The weather has been really wild here today. It started off with rain and strong wind. The younglings were not happy walking to nursery and school at all. Bless my daughter was screaming by the time we got there and one of the teachers needed to sit with her to calm her down and help me get them sorted out.
The same teacher was going up to the school so bless her she gave me a lift home. This gave me chance to get some jobs done before the environmental health person came around.
He checked the place and told us that we have got rising damp in the bedrooms and he was not happy with the oven in the kitchen as well as the units. He told us that he will be contacting our landlord and that we would be getting a letter so that we can get more points toward another house. Hopefully this will help us get to the top of the list. We really could do with moving house this year.
I was not looking forward to getting out in the afternoon to collect my eldest. I thought about taking the twins around to my mother in laws house while I collected him but she phoned back and suggested that it would be better if she just picked him up herself and brought him up the road. I was so pleased about this as it saved the twins getting out in the wild weather.
It has rained all day. There was times when there was bits of snow but mostly rain. My partner checked the weather forecast and he told me that we have severe weather warnings for this area for the night. Blizzards, snow drifts etc. The snow is here at the moment so it will be interesting to see what it looks like in the morning, as well as to see how far the wind has blown the younglings house in the back garden (we are on top of the brae so we are exposed to the wind here)
