A very productive day and some news about dad

The night shift did not start off too well. Wolfie did not wake tonight but unfortunately Malach would not settle off at first. I eventually brought him into bed with me at 2am, as he did not seem for settling off. Elbereth settled off at bout 1am but not him.

He had a good feed and then he settled off nicely. He slept well then and they both woke up at around 6am for a feed. Wolfie woke up at around 6.30 so I am hoping that his sleeping patter is getting funky again.

I got up at around 10.30 and when I went though to the living room both Wolfie and Devil boy were in bed watching cartoons. It was quite cute to see. Wolfie looks cute as he sits in bed properly.

I managed to get a wash load in and then I got some breakfast and then dealt with the twins. I am really enjoying eating porridge for breakfast and Wolfie shared quite a bit of mine. I must admit that I am really happy that he still loves eating porridge as I think that is the best breakfast for him.

I was planning to take Wolfie and the twins up to Kevin’s Grandmas when we got a phone call from Devil boys mum. She was in the area and she wanted to drop off some clothes that Devil boy’s dad’s sister had passed on to us. They called in and dropped off the clothes (very funky as well) and they took Wolfie up the road with them to his grandmas.

I was just about to get the twins ready to take them up when Devil boys mum phoned to say that they were taking Wolfie out with them. I started then working on clearing the back room, as the twin’s were asleep at that point. I wanted to sort the twin’s clothes out as they are in such a mess at the moment. They are just scattered about the place and I wanted to organise them so they were easy to find and the outfits were all in one place. I managed to get that mostly done as devil boys mum had called to say that as they had set out later they would bring him back home.

The twins were really good while they were out which meant that I was able to get lots done. When they got back they told me that Wolfie had been fed his dinner and that while they walked around the shops he was really well behaved. He held Devil boys mums hand while she walked sown the street and was really well behaved in the shops. Bless Wolfie though he cried when Devil boys mum and dad left. That is the first time he has done that.

He settled off to sleep really well and while Devil boy went to his friend’s house I phoned up my friend. It was really funky chatting to her and I chatted to her for ages. I am really looking forward to seeing her again at some point.

After I had spoken to my friend I phoned up my mum to see how dad was getting on. I have not heard from her in a while. I spoke to her for ages. Dad is still unfortunately in hospital and he is very down that he is not making a quick enough recovery to go home. Mum is not happy about the standard of his aftercare. She told me that while she knew that the hospital did not have good reports but she hoped that they heart department would be good. She was telling me that she had to complain to get the light bulb replaced in the toilet on his ward. Mum told me that she had not wanted to phone me and worry me as I already have a lot to worry about. I told her that she must phone me up as I think she is trying to do to much and she is bottling up things which is not good for her. She was glad that I called and she said that she would call tomorrow. She was telling me that dad is very depressed in the hospital and beginning to regret getting the operation done. Hopefully he will recover enough to go home soon as I am sure that once he is home he will make a quicker recovery and begin to feel much better. I hope that mum will phone more often to let off steam. I can still managed to feed and wind the twins while chatting to her on the phone and it is good for her to have someone to offload her worries onto as she can not say them to dad as he is feeling down enough. It will also help mum to look after dad. I will also phone mum up more often just to make sure that she does chat about it as well.

Though because I was on the phone so much I was only able to reply to a couple of the messages that my friends sent me. I will have to try and catch up tomorrow instead as I am getting tired now and I need to get ready for the night shift.
