Friday 14th

A sad thing happened last night. I was just about to turn off the TV when I just looked at the mouse trap. It was then that I noticed that the peanut butter was not there and I realized that there must be a mouse in it. I knew it would not be good as I had not checked the trap that day. I picked up the trap and as I suspected the mouse did not look in a good way at all. It was alive but only just. I put it at the end of the garden where it could find some scraps of food and it was raining, so it could gt moisture. But sadly it was not enough. I saw the poor wee mites body where I had put it. I really wish I had have noticed it earlier. I had been at the back of the TV earlier on but I did not notice it. I think that because the trap had been empty for a few days that I was not expecting it to be today. I have been feeling bad about it all day today. I must make sure that it does not happen again.

Apart from that, today has been a good day. I have been busy but I have also found the time to relax.

I should have done more in the morning though but I got caught up with watching funny clips on the Internet.

I did do something good in the afternoon. While the younglings were playing outside I took out a chair and I carried on working on editing the short story that I am writing. It was nice to be out with the wee ones. It was also good to see them want to spend less time on the computer and watching the TV.

The DVD's that I rented arrived today. I have enjoyed watching Yu-Gi-Oh and so have the younglings. I have also thought of a few films that I would like to see. I will get them out once I have sent these DVD's back. The film I will be watching with my partner will be Galaxy quest. That is a fun film so it will be good to see it again.

I went to visit my friend while my step daughter went dancing. I really must do something about the clutter at our home. I know that she has had a mass declutter drive in preparation of her sister in law coming over to live but it looks like there is plenty of space there. I need to do something to make our home feel the same. Especially in the kitchen. There is so much space in my friends kitchen and it is small like ours. Though she has more cupboard space. Our kitchen is knackered so we have to put a lot of stuff on the sides as we have nowhere else to put it.
