. I am really enjoying the book that I am reading. The story is really developing nicely.

Once I fed them I put the washing out. I sorted out a nappy wash before going out into the shed to carry on working on the stuff that I have out there. I took our dining table from our kitchen and put it in the shed now there is room for it. There is not enough room in the kitchen for it and it will not be a problem to get it from the shed. I then was able to sort through all of the CD’s and sort out the ones that we will keep. After that I sorted out all of my books into neat piles. I had forgotten how many books that I had. A lot of them I have not even read. I had so much time to read and now that I have not got the time I am managing to get more reading done.

I stayed out most of the afternoon and Wolfie was happy to run about the garden playing with the toys. I came in at one point to feed the twins but once they were fed I went back outside to continue work. I stared sorting through all of the clothes that I am to use for material for my collages. I also found a lot of my old t-shirts. I put them in the washing machine to wash. I think I will cut them up and make them smaller. Unfortunately most concert t-shirts are usually huge on me and I do not like wearing those style t-shirts anymore so I will have to alter them.

I managed to quickly sort through the clothes and decide which ones I will use for the collages and which ones I will put in the local clothes bank. I have found that now that I have really started sorting through the shed I cannot stop so I am trying to get as much done as possible while I am in this clear out mood. I really think I can get all of my clutter sorted out in the next month.


While I was looking through the clothes I found two wonderful tops that would be great for the collage that I am working on for my friend. I now know why I was not able to get motivated to finish it. I am so glad that I waited as I have found the perfect background and I am really much looking forward to starting the collage.

I then had dinner and got Wolfies room ready for him to go to bed. I bathed him and got him ready for bed. I thought that he would be all right tonight but as I was leaving the room he started crying.

It again took a while to settle him off again. It is becoming a battle to get settle him off to sleep at the moment. Devil boy was able to get him settled while I was out to the shop.

I have managed to get the nappies out on the line and fold the clothes that I managed to get washed in the afternoon. It is a really funky night. It was lovely and cool and there was such a peaceful atmosphere that I just wanted to stay outside.

I have also managed to get all of the cleaning up done so all I have to do is change and feed the twins before I crash. I have decided again to leave replying to my friends E-Mails in the morning.

In a bad mood in the morning but thankfully a funky afternoon

The night shift did not go too badly. I managed to get to bed for a reasonable time and Wolfie slept until around 6am which was really funky.

I woke up to feed Malach around 8am but I fell asleep again and I got up not long before 10. I was so mad with myself though for getting up so late. I was also mad with myself because I forgot what day it was.

I was in a really bad mood all morning and I had to rush around getting ready for Homestart. I managed to get the twins ready and feed them before I was picked up.

Homestart went really well and the twins were really good. I fed Elbereth and the other ladies there held them for me while I relaxed and did competitions. The others at the group are so funky as they help me a lot getting them all in and out of the mini bus.

Thankfully when I got back home I was feeling much better. Though it was Wolfies turn to be in a grumpy mood. I decided to take him outside, as he loves being outside.

While I was outside I decided to get some decluttering done. I managed to sort through a lot of things. I have pulled all of my books in one area and I have sorted through a lot of things. I have filled up our dustbin already. I am really pleased with what I have managed to get done. I always think that cleaning up gets so much easier to do once progress has been made.


While I was sorting through I found some photographs. They were of when I lived in Nottingham. It was lovely seeing them again. I love how things have turned out but I like looking at things that happened before. I also found the photograph that I wanted to turn into a collage for my friend. I will have to get started on that soon.

When I got in Dev boy told me that there was a sale on the Internet for TV’s. I had a look at them and I saw some others that were not in the sale but were a good price. I then decided that we should just save up for the TV instead. We are just beginning to get back in control of out credit card bill so I do not want to put it up again.

We then had some dinner and I went through to feed the twins before Wolfie had his bath. I then cleared up his toys and got his bedroom ready. Wolfie did not settle off again unfortunately. Thankfully I managed to get him settled off swiftly but I had to read to him until he was asleep. Hopefully he will get back to normal once he is feeling better.

This meant that Devil boy and I were able to get a romantic meal together. I was really nice. We had some Champagne with the meal as well that my brother got for us when the twins were born. It was all right but a bit too bubbly. I think if we are to have it again we will have it with strawberries in it. I only had two small glasses of it and I feel rather tipsy. I am really going off this feeling and I actually think I could happily not drink again. I am drinking less and less so I think it is already happening.

It then sorted out the twins and chatted to my mum. We had a funky chat. She is in Derbyshire at the moment. I think she is happy to be up north again. She likes it in Cornwall but she is a northern girl at heart.

I am definitely going to make sure that I got an early night tonight so that I get a good rest. I only have to tidy up and feed the twins before going to bed. I am also going to go on the online computer game that I like playing. I have some messages to reply to but I will get them done tomorrow when I am sober.

A non-stop day

The night shift did not go too badly. I was in bed later than I wanted though. The nights seem to fly by and by the time I have got every thing done it is late.

Wolfie did not sleep too badly. He woke up around 5am, which was not too bad. I took him through to Devil boy and I managed to get a bit more sleep.

I managed to get up early though and I fed the twins before I got breakfast and sorted out some washing. I am not sure why though but for some reason Devil boy and I were irritating each other.

I kept myself busy in the morning and I cleaned the kitchen floor and cleaning the kitchen.

I was quite happy when Devil boy went to his friend’s house to sort out his computer. I was then able to get Wolfie off for a nap before going to sort the twins out.

I managed to reply to a friends E-Mail and then get some lunch ready for Wolfie while he slept. I even managed to get some rest before Wolfie woke up. While he ate his lunch I got the nappies in from outside and put the washing out.

I then had a nice time with Wolfie and I even managed to hover his room. It was very sweet when I was hovering. Wolfie was trying to hover up as well.

Devil boy got home shortly after and within the hour his daughter came around so I was able to get some work done on the back room. I managed to get quite a big done. I am hoping to get the room nice and funkily decluttered as soon as possible.


The afternoon went well and I made a batch of soup for out dinner. Wolfie ate it, which I was happy about.

The rest of the afternoon went funkily. I tidied up and got Wolfies room ready for him before I got his bath ready for him, as it is my turn to pout him to be tonight.

He had a funky bath and I read to him but he would not settle off again. I think it is because he has not been well but it took us a long time to get him settled off in the end.

After we managed to get him settled I fed Elbereth and had a lovely soak in the bath.

I have to change and feed Mach before getting to bed but I have to make sure that I have a quick tidy up so that I can get to bed as soon as possible so that Devil boy can get a good sleep. Tonight has gone by once again so quickly.
