I am sure that the twins have a sensor that lets them know that I have gone to bed. I took them through to the back room and got ready for bed. They seemed settled so I got into bed. I heard them stir strait away.
Within 10 minutes of me getting into bed Elbereth woke up. I got her up changed her fed and winded her. I tried to settle her back into her basket and Malach woke up. They both would not settle. I got frustrated with them as I would have preferred them to have been like this in the early evening when I could have dealt with it better.
I am not sure how long it took but I eventually managed to get them to settle and get some sleep. They slept quite well and if they woke they settled quickly. I got quite a good sleep in the end.
When I woke up I decided to check the time and I leapt out of bed when I realised that it was 10.30. The health visitor said she would call around at that time. I got up and dressed quickly.
Thankfully she arrived late, which gave me time to get breakfast. She came around with Elbereths red book and told me that she will bring Malachs book on another day as they had ran out of boy’s books. It went well and she told me that I was doing really well. She is calling around again next Monday and will bring the scales with her. Hopefully the twins will be getting along funkily. She also gave me a leaflet about settling babies. I am going to take it to bed with me tonight, as tonight will probably be another unsettled night.
The day sent well. The Tesco order arrived and I cleaned up a little. Devil boy’s daughter came around in the afternoon. She fussed over the babies which made Wolfie jealous and he in turn slapped her a few times.
Wolfie settled better tonight and I am hoping that he will sleep well again like he did last night.
I have just relaxed this evening and I am planning to go to bed earlier tonight in the hope that I can get a little rest before they become unsettled.
