I managed to get another lie in. I did not spend as much time in bed as the other day but it was just nice not to have to get up early and rush out of the house.
I am really enjoying the relaxed mornings and I am making the most of them before I have to return to the madness next week.
The land lord came around with a carpenter today and has told us that we will be getting a new kitchen fitted. I thought about mentioning about the problem with the mice but I kept quiet. I will have to tell him at some point.
We got our latest batch of DVD that we have rented. We got the 39 steps and kung fu panda. Kung fu panda was a cute film. I am glad that I rented it as I know that it would not have been seen enough times to justify buying it. Hopefully it will not take too long before my partner gets used to this system and cuts down on the amount of DVDs that we buy. I also enjoyed watching the 39 steps. It has been a while since I last saw the film and it is interesting to see the differences from the book. It is good to see the bits from the book that was included./ I did however like that one of the Scottish actors used the word ken. It is nice to see Scottish slang used in a mainstream film.
I was watching one of the programmes on Discovery home and health that I like to see, Little people big world. In one of the episodes they decided to give their 12 year old son a cell phone. They gave him some rules but he ignored them and managed in one month to send 8000 text messages costing them $2650. Even when I was younger I did not manage to create that sort of bill. He not surprisingly enough has had the phone taken back off him. I think that if I ever get my younglings a cell phone then it will definitely be a pay as you go cell.
