The night shift started a lot later that I wanted to. I managed to get into bed at 2am. Malach had still not settled so I put him alongside me and me fell asleep nicely.
I needed to feed them at about 6.30 after I had gone to take Wolfie through to Devil boy. I then was able to get another good sleep (with a really strange dream in which I was Frodo from Lord of the rings and I was on the run form the Ring-wraiths. It was also strange because I ended up at the town that I grew up in and there was Aunt Petunia from the Harry Potter books)
I got up late which while I needed the sleep I really do not like getting up late so I am going to make sure that I go to bed earlier so that I will be able to get up earlier. Though I will have to get up earlier tomorrow as we are going to get the twins registered. We should have got them registered a while ago but we have not got around to doing it yet.
When I got up I had some breakfast and then took Wolfie through to try and get him off for a nap. I was also happy to see that the Star Wars book tat I ordered recently has arrived. I am building up a nice collection of Star Wars books now. While I was changing the twins I noticed that Malach had got a little nappy rash. I put some cream on I but when I changed Elbereth her rash was a lot worse. The rash looked really nasty. It had white bits and was bleeding. Thankfully there is a baby clinic on tomorrow so I will make sure we get back from registering them quickly and take them up to the clinic to not only get weighed but so the health visitors can have a look at the rash.
Unfortunately Wolfie did not mange to get off for a nap. He was not in too much of a grumpy mood though as at least my attempt at getting him off for a nap has meant that he has lay down for a bit.
The afternoon went well and while the twins took naps I was able to spend time with Wolfie. He has again been funky. I am kind of feeling like at the moment the jobs are never ending. I looked around and there are clothes that need to be put away, nappies that need to be sorted out, clothes that need to be taken out of the washing machine, two tops that need to be cut up for wipes to use with the twins. Then of course Wolfie needs to be kept happy. Thankfully Devil boy is changing him most of the time. Though I am still not getting off that job as the twins need to be changed, fed and winded. LOL I know it will not be like this for long but it certainly is very busy at the moment. LOL when I get a spare moment I am a little lost at what to do with the time. Though I would not have it any other way. I am feeling the happiest that I have felt in a long time and while I still have my moments they are a lot easier to deal with than before and they are a lot less frequent.
I am very pleased with myself though as I have now learned a little Gaelic. I have only managed to look at the language website a few times in the last week but I have managed to learn this ‘Ciamar a tha sibh?’ which means How are you? (This is the formal version. For the informal version you say thu instead of sibh) it is not a lot but it is a start which is funky. I have even been saying little bits to Wolfie as well when I have had the chance. He looked at me a little strangely though.
Wolfie settled off to sleep nicely again tonight and when I got back from going out to get Soya milk I managed to cut up one of the tops into wipes to use with the twins and then the rest of the time I have spent the rest of the time changing, feeding and winding the twins. I have managed to get some competitions filled out while feeding them though, which is good. I am still hoping that my ship will come in one day.
The things that I have got to do before I start the night shift is to sort out the nappies, sort out the clothes that came off the radiators and put the next batch of clothes out. I am hoping that I can get all of that done and still get to bed earlier than last night (I have my fingers crossed)
