Christmas party for the younglings

Even though I went to bed very late last night (watching TV, getting cleaning done late and then disturbed by the younglings) I managed to get up at the time I wanted to and get everyone ready in plenty of time to get the train. I managed to get on the train with no problems and I saw some of the women who go to the Thursday homestart group so I was able to make sure that I went to the right place.

The party went well. My eldest had more fun this time, as he is older. The twins also really enjoyed it this year as well. I did not take my youngest son with me last year so it was good to take them all. There was Homestart staff there to help out as well which was nice as I went on my own.

They had an entertainer there and then Santa came along to give out the presents. My eldest got a funky dominos kit. Not the type with numbers but the ones that you stack up to knock down. My youngest son got a truck, which he really liked and my daughter got a soft toy, which she loved. Bless her she loves soft toys. She has taken it to bed with her.

My eldest was really good though. I told him that he would get 6 chocolate buttons if he stayed dry. He did do so and he also asked to go to the toilet, which I was so happy about. That meant that I let him wear his Lord Vader costume. He was really happy to wear that. Bless him he was going around telling everyone that he was Lord Vader. Hopefully it might be him getting back on track with his toilet training (hopefully)

By the time we got out it was raining so the twins were fine in their pram as I had the rain cover with me but my eldest and I got wet on the way to the train station. After lugging the pram up the steps to the platform I discovered that the next train had been cancelled. This would have meant that we would have been waiting for over an hour in the rain for the next train. Sadly there are no busses that go to where I stay that have a buggy zone on them. Thankfully I was able to phone Devil Boys mum (there was a pay pone on the platform) and her and his dad was able to pick us up from the station and take us home.

My step daughter is over for the night. She has got her DS lite with her. She was able to get it with her birthday money. It is really funky so I am definitely going to get one. I am going to wait until after Christmas though as the places that have them in stock are selling them at silly prices (at least double their recommended price) I am looking forward to getting it. I think I will get the big brain academy for it and the Sims. I am not sure what else art the moment. I will find something though.
