I went shopping today. My partner was not able to get out to the RSPB so I decided to go shopping today. I have not been out of town shopping for a while and I am ready for it. I also needed to get some presents for people.
I was able to get some really funky presents from the poundshop.I love that store. I got some oil burners and incense burners for my friends as well as for me. to look at them you would not guess that they were from the poundshop. they are so cute and look well made as well. That store is one of my favorites in the town where I go shopping. I can get some great bargains from there.
I got a black currant bush from there as well. I have potted it so we will see how it settles over the next week. While it had a good amount of new growth I could tell that it needed repotting and soon. The poundshop may be a funky shop but it is not the ideal place to sell potted plants. I thought about getting some bulbs but they all looked like they were non-native species. After what my partner told me about the impact of introduced species I have tried to stick to something native. We checked the black currant and found that it is a native and an nationalized plant. But it will not have a negative impact on the environment.
I got presents for my younglings there as well. I got the boys cars which they loved and a couple of doctors sets for my daughter. She loved them and was so excited when she saw them. I was able to get my stap daughter a picture frame.
The one thing that I did forget to get was some school uniform for my eldest for next year. I will call in again on Friday and see if I can pick up anything. It can be very expensive to get the uniform at once so it works out better to get it a bit at a time. this will be especially important next year when I will be getting uniforms for three.
My partner though sadly tonight has discovered a mouse in our bedroom. Darn it. I have moved the clothes that were on the floor in the wardrobe off the floor level. I will now need to find a new place to put them. Also sadly the mouse ran away before my partner was able to catch it so I am not sure where it is. I will have to check one place where I think there could be some access. Darn it and darn them.
