parents evening

Today I went to the school for my eldest sons parents night.

The teacher is happy with how he is doing. She says that he is good at writing, reading and maths. The only thing that he has to work on is his attention. He struggles to sit still and can act silly at times. That did not surprise me though as it is not the first time that I have heard it. It is not a problem at the moment, but we need to start doing something about it before it does become a problem.

The teacher had a lot of good things to say about him though and she said that she was a fan of him, as she says that he has a good personality.

I need to look into how I can help him with his attention though. I remember struggling when I was younger with it, so I am not sure if it is something that he has inherited from me. But I will see what I can do to help him improve. I think it will make school easier for him if he is able to sit still and concentrate better for longer.
