A day of cleaning

I did get a nice lie in and I am actually glad that I did not get the normal length of lie in that I normally get. It gave me a good sleep but still gave me time to get jobs done.

I managed to get some cleaning up done, I cleaned the bathroom, moved the bedding out of the hall, gave the living room a really good clean and did a lot of cleaning in the kitchen. I like the place looking clean so I need to make sure that I do this often so that the place stays looking nice and that I can start clearing through the junk that is in the shed. I really need to get rid of the clutter that we have got.

An interesting thing did happen to me today though. I was just using the bathroom when I accidentally managed to knock the ball out of the ring that is in my special piercing. Of course it went down the toilet. Even thought I knew what I had to do I did not like it. It could have been worse though. It could have pinged off around the room and I would not have been able to have seen it or even worse, I could have been been putting my hand through a mess to get to it.

Thankfully while not nice it was not too bad. I found the ball and I sprayed it with anti-bacterial cleaner and soaked it in boiling water before I put it back in. Putting that back in was an interesting challenge. It would have been funny if the younglings had walked in on me doing that.

The younglings have not been too bad today. They have had their moments but generally they have not been too bad. I was able to get the cleaning done with them around so that was something. It is strange that I can get housework done when they are in the house but not when they and my partner are in. Maybe it is because there are too many people in the way. I need to sort something out for the summer holidays though otherwise the place will look a mess very quickly.

My partner did not catch any fish today but he did have fun and he brought back some maggots to put in the fridge. It is strange seeing them wriggling about.

After he got in I was able to get out to the shops. I was not impressed when I saw some Rangers football fans. They were all chanting 'Clap it you hate Glasgow Celtic' before clapping. It just seems so childish. I understand them being happy that Rangers won but why can they not just celebrate winning rather than berating their rivals. It is so petty.

There was another thing to annoy me when I got home. My partner told me that the landlords wife came around to tell us that a builder was coming around to inject silicone into the walls. She barged into the house moaning about the mess. Our home may not be spotless but it is not that bad. There are clothes piles in the bedroom but they have been a lot worse and that is not dirty but just cluttered. She is so rude and neither my partner or I like her at all.
