Off to the beach

Yesterday when I collected my son from school he told me that we were going to the beach today. He had told the teachers. I had not planned on going, but I thought 'why not'

So today after lunch we got the train to Aberdour.

I went first to the Witch shop there. The woman there was so nice as she brought out paper and crayons for the wee ones to keep them entertained. that also meant that I could look around the shop in peace. It is such a funky shop. I really like it there. I need to make the effort to get there more often.

It was not that warm and I should have taken a jumper for my daughter as bless her she was cold on the beach. We had a funky time though and the boys managed to do a bit of exploring after their initial complaints about being cold (My daughter just stayed on the blanket that I had put on the beach wearing one of my tops)

After we spent some time on the beach we went to the park. The park is great and the wee ones loved it. It was warmer there as we were away from the sea front.

The wee ones were generally good, though there were moments when they would not listen and they messed around. We all enjoyed today though and I am really glad that we did it.
