Dealing with challenges

My youngest son can be challenging at times. He is not listening to me, being too loud and rough. He is throwing things around as well.

I have found a way to deal with his shouting. He is like me and has a loud voice. He was being really loud and normally what I would do would be to raise my voice to tell him to be quiet. However today I went up to him and quietly told him to be quiet. I did not get mad with him, but I told him that he needed to be quiet. He did it and was much quieter. I will have to make sure that I keep doing that and let my partner know that he also needs to do the same.

I am not too happy with myself though. I had so many plans for stuff I would be doing around the home, but I did not get much of it done. The day has flown by. I have got some things done though and that is still good. I have managed to sort out a bag of soft toys to take to the charity shop. All I need to do is wash them and they will be ready.
