I think the iron tablets are taking effect already because even after a broken nights sleep I feel so much better today. I have also been eating lots of broccoli so hopefully that has helped as well.
Devil boy took Wolfie over to his grandma’s house when he went to collect his daughter so I had several hours to myself. I decided that as I was feeling better than yesterday I would clear the bed in the back room so that Devil boys daughter has somewhere to sleep tonight.
I managed to clear the bed in the back room and make it ready for tonight and clear the floor as well as clean the living room as well as the kitchen. Even though I have been busy today I do not feel bad for it.
I am planning to work a little on the twin’s room everyday so that I do not overdo it and wear myself out. It does not now seem so daunting what I need to do to the twin’s room. Once I have found a new home for all of our books and things I will just need to take the wallpaper off, paint it and make collages for the wall. I have a cot with bedding ready for it and a baby gym that needs some repair work for it (it has a puncture) I am really looking forward to seeing it complete.
I am also planning to decorate Wolfies bedroom. I have not decorated it for him and have been meaning to work on it since it became his room. The only thing that needs to be done though it that I need to repair his pool (his play pit) and make some collages for the walls. I am going to make the collages to a fantasy theme with a castle, dragons etc on the wall.
I have washed Wolfies old clothes and today they were dry so all I needed to do was take them off the radiator, fold them up and put them away ready for when the twins arrive. It was lovely looking at all of the little clothes; it really does not seem that long since Wolfie was able to fit in them. It is hard to imagine at the moment that in less than two months time there will be two babies that might even be too small for Wolfies smallest clothes.
It is going to be very strange caring for a newborn again after being with Wolfie. When he was a newborn I had never done looked after a baby before so I had a lot to learn but even though I am now well practiced with Wolfie it will still be new as I will need to learn how to care for two newborns at once when I am used to looking after someone who is not as helpless as a newborn anymore. I also must remember to be gentle with the twins when changing nappies (and using the newborn fold) as well as of remembering to support their neck. I am sure that when they are here I will do it all like it is second nature to me. It will also be a challenge changing for the needs of a newborn to the needs of a toddler.
But for now I am just making the most of enjoying my pregnancy and spending time with Wolfie.
