Welcome to 2006

Happy New Year :D

Devil boy got home in time to see in the New Year with me. I treated myself to one drink (my first since October) There were lots of fireworks but I managed to speak to my mum and Devil boys relatives before Wolfie was woken by the fireworks. I wish they would not set off fireworks though as it is not fair on babies and children trying to sleep as well as animals. Thankfully he settled off quickly.

Devil boy went back to his brother’s house at about 12.30 and I went to bed with a hot water bottle.

Wolfie woke at about 5.15, which was shortly after Devil boy got in when I decided that I would bring him through. He settled off nicely and he got up at 8 followed by me at 8.30.

Thankfully I am feeling so much better today after how rotten I felt last night. I felt really sick as it got nearer to 12 o’clock. I really thought I was going to be sick at one point. Thankfully I was not though.

I did get a surprise when from around 10 in the morning till 3.30 in the afternoon I got strong braxton hicks. I did for a while think that labour might have started but when they started to fade I realised that my body is just preparing myself for the main event. I am hoping that they decided to stay inside for some extra cooking time. The more cooking time will mean they should be hopefully better prepared for the outside world.

I have pottered about the house today picking up bits of clutter here and there but I have mainly had a relaxing day and now I have just had a large meal to eat I am tempted to go to bed now. I have suddenly come over really tired and I just feel like lying in bed and trying to get a really good night’s sleep to get over this cold. I did not really get the best nights sleep last night and while I have felt good throughout the day it is beginning to catch up on me.

Unfortunately someone outside has decided that they are going to set off a lot of fireworks so I think I will wait until they have finished in case I have to go through to Wolfie. I must be boring but I really do not understand the fascination with fireworks.

I am just hoping that not only the twins stay where they are but Wolfie sleeps well so I can get a good nights rest.
