We also watched Toy Story one and two today with the younglings. They have never seen them before and they really liked them. They did not sit down for the whole of the time, but they did really well. My eldest had got a book based on the first film so he was able to follow along with the film with his book. He enjoyed mathing the pictures in the book with the scene in the film.
We did have some bother with the neighbors again today. The younglings went through a ten minute madness that can happen to them from time to time. This was greeted by them banging down on the floor to us. That really annoyed us both, in particular my partner who hear it (I was cleaning at the time) he said it sounded like they bashed with a hammer.
He wanted to go up and see them as it is not right them acting like this. It is bullying and intimidating behaviour. It was fine for them to do their DIY and make lots of banging noises, but it is not fine for our children to every so often have a bit of a mad run around. They could be in for a big shock when their twin boys become children (unless of course they just kick them out to play outside so that they do not have to hear the noise)
It was just annoying that it seems to be all right for them to make a noise, but not us. It was not unreasonable and they did calm down shortly after they banged down to us. Thankfully we have not heard anything since, but it does seem really childish of them to act like this. The sooner we get a new home the better. It is a shame that we cannot get a detached home. Or like a croft with lots of room.
I would love to live in a house like this:
I know it would seem strange to some people, but I would prefer a place like this over a huge mansion. I have no desire to live in a huge home. I think something like this would be idea for a family of my size. I think there is definitely enough room for five.
