Malach woke up at around 6am but he settled quickly after a feed. Wolfie woke up at around 6.30. I thought that was really good for his first night in a proper bed.
As Devil boy’s daughter was coming around this morning I decided to get up early as well. I managed to get up at just gone 8am so I was really pleased with myself. I had breakfast and then went though to change and feed Malach. I decided that this morning I would read to him while doing this.
I was planning on making fairy cakes with Devil boys daughter this morning before we all went up to the doctors. I managed to write out the ingredients and the instructions so I knew what to do. She unfortunately was not staying as long as I thought so we had to delay the fairy cake making until Saturday. We will get it done though.
I had a little lunch and got something for Wolfie before I went through and got Elbereth up, changed, dressed and fed. I then got the twins ready to go out to the doctors. Devil boy got Wolfie ready and came up to the doctors with me.
We made good progress up the road and we managed to get quite a bit along before we needed to pick up Wolfie for speed in getting up the road. We had to wait a while though at the doctors. We were 10 minutes early in the end but the doctor was late in calling us through.
Thankfully he did not mind us bringing Wolfie along even though we had not made an appointment for him. He looked at him and prescribed antibiotics for his swollen finger. He also told us that if the swelling does not start to go down within 48 hours that we should take him to casualty.
He had a quick look at the twins and as they were sleeping he did not disturb them. It was easy to tell what was the problem with them though. He prescribed antibiotic drops for their eyes. He told me that the best way to use them is to put a drop in their eyes when I am feeding them.
Devil boy then went back home with Wolfie and I decided to call and see my friend. She unfortunately was not in when I called so I went back home. On the way home I though I would call in and see another friend who lives near me. She unfortunately was also not in so I have not had much luck for visiting friends today. I will have to try with the friend who lives nearest though as I remembered today that I said that I would call around on Tuesday.
When I got back home though the twins were sleeping and Wolfie was over tired but I decided that I would make the fairy cakes anyway. I would test how easy they were to make before I make them on Saturday. They were so easy to make. All I had to do was measure out the ingredients, mix them, put them into cases and then bake them. Even though it was so easy I was so proud of myself. I have been meaning to start baking for so long now. Now that I remember how easy it is I really do not think I will buy any cakes anymore. I am going to have a go at baking muffins soon. I just need to get the cases for them. I am a born again baker.
Wolfie though was getting inconsolable though. I thought that as this was a one off I put a dummy in his mouth as the cakes were in the oven. To my surprise though he fell asleep on the floor and slept for about an hour and a half. He really needed the sleep and once he had properly woken from his nap he was much happier for it. Devil boy was telling me that he had fell asleep in his arms when he carried him home from the doctors.
Wolfie though liked the fairy cakes that I baked. Devil boy and I also thought they were really funky as well. I have decided though that I will make butterfly cakes on Saturday though instead. I think they look really pretty.
We put Wolfie in the bath later than usual because he had napped late in the afternoon. Even though he was tired he did not settle off to sleep first time. Thankfully after I had read to him he settled off nicely. It was so sweet though. As I was walking out of the room and waving goodnight to him he was waving back to me. It really did make me feel so proud of him.
I then browsed the Internet for a while and then I cleared the kitchen up and folded the clothes that I had got in from earlier. After then I then went through to get Malach up. He had been asleep since I took him out in the pram up to the doctors. He was still asleep in the pram. I couldn’t believe he had slept for so long. I got him up at around 10pm so that I could give him a good feed before we went to bed. I am planning on giving them both a quick feed before I get to bed. I am beginning to really feel tired now.
