Though Wolfie woke up again at 2am. It took several times before he settled off to sleep through and I was really shattered and rather irritable by then. He unfortunately he did not stay asleep either. He woke up at just before 3 and I decided that I would take him through to Devil boy. I was thinking at the time that it is amusing that my three-month-old twins sleep better that he does at the moment. I really do not know why he is not sleeping well but I am going to try and tuck his sheets tomorrow night and see if that makes any difference.
In the morning it took me a while to wake up from my disturbed sleep. I gave Malach a feed in bed at around 7am and I fed Elbereth at around 9am before I got up. Once I got up though I felt all right and Devil boy made breakfast for me this morning.
After breakfast I browsed the Internet and went through to sort out the twins. I managed to make a start on the next Star Wars book. It is The Empire strikes back. I am really enjoying reading the books. I thought they would follow the films but there are differences at points which are interesting to read and you get an insight to how the characters are feeling and their thoughts.

Devil boy took his daughter back home and he then went to his friend’s house to watch the football. My friend then came around and dropped off a highchair. It is really funky and it will be really good for Wolfie to use. It can be lowered and it is a good level for him. He can climb into it and he does like it.
When she left I made some lunch for Wolfie and I managed to get use out of the high chair. He sat happily and ate his lunch. This gave me the chance to go out and not only bring in the nappies but also put out the wash load that I had washed in the morning. I then had some lunch and shared it with him.
Devil boy was not gone for long and not too long after he got back he went out in the back garden with Wolfie. He loves being outside and he loves running about and exploring while I fed the twins. Unfortunately though at some point there were some motorbikes racing through the woods at the back of our home, which really scared Wolfie. He ran back into the house, which he normally never does. I am going to have to get something done about that. It is not fair that we are excluded from walking around the wood but to scare Wolfie in his own back garden is not right.
We then had dinner and Devil boy was really feeling tired so I told him that I would put Wolfie to bed for a change. I cleaned up his room and sorted it out for bed and then once the bath had run I bathed him. It was nice doing this for a change and I also soaked my feet in the bath.
I read to him and then he settled off nicely. I remembered to tuck in his sheets. We will see how he sleeps through the night.
Elbereth was unsettled so I decided to give her a bath before I fed her. She really enjoyed her bath. She was unsure at first but after floating her in the bath she settled and was really happy. I then fed her and put her in her basket and went to sort out Malach. I decided not to bathe him tonight but I will get that sorted tomorrow. It will be a lot easier when they can support themselves as I can bathe them at the same time.
I took him through to get changed when I noticed that Wolfie was crying so I went through o see to him. I think I tucked in the sheets too tightly and he could not turn over very well. He was crying and half asleep. I cuddled him and put him back in the bed and lightly tucked in the sheets.
While I was sorting out Malach I could hear Wolfie still crying but thankfully by the time I had changed his nappy he had settled off again. Hopefully it will go well tonight. If not then it will be back to the drawing board. I must get something out though before Devil boy goes to the festival that he is going to.
I spoke to mum while I fed Malach and I had a really nice chat with her. She is getting on well and dad is still making nice recovery. They are going to get him checked on Wednesday so hopefully he will be all right. It is his 3-month post operation check.
The twins settled off after their feed and all I have to do is clean up and give the twins their last feed before crashing. Hopefully tonight’s night shift will go better tonight.
